Great value and location”
The ANA Intercontinental is really a tale of two stories. The Pros. The location is unbeatable within 10 min walk to 4 subway stations with access to many different lines to get around the city. It is conveniently located to bustling restaurant / nightlife hubs of Roppongi and Akasaka. Also it is connected to a commercial complex called Ark Hills which has about 10-15 restaurant options. The food we experienced was limited to the breakfast buffet and a Japanese breakfast but we thought both were high quality. The facilities are great, including a nice gym which is also well appointed, a few shops within the hotel (eg pastry shop and a cigar store), and a nice bar on the top floor. Lastly, the price was fantastic for the Christmas period. Frankly it was the best 4.5 Star hotel we could find for the price. The cons boil down to 2 things: the room quality (presumably only non-club floors?) is really not great; more similar to a 3.5 Star. Also front desk staff was slow.
ANA Stay”
We visit Japan on a regular basis and stay at many different Tokyo hotels. The ANA Intercontinental is a beautiful, classy 5 star hotel. The lobby area is busy with staff helping many visitors. A lot of foreign guests compared with what we are used to. Excellent choice of restaurants in and around the hotel. Located close to Roppongi nightlife area and within close walking distance of 4 different shrines. The room we had on the 26th floor was spacious with a nice bathroom. Great TV coverage. Many channells with a few English programs including news and movies. Unfortunately we found the beds way too soft for our liking and the hot water did not last for a shower and bath. A shame as we love the Japanese bath culture. Beautiful hotel but we would not choose to stay here again.
One of my top 3 hotels in Tokyo”
This hotel has it all. Yes it a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. It is located near most of the Embassies and within walking distance of the Roppongi entertainment district. From the luxurious decor to the vast size of the lobby, this hotel deserves a 5 star rating. The staff literally goes out of their way to ensure you are taken care of and are comfortable. The rooms are cozy and the bed is so comfortable that I fell asleep within 5 minutes of laying down on it. I will definitely stay at the ANA InterContinental Hotel again on my next visit to Tokyo.
Great Location, Great service, excellent value...!”
We had 3 days of business and 3 days of leisure in Tokyo over the New year period, we enjoyed the ANA InterContinental for good value in general, except for the Food & Beverage. Internet was great in the room, TV was a bit average but we didnt expect much in the way of in-room entertainment in english. Location was awesome. Concierge team were very good at giving advice in general but need to learn more about the tours they recommend or make bookings for, we went on Mt Fuji tour - the "inclusive lunch" for additional Y2,000 was a complete bust, tiny meal, not tasty and not good service.. better to go without, most on our tour just ignored it and bought take-away at the next stop...
ANA InterContinental: worthy of its 5-star rating”
I made the right decision in choosing ANA InterContinental Tokyo. Its personnel are commendable for their courtesy and efficiency. It offers excellent housekeeping with ample daily replenishment of toiletries. It likewise have a number of fine restaurants.
Kudair”
ANA Intercontinental in Minato-Ku-Ku, Tokyo is an excellent hotel, next to Tokyo subway station Tameike-Sanno and is very clean. The rooms are spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a wide variety of well prepared food.
Great location, excellent concierge service”
ANA offers the standards equivalent of Intercontinental hotels globally. The hotel well located near subway station and with an all round excellent service. Nice sized rooms, good breakfast spread and very well informed concierge service. The airport limousine bus also stops at the hotel. Close proximity to Roppongi area; shopping, eateries, clubs, etc. Highly recommended.
Nice Hotel”
We enjoyed our stay at the ANA Continental very much. The staff were exceptionally helpful, spoke English very well and were always available to us for making transportation arrangements, reservations at restaurants, sorting out directions etc. The hotel is located just steps away from the underground rail station making it very easy to get around the city in this way. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a modern decor. I would recommend this hotel to travelers who are new to Tokyo and for people traveling on business.
Big rooms and great breakfast buffe”
It was a pleasure to stay at InterContinental ANA Tokyo hotel. The rooms where spacious, the breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
i have stayed at the ana before intercontinental took over. you can clearly see a difference. what was once a cold enviournment now has a warm feeling due to the color changes and new designs.
Top Class Hotel in the Entertainment District”
great stay at the ana in tokyo. very nice hotel and youn get what you pay for. good quality service with good rooms and good restaurant facilities. as usual the japanese hotel staff are very helpful! the hotel is in a great location next to the entertainment district of tokyo. many restaurants and bars within 2 minutes walk.
Nice appearance, but some issues underneath”
My stay at the ANA was not what I expected. I have long wanted to stay at this hotel and had heard many good things. Unfortunately, there were problems from the beginning. First I arrived one hour after check in only to find that my king premier room was not ready. I was forced to wait about an hour to get my room ready. That coupled with the 20 minutes I spent standing in the Disneyland-like line at the check in counter quickly soured my mood. The room was nice and typical of the other InterContinental's that I have stayed, but overall I felt staff performance was poor. Response times for things like additional towels or having food or other items sent up was horrendous and twice was wrong. It just seemed to me that the staff was distracted and not truly keeping track of what was going on. Still, the room was fine and I got a great night's sleep with a spectacular view. The 2 pm check out allowed me to get practically another day in Tokyo before having to go to the airport and there is no way to beat the central location and ease of getting around downtown.
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
convenience, efficiency and grace mark the ana hotel tokyo. it is just a short walk from the entertainment centers of roppongi and akasaka, close to the central government offices, but secluded enough to be away from the flow of tokyo's commuter rush.
Modern high-end hotel with great rooms”
Being IHG member for just a few days I was pleasantly surprised to get a room upgrade - very high with great view. This hotel is one of the best intercons I have stayed in - newly refurbished, dark modern feel, and really great rooms. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Location is both close to airport highway and the subway to get around. Only downside was a la carte breakfast was small and extremely expensive, so get blast included or the buffet. Highly recommended hotel at a sensible price by tokyo standards

ANA AKASAKA”
ANA Intercon is an excellent spot handy to Ginza, Roppongi, subway lines to Asakusa, Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc. The service levels at the hotel were excellent and the staff very professional. Check In however was not met with a smile and “welcoming” feeling although it was acceptable. The hotel is also convenient (door to door) to the Limousine Bus to the airport. The rooms are a bit on the small side but clean, well organized and functional.
Grand Dame of Tokyo”
Second stay at the ANA Intercon Tokyo. Always lovely to return and the buffet breakfast is something to look forward to. Excellent choices. Good pool of staff, from front desk to the restaurant section. Keep up the good work.
Excellent hotel overall”
My boyfriend and I stayed at ANA Intercon for four days and had a very good experience. Staff performance was outstanding - they were attentive, knowledgeable, resourceful and spoke English very well. The hotel was in excellent condition and while I didn't dine there myself, the restaurant was almost always busy so I'm guessing the food is a draw factor as well. It does have a 'business' ambiance so I might not suggest this hotel for couples or families but with such easy access to the subway (stone's throw from the hotel entrance) it is suitable for most.
Great hotel, centrally located, elegant atmosphere”
my wife and i were primarily looking for an affordable hotel in close proximity to the us embassy (which is right around the corner from the hotel btw)what we received is, exactly what we paid for, and so much more!!! as soon as we arrived, we were promptly greeted & escorted by the english speaking staff, to the front desk for check in.. check in was as seamless as it should be, with no hassle.. we were in our room literally within ten minutes!! there are a number of restaurants conveniently located inside the hotel (one of which is listed in the tokyo michelin guide), if you are pressed for time, or simply dont feel like exploring around the roppongi/akibahara area... room service was as good as anyone could expect... if you forgot it, they can provide it (for additional cost of course). cost was relative to the location. would definately recommend, and would definately stay there again! a++!!!
Pricey, but great location and excellent facilities”
I stay at the ANA whenever its pricing is reasonable enough to allow. It's perfectly located for my business obligations, and close to the Metro to allow access to everywhere else. Being an upmarket establishment, it lacks a relaxed, friendly bar where you might find another solo traveller to chat with, but in pretty much every other way it is excellent. My only small gripe is that it could use a wider range of pillow options.
