Fantastic stay in a lakeside resort”
The basics: Room/bed was very comfortable, WiFi worked well in and outside of the room, the shower always had hot water, and the breakfast was fantastic. Day one was a buffet, day two was ready-to-order breakfast due to me being the only guest at the resort that morning. Both were excellent! The restaurant at dinnertime was also fantastic. There were other cheaper local restaurants within a long walking distance of the resort, but I did not feel the need to go to them because the restaurant at Ananta Inlay was so delicious with many choices, and prices were very reasonable. I did not take advantage of any tour packages offered by the resort, so I cannot comment on those. The sunsets were spectacular, and considering the more expensive resorts on either side of Ananta, this was a very great value. I would stay here again: 10/10.

Excellent value. Quiet location. Only a few flaws”
You basically have 2 choices, stay in Nyaungshwe before the lake, or move on & stay on the lake to the E or S . We choose Ananta at the lake 20 min past the city. SO glad we did. We still took a taxi back into town, but it was so quiet at the lake we did the right thing. 2nd week in Jan, supposed to be tourist time, & felt like we had the place to ourselves. Staff was first class, always willing to help. Room was very nice. Spacious w/ beautiful teakwood floors. Rainfall shower and big soaking tub. Even a turn down service in the evening. They turned down the bed, did a quick mosquito spray, and left fresh cakes/cookies. ( 0 mosquitos in the room the entire trip) One fault though: From the bathroom to the room is an open window, with nothing but a wood shutter between. So when you are sitting on the toilet, you are about 3 ft from the bed, with only a louvered shutter in between. If you can deal with this, you will be happy you chose this hotel.

The room is very spacious, clean, bright and quiet. The view toward the sunset is magnificent. The swimming pool is nice. Breakfast is excellent and varied. They also have free bicycles for you to ride around the lake. There is a dock where you can board your tour boat (you can book a tour from anywhere and tell them to go to the dock to pick you up, you don't necessarily have to book it from the resort).

Lovely view on the lake ”
What stand out for me in Ananta hotel was the location close to the lake and with wonderful view on the lake and to the mountains and the friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, but they have a good variety of everything. The pool in the courtyard is super lovely and super noisy at the same time. There were families with small children and friends and it gets really noisy in the pool and in the rooms as the walls echo back and also in the terraces, which are all overlooking to the pool. In these moment I “escaped” to the bridge, which takes you far away from the hotel and especially during the sunset is a lovely place to sit. All in all I would suggest Ananta hotel, but keep in mind that depending on the other guests it might get a bit noisy sometimes.

Loved everything about the resort. Hotel staff were helpful and arranged for our all day trips and transportation. The long bridge to the boat was beautiful, it was a perfect spot for nice photos. The swimming pool was sweet too. The restaurant was not that spacious but the food was great.

Beautiful hotel by Inle Lake ”
Pro: on the water with a pier, beautiful property, friendly staff Con: far from the town. You need to pay extra for a pick up by tour companies (but worth it). We walked around Nyaungshwe on our last day. I was happy that we spent a bit more for the accommodation. It was much nicer by the lake.

Rooms where very clean and spacious with complementary drinks and snacks. View from the pool is stunning and sunset view is lovely. Very nice arriving by boat with staff on hand to take your luggage. The restaurant was quite slow to provide food, but the staff were very accommodating and offered us a discount given we had to eat our food in a bit of a rush. Overall a lovely hotel with great staff, good breakfast and if you choose to the massage was very good as well. Great value for money.

After Kalaw trekking with my little kid, we need comfortable hotel. This is the best option. Most of all, the people are so kind. They are ready to solve your lots of problems. You know, the location is little bit away from the Nyang Wu region, but as for me that;s not serious thing. My family had have a fantastic restoration here. My Myanmar is here.

Another Great stay at an Ananta Hotel”
We spent 3 nights here and again a great hotel with excellent staff and great rooms! My wife left some expensive shoes at our previous hotel (Ananta Bagan Hotel) and the staff here called them and had them delivered to our room the next day at no charge - unbelievable! I can't say enough about this chain - the rooms are large and comfy with free mini-bar and unlimited water. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and make it a very friendly stay. This is close to the local market and easy access to the docks for boat tours of Inle. Overall a great stay and well worth it - again would definitely be back!

Outstanding location fantastic staff”
My wife and I just loved this place. The setting was so beautiful and peaceful. No main road, no noise besides the local wildlife, it was just a place to unwind and relax. If you are looking for a place with loads of action and nightlife then is it not the place for you. If on the other hand you want a place to enjoy clean air, peace and a slower place then highly recommend you stay here. If you included the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff you have a perfect combination. As an example I asked could a bottle of champagne be put into our room on our arrival for our anniversary, which they did; however what I did not expect was the flower petals on the bed spelling out "Happy Anniversary". It was touched like this that made us feel special and showed just once example of great staff. Definitely we come again.

We were very happy with our choice. Staff were above and beyond to help us. The hotel is right by the lake and a bit far from town. But we loved it! If anything I just would like them to have a specific massage room. Had a massage on regular bedroom not really a relaxing set up. Also a massage table would be better than a bed. But overall a great place.
