Bites!
The location of the hotel is fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. We were very disappointed in the dinner that we had on our first night so did not go back and at breakfast we were VERY disappointed with the watered down juice. We asked for better juice and full strength juice appeared to be brought from downstairs. On our last day my husband lay on the daybed to the left of our front door, room 230, and read/slept for about an hour. As a result he has been severely bitten from the ankle to half way up to the knee on the leg that was actually lying on the cushion!!! Two days later his leg is very swollen up to the knee, stiff and sore. We are now at the airport for our flight back to Australia just hoping that he will be ok and it doesn't swell anymore. We have been given cream and pills which we hope will make him comfortable enough on the long flight and until he can get to the Doctor. As you can well understand we are very unhappy with the cleanliness of our room. This is not at all due to the kind girls who made up our room each day but to the general maintenance of the hotel.

Great location with an easy walk into town. Building noise from next door was annoying but not enough to detract from a great holiday.

Anantara beds are the best!
The hotel was a great stay. The beds were the best but the pillows were too flat for my liking. Staff were friendly. Generally, it was a great stay with minor details that could be improved. Such as when I asked for the evening room housekeeping to be done (after I had told them I didn't want it at first, but changed my mind later when I left my room), it wasn't. Or that the shower gel is hard to dispense which was a complaint of my elderly parents. The swimming pool was disappointing for me as the water was lukewarm but it's still nice to be in it especially since it's quite shallow. The design isn't the best as the tiles were rough so my nail polish was affected from kneeling in the water. There is only one entrance into the pool and the circumference of it is covered with this sharp, rough edge that hurts when you sit on it as you try to enter/exit the pool. Terrible design. Food was good. Generally an expensive hotel.

Peaceful Heritage Anantara
Positive vibrations,European culture, Vietnamnese heritage made our stay memorable. Life is a montage of memories. The Vietnamese are very hardworking, hospitable & honest people. The services & standards at the Anantara are highly commendable. Christopher, Executive AM and the GM are providing professionalism much to the delight of travellers. Staff are friendly and Ms Kieu deserved commendation, she serves at the Riverside Restaurant. Thank you

Just an ok stay as usual
Everytime I visit Hoi An, I stay at this hotel. Of many hotels which are closest to Pho Co, this hotel is the best; nice room, ok food, nice bar. But if you traveling with young children, better watch out because there is small stair inside the room. It will be better if the breakfast buffet has more choices; for now the selection is very boring - same menu everyday! And the staff usually forget to clean the balcony.

Great Location, Great Setting
The location is perfect. 15 minutes walk to the old city, which means that you can get to the cafes and restaurants without haggling with taxi louts. The hotel also has such a relaxed vibe, its quiet and people seem really relaxed, perhaps because there were hardly any children around! sitting by the river having afternoon tea, or a sundowner was perfect!! The rooms are a little small, but cozy. Beds (we had a twin bedded room) were a single, so its rather small . Bathroom was large, and well lit. Food was above average. I had rather high expectations for bread and pastry but was really quite disappointed. Breakfast was good for fresh squeezed juices and Vietnamese coffee. Spa (we got offered a half priced discount, so couldn't refuse!) was very average, which is consistent with my experience in the rest of Vietnam. But the location and setting wins the prize!

great 7 night stay
Really enjoyed our stay here, the staff are fantastic. Breakfast is excellent and it's not in the middle of the main drag but close enough to walk in.
