This luxury retreat in Siem Reap is only a 10-minute drive from the Siem Reap International Airport, the Angkor Archaeological Park, and the Central Market. This is the only resort in Cambodia that offers a highly acclaimed butler service in all of its studios and suites. The hotel’s breathtaking landscape is the result of its stunning garden and water features as well as architectural design that harmoniously combines a contemporary resort design with subtle images of traditional Cambodian art. Each of its 39 studios and suites is well equipped with modern amenities. At the hotel’s restaurants and bars, guests can choose from classic international and traditional Khmer cuisines while enjoying live music. To de-stress, guests have access to gym facilities, a movies library, or The Spa Apsara which offers spa suites for couples, organic-based treatments, traditional massages, and a special yoga program. Those who prefer outdoor fun can opt for a tailor-made travel and helicopter tours arranged daily by the hotel. Anantara Angkor Resort is a perfect sanctuary for all travelers.

A must to stay for first timer to Siem Reap. Great service with the heart, I mentioned on the hotel survey my bed and pillow was a bit soft during my stay for the second nite, 20 minutes later I was approached by a gentlemen from the resort telling me they fixed my bed and offer me a variety of pillows to choose from. Breakfast is a must to try with buffet style and also a a-la-carte menu of choice if you want more, buffet varies day to day, you won't get those over cooked ham and egg , rubbered toast and soapy congee. Lunch is a must to order tom yum kung with rice, finger lickin' good Dinner must try the 5 courses tasting menu at the chef's table Pool is also must to dip in, salt water with jacuzzi Transportation is free with tuk-tuk, just call 30 minutes before for pick up or drop off anywhere in town They give you a mobile while you stay, so if you don't need wifi on the road, there is no need to get a simcard, wifi in hotel is fast and free.
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The most impressive part of the stay was the excellent service level from all staff. I would rank the service level as one of the best in comparison to hotels that I have stayed in around the world. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Will stay here again for sure!
My new sanctuary with private and luxurious stay”
Recently found 5-star all-Suite hotel in Siem Reap. Beyond expectations from home-feeling Sothea suite to all VIP services and complimentary offers. Compact size enriches the privacy and serenity to ultimate comfort. Long stay during weekdays is perfect choice for soul pampering after World Heritage Sites' exploration. Highly recommended for next dream trip. Be right back for sure.

It's a boutique resort”
Large pool area only for 39 rooms, so it wasn't that crowded (but we were there at low season). Good wifi. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food at the restaurant was pretty good and they can cater to dietary needs. Spa seemed a bit pricey. The hotel arranges free tuk tuk service to town which was convenient. I hear they are going to undergo minor renovation so I look forward to revisiting one day.
Dear Joyce, Thanks again for this wonderful feedback which lead us to improve our service as well as the facilities of the property better. And looking forward to welcoming you at ANANTARA ANGKOR RESORT in the near future. Sincerely, Management Team
Good service but location is slightly far”
Awesome staff, they are all very friendly and helpful. Facility wise is like a classic resort type, the pool and gym are nice, but they don't have a business center, so haha I guess you really can put your work aside while you are there. Hotel location is a bit off from the "downtown" Siem Reap, which makes it a bit slower to travel around. Hotel does provide free tuktuk drop-off and pick-up service, but you need to plan ahead cus it generally takes them15-20 mins to come pick you up.
Dear yin, Thanks again for this wonderful feedback and looking forward to welcoming you at ANANTARA ANGKOR RESORT in the near future. Sincerely, Management Team
Very nice property with a great service”
We had a great stay at this hotel. The property is nice, rooms are comfy and the staff is just fabulous. The location is a bit out of the main dining area, but the hotel has a great complimentary tuk tuk service which works perfectly
Home away from home! ”
The name itself "Sothea" already sounds exotic and I had a wonderful experience during my 2 nights stay there. The employees gave outstanding services with their warm smiles and very quick to address to your needs. A special mention to our butler, Mr.Sorith and our driver Mr.Mai who took good care of me and my 2 friends. They not only ensure our stay was pleasant but helped to arrange our sightseeing trips in order for us to experience the local cultures of the Cambodians. The room was exquisite and large enough to accommodate 3 adults, and I love the intricate carvings that decorate the room. The marriage of modern and tradition designs truly caught my attention. Our room was also facing the salt-water pool and what better way to start the day than to jump into the pool first thing in the morning! It's also the place where you look forward to coming home after a long hot day touring Angkor Wat. Our most memorable experience was having breakfast at the courtyard which I had requested Mr.Sorith to arrange and made possible. It was like a scene from a British movie, with 3 women dining in the center of a courtyard surrounded by water fountains. It was splendid! The Sothea to me, is definitely home away from home!
Fabulous stay, sincere staff, sweet service”
It has great facilities but what makes it outstanding is the service team there. I would have given the service team 6 stars if the top score is 5 stars. The butlers and the receptionists are what I miss most after my stay. They were not just sincere and friendly. They were eager to take extra steps to make sure you would be well taken care of. One morning, I saw every one of the service team holding printouts of the photos of the guests staying at the resort and you could see they were working hard to remember every single guest and you could tell they wanted to make sure they would provide top-notch service. Some of the butlers could address me by my name even I was meeting them only for the first time. They were always staying alert to anyone coming out from the restaurant or the rooms or back from outside and would come all the way from the reception desk to greet me, not just out of courtesy but out of the heart to know more about your travel plan and your needs so that they could
We loved Anantara!”
Smallish hotel with just a few rooms all around a saltwater pool: think riad, not hotel chain. Gated, well-lit, modern Asian architecture, landscaping, and lighting all gave it that resort feel. Spacious modern bathrooms, a pillow menu, great food, great breakfast, crisp sheets, fluffy towels, etc, etc. We looked forward to going home to Anantara after a full day around the city. Everything was clean and well maintained. We had complimentary trips to and from town, for which they provided a phone for us to be able to call for pick ups anywhere in town. But on top of all that was the service. It was not merely accommodating or polite or attentive —- they were sincerely helpful. We felt they really wanted us to enjoy our stay. And it appears to be a company-culture thing, as every single person we dealt with was the same way. We would try every other Anantara resort because of this happy experience here with them at Siem Reap. It was a great decision staying here!
Small but beautiful. ”
Anantara Ankor Hotel in Siemriap is small but beautiful. It's a boutique hotel. The room, food are quite all right but the best is the staff who are friendly and helpful.
Best treatment ever ”
It’s a very nice facility but it’s the service that makes this place standout. Get annoyed with long or slow check in lines? It won’t happen here. We were escorted directly to our room and check -in handled by staff so we could unpack and head directly to the restaurant for dinner. The food was also fantastic, we nearly ate every meal on site and regretted those we didn’t.
We were amazed by the kind, considerate, professional and friendly staff during our 3 night stay. We were welcomed by everyone each time we walked into the hotel as well as throughout the property. Very attentive to details and did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Free tuk tuk rides into the city and they gave us a mobile phone to call them so they could pick us up from our dinners out. I would highly recommend this accommodation and if we make it back to Siem Reap, we will most definitely stay here again.
AMAZING STAFF. Everyone is so friendly and thoughtful. They really care that you have the best time and experience. We only stayed for one night but I have never experienced such personal service. They asked us questions about our plans when we arrived and we told them about our plans to visit angkorwat the next day. After our private tour (not related to this hotel) we got back to the hotel hot and exhausted but as soon as we got off the car one of the staff came to us with cold beverages and cold towels. I remembered I had told them a very approximate time we might come back but it seemed like all the staff in the lobby knew where we went and were expecting us when we got back as they kindly asked how we liked angkorwat and welcomed us back. The manager was so charming, he came to talk to us every time we ate at the restaurant and when we were leaving. I have recommended this hotel to many of my friends!!

Amazing staff and atmosphere”
The staff and atmosphere of this hotel are amazing. Really quiet and peaceful surroundings anything you would expect of a five star hotel. However, some facilities require some improvement. For example, the wooden floor surrounding the pool area gets really hot. Also, there are not enough sunbeds around the pool. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, but the large attention that has been payed on the esthetics has resulted in some practical limitations. There is not enough closet space in the rooms. Also, there are no plugs in the bathroom and there is no room to put your toiletries. If the necessairy adjustments will be made we will be happy to visit this hotel again.
Dear Walter , Warm greetings from ANANTARA Angkor Resort, Foremost many thanks for posting this wonderful review on Agoda and for allowing fellow travelers to read about your journey to Siem Reap. It has been a true delight to host you at the property and to understand that you have truly enjoyed our services and facilities. Meanwhile I would like to thank you again for your loyalty towards our brand and look forward to personally welcoming you at ANANTARA Angkor Resort during your next stay in Cambodia. Warmest regards, Anthony
Outstanding service & beautiful boutique hotel ”
We love boutique hotels for the quiet surroundings and personalized touches. This hotel met and exceeded both of these criteria. The surroundings offer a tranquil retreat to return to after touring the temples and city. The pool area is the epitome of relaxation and the fact it is a salt water pool is also a bonus (only drawback was poolside fun = noise which travels into other guests' rooms). For us however, the highlight was the staff!!! They truly have an amazing team who catered to our family ever so attentively. They offered their assistance to organize/plan excursions, accommodated to our needs and offer great personal stories that enlightened our trip. Most worthy of compliment was the F&B manager of Sothea (sorry I forget his name), who was a gem - a gracious host and extremely warm hearted. Also, Chris from the front desk was very kind and helped us on a number of occasions. We thank you all for a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend your property to our family and friends.
Great hotel for the sights”
Hotel is quiet and I would say more for couples than for families with kids - only because apart from the pool there isn't much for the kids to do here... But that was enough for us as they got quite tired seeing the temples. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable and clean. I would come back here again. We stayed 4 nights to make the trip manageable for the kids but if you have older kids you could do it all in 3.
Holiday Stay at Anantara Angkor”
A lovely boutique hotel - just under 50 rooms. The staff are a great team of people who have an exceptional customer service focus. The rooms are large with a modern Asian luxurious feel - high ceilings add to the feeling of space. From the moment you walk in you are charmed by the place and pampered by the staff. As it is a small hotel it is a peaceful oasis in a busy City.
Top Notch Service and Great Property”
My wife and I had an incredible stay at the Resort. The service was one of the best we have experienced. The really do what ever it takes to make you happy. The room was clean and spacious and we had a great veiw of the pool area. We would definetly go back.
More than just a stay”
If you want to feel how the royals holidaying, Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa is the place you should pick. The most friendliest and the most wonderful staffs. The smell of fresh bread that they bake every day. The room is luxurious. Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa is a must stay in Siem Reap.
Beautiful hotel with exceptionally helpful staff”
Positives: 1. Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff, even during Khmer New Year I managed to get help washing my car which was filthy from the drive from Phnom Penh, staff went out of their way to help given that all car washes in town were shut. That's one example, flexibility on food orders, helping with our 6 month old whilst we had breakfast, no end to the staff going the extra mile. 2. The swimming pool is beautiful, fairly well shaded from the Cambodian sun which can be brutal, pool-side service and just a decent (salt) pool that made it easy to swim, but also to sit in the pool whilst talking to family & friends sitting next to the pool. 3. Location is central to everything; parking a little limited, but as Siem Reap is mainly a tourist area it wasn't a problem for us to park. Negatives: 1. The room was beautiful, but a bit 'busy' - we had the deluxe room and whilst I can't say it was bad, it just seemed a strange design - bath, toilet, shower and hand basin all split out into little corners. 2. Sockets/Plugs - my gripe with nearly very hotel; not enough sockets to plug your own things in, and wires on things provided (kettle) don't actually reach the sockets. An adapter was provided though, which was useful. Really clutching at straws on the negatives though, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone in a heart beat - it's stunning visually and the staff really make it a place you'd want to go back to. A a resident of Cambodia, we'll be back for certain.
