Nice quiet peacefu cleanl hotel just about. ”
This was our third time over 4-5 years or so that we passed through Sukhothai and every time we stayed here. Hotel is still nice but getting a little old perhaps a little more maintenance around the place would be nice. However, the room itself where it really counts, is superb. Superior type room is large with sofa and large bath room. Bed is nice to sleep in. Breakfast included was just minimum, but alright. I didn't try the Internet connection but I suppose there is free wifi available. Te hotel is very very quiet and hardly anything for you to do, see or even eat. Recommend that you stay here only if you have a car to stroll out from time to time. That said the hotel represents value for money and certainly would recommend anyone staying on tight budget but expect nice clean comfortable rest. I would give it 3.5 stars

Ananda Hotel in Sukhothai, Thailand”
We had two very nice stays at the Ananda Hotel. It was nice enough on our way to our destination that we decided to stay there on our way back also. The staff was very helpful from the "get go". They met us as we arrived and were available immediately to help up park and pack our bags. Our first stay was upgraded free to the superior room which was very nice. The staff met our expectations of the Thai people. They were warm, friendly and greeted us with smiles.

Average”
A so-called 'boutique hotel' the Ananda Museum Gallery has opted for an original design and concept. As a result, every second wall is raw, undecorated cement, there is no carpet and the layout of the hotel is somewhat strange (ie. you must walk to the side of the building to get to the staircase and then walk back to your room once you are on the first and only floor, which means you end up walking twice the length of the building when a middle-of-the-building staircase would have been much more efficient). The Ananda has also chosen to save the planet and to provide its guests with environment-friendly soap and shampoo. Unfortunately the soap, though very nice, wears off so fast that one shower only is enough to finish the bar off and the shampoo feels like cheap washing-up liquid. The air/con in our room was not working very well but this is hopefully not the case in every room. I also found the room to be quite dark and the lighting poor but this is only my taste and other people might enjoy dim lights. Finally, the location of the hotel — on the other side of the new city from the historical park — makes it *very* awkward to visit Sukhothai if you do not have your own car. And even if you have, it still is more than 15km to the temples.

Good hospitality”
i used to stay here a couple years ago in deluxe room, it is very impressive. on this visit, every room is occupied. we had to stay in superior room. it's only acceptable for the price we paid. the breakfast is still the same as last time i visit. the staffs are helpful and good hospitality. by overall, if i had to visit at sukhothai with business or family reason, this is the only hotel in sukhothai that i'm willing to re-visit again

Quiet, clean and comfort!”
This is my 1st time in Sukhothai. I've spent 2 nights at the hotel - although the hotel is not near the historic sites, but if you have transportation it is a great place to stay. The rooms are comfy and clean, with a really nice mixture on Thai and modern decoration. It is very affordable, and great value for money. The hotel staff are very helpful and have excellent service quality.

Very helpful and friendly staff”
Despite the shower the room was clean, bathroom a good standard and room service very quick. The hotel was about 10k's from the Old Sukhothai Historical park but we took a taxi tour from the hotel. Well worth the visit the temples are amazing in beautiful parkland. New Sukhothai was not much to look at but overall our short stay was made very pleasant as all the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly

Good Hotel”
The hotel is nice and clean with good design in Thai style. The staffs are friendly and helpful. I quite impress with the good service. However the hotel is in Sukhothai down town and quite far from The Historical Park.

Beautiful Thai style hotel”
Clean and beautiful hotel with nice Thai deco. Is a nice and quiet hotel out of the city. Transportation can be a arrange with ease from the hotel to where I want to go. Breakfast is good in the restaurant next to a small padi field. And there's a museum with numbers of ancient artifacts collection.

A Nice Two storey hotel”
The hotel was nice with little human activities. The rooms are generally spacious and clean. Stayed for a night. However, better maintenance needed. One of our booked rooms did not have hot water for showers the next morning and staff could not figure out the cause of it. Only a handful of Staff around most of the time but are generally polite and helpful when approached. Unless you have a car, it can be difficult to move around. However, it is a good place to have a good rest before exploring Sukhothai. Breakfast is very standard. No buffet spread. There is a museum nearby displaying potteries and related actefacts. Need to pay to enter.

Interesting Hotel”
Ananda Museum Hotel in Sukhothai is a bit rundown. The rooms are big and kept clean, I could have used a hair dryer in the room. They have waterheater for coffee and tea, which is nice. Staff is helpfull and friendly. Hotel is located a little bit outside town. Breakfast buffet was nice with good choice.

Tastefully designed but in the middle of nowhere..”
I booked this hotel as it is the nearest hotel to the bus station that is available on Agoda. On the plus side, it has this boutique feel. Very nicely decorated, including a gallery museum on the first floor. The restaurant served rather authentic and tasty Thai food. On the minus side, this hotel is really located in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing within walking distance. Just a small provision shop about 200 - 400 metres away. If you love street food or night market, this would not be a very good choice. If you like beautiful hotel that is very well designed, you might like this place.

good location and nice”
I and another 7 family members stayed in this hotel at the last travel date of our Chiengmai trip and we checked in this hotel before back to bangkok. The hotel is located in a good location, the lobby is nice, clean and charming style. There are many foreigners stayed in this hotel, at that day the occupancy rate is almost 90%. The room is good, clean and safe. The breakfast is not good, the staff service is not good. We love the museum of antiques in this hotel. We enjoyed to walk around the hotel and see the nature. The style of this hotel is simple but elegant. We are satisfied this hotel if compared with the mosy that we paid.

Slightly over priced in all areas...basic living”
Well the stay was hampered by no internet access throughout the stay which was a major pain as all the tv was in Thai ...as expected. No plasma tvs, just the old style big tvs, with very limited channel choice. There is a very over priced spa there which is full price even for guests ,,,,I didn't go as uncanny get a perfectly good spa in town for a fraction of the cost. And there is a museum there in the grounds of the hotel, which was also full price , even for guests. Strange, so I didn't get the spa, didn't visit the museum, well what else is there to do near the hotel? Nothing.

Ananda Museum Hotel Sukhothai”
This hotel is obviously under-used as there were very few people staying there, and we were there during Loy Kratong. And that's too bad, because it's gem. Especially enjoyed the museum on the grounds.

Far from town & the sights”
We only stopped here for one night on our drive from Bangkok to Chiang Mai thinking that we would spend more nights on the return journey. The town is quite a way from the hotel so you need your own transport or hire a samlor (not many pass the hotel, but reception can get you one). The historical park is even further away but there is plenty of busses to be found once you get into town. The rooms are big, clean and nicely designed, old style furniture. Breakfast was poor. The hotel was quiet, this may have been due to it being mid-week, I expect it is livlier at the weekend. On our return we stayed several nights at the Sukhothai Treasure Resort & Spa (owned by the same people I am told) this is newly built, great pool, free wi-fi, loveley staff and closer to the historical park (still need transport). They are offering a great rate while the all the work is not complete.
