Location and Stairs”
It was a fantastic location to getaway from the city. Highly recommend if you want to getaway and chill. Only problem with the place I have is the numerous stairs. I brought my dad there, and there was a lot, and I don't mean ten, I mean a lot of steep stairs to get to and fro the swimming pool. So I would be careful if you have children or elderly. Its very steep. But other than that, rooms were great, would definitely come back without the elders haha.
Had a lovely stay here”
Staff is very very friendly, breakfast was nice and location is perfect for us.
Got upgraded, can't complain!”
Nice place, great views at breakfast. Appreciate the upgrade!
Villa for your soul ”
Excellent hotel in the middle of jungle, we really loved it. All was good, maybe I wish more options in a breakfast
Relax and chill”
The resort and area around is peaceful and nice. Breakfast is good and staff very friendly. They provide free shuttle bus to downtown area. Highly recommend.
I stayed here for my birthday with a group of friends and it was definitely a relaxing trip. The three bedroom villa with private pool was basically a house it was so huge. The pools (the private not main) had a lot of bugs on the perimeter but that was out of control of the property. The free breakfast was so delicious and the property is very spacious. The staff was also sooo welcoming and nice
The place has gone downhill - look for somewhere else”
This place has gone down hill since the last 2 times staying here over the last couple of years. Villa 5 provided was made out to be a a free upgrade.. worst couch, broken lamps, stained cushions, ants and spiders in the bed, water leaks from the roof, faulty remote controls, weak aircon, outdated food menus (prices have gone up 30% more), non private “private pool”.. staff entered villa without knocking and attempted to take my umbrella?? The fitness centre equipment is all broken.. food very average. The place is really poorly run, can’t recommend and won’t stay again.
In the middle of the nature”
We wanted to stay near the forest and this is the reason for chosing Anahata. We stayed in a big 3 bdroom vila even if we paid for a single room. The private and the public pool are nice, you have in front only the forest and you can see monkeys in trees. The hotel is 15 minutes away from Ubud by car or motorbike so if you don't plan to rent motorbike for mobility (hotel have for rent at a good price) you better chose something closer to Ubud, even if they have free shuttle bus to and from Ubud 3/day. If you are looking for 5 stars resorts and confort and if you are afraid of lizards (there are many and they enter the rooms but are harmless and hide from people) then Anahata is not for you. If you like to hear the river and the forest noise, to get a good value for money, then Anahata will be a good experience
Fabulous hide away”
If you love nature, this villa will be your favorite. We love everything about the villa, the lush surrounding, peace and quiet...except some noisy asian tourists next door. There were some monkeys on the trees. The breakfast was good, though not too many selections but tasty. The only cons: bath towel, blanket and pillow ...they really really really need improvement and replacement. The wifi was good. We love everything about the villa
Extremely nice resort in the jungle forest. Stayed for 3 nights in a private villa with pool. Staff is very very friendly, breakfast is generous and of good quality. Main pool and other views are amazing. Only issue is that it is a few km away from the city center thus you need some type of transportation( we had scooters). Overall I would say is a 4+/5. Highly recommended
Bad experience and terrible stay never before”
I am a frequent traveller and this was the most terrible stay never before. Everythings in the hotel was run down and dirty. Bad condition toilet and leaking everywhere in the room ! Reached the lobby during heavy rain and requested umbrella for 6 of us , they are lack of umbrella for supply and the way to our villa was without cover walkway. Once we reached the room, we found that was leaking in the top room of villa. We made complaint and they send somebody to check for it and said will prepare additional bed to sleep in the living hall. For sure we refuse for such arrangement and request to change another 3 bed room villa. Finally we got transfer to another villa during the rain and the another villa was leaking too ! According to the staff, most of the rooms were leaking and they are facing several complaint. This was the first and last time we stay in this villa. Please refurbish and change everything in your villa and think twice for those who would like to book this stay !
It was probably the best retreat. Thank you for the lovely stay. Will definitely come back for another retreat.
Very comfortable stay”
Booked a three-bedroom villa with private pool, and very satisfied with the nice view and facilities. View from public pool is how you would really imagine Ubud to be- surrounded by lush forest. Though you may be required for a cardio workout to get to the pool and the river nearby. Staff were amazing, always smiling and ready to assist you, especially Minnie, their receptionist. Breakfast was nice and always different everyday. Feels like home. Would definitely be back if I have a chance. :)
Nice hotel with large room ”
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was nice. We simply love our 3 floors villa with private swimming pool. There are 2 rooms on the first level and 1 super big on the 3rd level. The facilities are good but it is just old and need to be renewed. The bed pillow and towel need to be replaced with new ones as well. Hope this hotel will get some renovation soon. The breakfast donot have many variations I think it just because of the guest capacity. Overall I love this hotel. I
the hotel is amazing, great value, rooms are really big and clean. we stayed at the gardens view room and we could see monkeys from our balcony. that was really cool. very peaceful place, food is ok, stuff was excellent, we will be back.
it is such a unforgettable stay in Anahata.”
Though it is quite far from the town centre, but the attentive staff do provide shuttle for us. We were warmly greeted upon arrival until we left. As group of friends, we had a great vacation relaxing in the villa with its amazing scenery surrounded by nature. It would be better if the tv provides more international channels.
huge villa, private access to river, gorgeous view”
Anahata 3-bedroom villa is perfect for you if you: - are not looking for luxury accommodation, but something nice (the place isn't brand new) the villa has everything, dipping pool, 3 large bathrooms, a small kitchenette - are traveling in big group (3BR villa could fit 12 people) - are not looking to be in the middle of everything (eg. shopping, city center) other than rice fields, forest, and river - good service -not so great breakfast food though I did the rice fields trekking and it was awesome! the walk down to the river is great too.
The premises of the hotel are lovely, quiet and tranquil. The resort on the other hand leaves a lot to desire. We had booked a suite for 2 ppl and a villa for 6 ppl. The villa had the a/c in the living room faulty. Informed the staff, but nothing could be done. The a/c had to be set eighter on or off continuously, nothing in between. The lights in the upstair bedroom were not all working and during the night was really dark in the room, the villa's pool was just filthy, couldnt see the bottom at all, green in color, full of leaves and also the outside pool light wasnt working. Not enought plates and glases for the number of ppl in the villa, 1 sunbed for 6 ppl and 2 wooden outside chairs; no matress for the sunbed or at least cushions for the only 2 chairs which are verry unconfortable to sit. Paint is pilling off the walls. had a stained pillow case, asked and showed which one to change. The housekeeper changed the clean one( covered the original one with a new one) . Pool is dangerou
Lovely quiet location”
It was amazingly peaceful here with the sound of the running river, the rainforest and the birds. With so few rooms you almost feel like the only guests! Plenty of monkeys around which the kids were so excited about. I’d say in its day this was a beautiful resort, it’s glory has faded a little and everything is just ready for a bit of maintenance. But everything was functional, the staff were lovely and helpful, and the peace and quiet made up for the fact it was a little rough around the edges. I was worried about the food options here as it’s quite isolated but the buffet breakfast was fabulous and all of the lunch and dinner menu items we tried were delicious filling meals. The shuttle service ran reliably into town so it was easy to also get some meals and supplies there. I was under the impression the 3 bed apartments had cooking facilities but there were just plates, cutlery and a small microwave & fridge plus a kitchen sink with no plug.
Excellent stay in a beautiful resort”
This is perfect if you want some time out to relax and chill, beautiful scenic location surrounded by rainforest and bush. Staff are outstanding and there is a spa and yoga available on site. They also offer a shuttle back and forth to Ubud several times per week. Would highly recommend and would return in a second. Thanks for a lovely stay!
