Good hotel in the best location”
I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who will travel to Hoi An. We spent 3 nights there and they served with really outstanding service. Sometimes when you go out in the afternoon, they already made up my room in the morning but they will come to touch up and left us messages that's really sweet. Location is good, closed to night market and massage shop.
Dear Tang, Thank you so much for choosing Anantara Hoi An for your holiday and we are pleased that your recent experience with us was wonderful. It is heartening to hear that the little attention to detail meant that your stay was enhanced. We are very much appreciative of your recommendation. We look forward to your return. With our best wishes, Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
Perfect solace ”
Near the old town, and has everything you need. Great food. Chilled pool. Not too busy even in peak season. Rooms are comfy and spacious, like little suits. Nice seating outside for nightcaps and reading away from the pool if you want some quiet time. Been twice!
Dear Toby, It was a pleasure to welcome you back. We are pleased that your stay was once again a memorable one. Looking forward to welcoming you back, we hope soon. Best wishes Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
FANTASTIC - loved this hotel”
We upgraded the room to a suite type of which I believe there are only two. Read other reviews which said don't face the river as noisy - totally disagree. Not noisy and gives some scenery and interest. Nice pool, although the bbq there was very dry. Great breakfast. a really nice relaxed colonial feel and easy access to the city. Loved it
Compact yet comfy resort near the herritage”
Just like the resort, the suite we stayed was compact yet very comfy. This was made up for by the nice housekeeping staff which came very often. Every time we went back to the room, it had been tidied up and replenished with new bottles of water, flowers, caring messages handwritten on fresh leaves,...many many to make our stay a nice one. Breakfast was okay and as expected. We also tried afternoon tea and dinner at the Riverside Cafe. Not bad. We were offered discount for a 90-min treatment at the spa. Masseuses were very skilful but the center was just as compact as the resort and decor was so so.
Good location for a wander into the old town”
Had a great stay at the hotel with a big sizeable room overlooking the garden and the impressive pool. If you're after a good quality hotel with loads of space and still within wandering distance of all the Hoian action then this is it. All the other hotels seem to be either tiny or miles away.
This hotel is very comfortable and provides lovely rooms on the edge of the river. The staff are very polite and attentive and provide a very warm experience. Breakfast buffet is excellent and well presented. Rooms are excellent and showers are good, with large sized bathroom. Well recommended.
we had a nice stay at anantara resort”
we had a nice stay at anantara but for the price we paid the service is adequate but not superb compared to the other resort type we went to.the one who cooks at crepe station do not know how to cook crepes because the crepe is burned and did not even replaced it.
Perfect location beautiful room and facility”
We love the fact that we were able to walk to town. We enjoyed the city and the ability to walk to dinner or shopping. The hotel could not have been better. Whenever expectations are met or exceeded then value question is answered in the affirmative.
This is a very nice hotel — big resort with gardens, quiet open air breakfast restaurant (i.e. not overrun by noisy tourists) on second floor with nice view and only a few minutes walk from the old city. The shortest way to the old city even takes you through a fresh food market. All in all I much enjoyed this hotel, unlike the previous one I stayed at (also in Hoi An).
Great location - close to town, but a resort oasis”
very enjoyable stay - so close to town (dont stay in town to nisy and to hard to get to), but a short walk from this place gets you there. inside the hotel - its a top class oasis. recommend to all - great value for money
Was a lovely stay at Anantara and very convenient with young kids (4-year-old and 11-month-old).”
Beautiful property along the Thu Bon River and a short walking distance from the ancient city. Each time we went out of the room, looked like one of the housekeeping staff came into clean and settle the room. Great service. Polite and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast and excellent food overall. Wish we could have spent another five nights.
Dear Sanat, We are pleased that your recent experience with us was a relaxing one. It is wonderful to hear that the little attention to detail meant that your stay was enhanced. We look forward to your return. With best wishes, Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
Comfy stay in a very convenient location in historic Hoi An. ”
This hotel is very conveniently located in the historical town of Hoi An. Most of the attractions are within walking distance. The room is big and comfortable in colonial style setting. Breakfast is good and the service is excellent. We stayed during the turn of the year but the gala dinner was just OK. Only few draw backs are 1) the blinder at the entrance door which swings back and forth every time we open the door 2) the water pressure pouring out of the big rain shower is not high enough 3) there was a leaking at our breakfast table at the right end section beyond the buffet line. Fortunately, it was the rain drainage not the sewage, I guess.
Dear Tasnawat, We are pleased that you overall enjoyed your experience in particular the setting and the breakfast. Thank you for the feedback on the rooms, we are doing a refurbishment of the rooms that will be addressing your suggestions, thank you once more. We appreciate once that you enjoyed the service and we look forward to welcoming you back. With our best wishes Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
Excellent location, lovely resort and friendly staff.”
Excellent location for walking to Old Town, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. The area is developing ,which is good for the economy but it means there is a mild disturbance from next door during the day. Apart from a swim , we were out all day but if you are planning on spending days poolside then you may not like the building works. It will be over in a few months (visited early September)
Dear Fiona, We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your time with us exploring the Ancient Town. Looking forward to welcoming you back again soon. With best wishes Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
Charming historical hotel, excellent service”
Booked 2 rooms here for the family - there was some renovation going-on while we were here though it wasn't disruptive. The staff are incredibly hospitable and make the effort to get to know every guest. The location is perfect for those who prefer to walk and not take taxis as the ancient town is just about under a kilometre away on foot, and along the river. The facilities are good but the winning element is the service. The city's most famous Banh Mi stall is also within walking distance. Didn't see many families with young children here, it leans to the quiet side.
Dear Jasmine, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and giving us the feedbacks. We are pleased that your stay with us was a memorable one. All of us hope to be of service again. Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
My stay at Anantara Hoi An was like a dream”
Never before I have experienced such a wonderful hotel experience. The staff were extremely friendly, the place was basically like a heaven in the middle of the town, the food was delicious and very affordable. Everything was made so that we enjoy our vacation. I would recommend this place (and I have already!) to absolutely all my friends.
Dear Mathieu, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and giving us the feedbacks. We are pleased that your stay with us was a memorable one. All of us hope to be of service again. Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
A sumptuous retreat”
A beautiful place--both in location and facility. The rooms are beautiful designed and restful without being overdone. The staff is gracious and insightful. The breakfast was a daily treat. The restaurants and bars are overpriced for the market--more San Francisco prices--not a smart strategy for keeping guests on the property when there are so many wonderful restaurants and bars that reflect more regional pricing in the town.
Dear Thom, Thank you for choosing to stay with us and giving us the feedbacks. We are pleased that your stay with us was a memorable one. All of us hope to be of service again. Pieter van der Hoeven General Manager
Closed to main road and Hoi An old town. When I checked in the room floor was wet. Request to change to upper floor as the ground floor room was very humid. They arrange accordingly. But hotel facility can be more.
Anantara beds are the best!”
The hotel was a great stay. The beds were the best but the pillows were too flat for my liking. Staff were friendly. Generally, it was a great stay with minor details that could be improved. Such as when I asked for the evening room housekeeping to be done (after I had told them I didn't want it at first, but changed my mind later when I left my room), it wasn't. Or that the shower gel is hard to dispense which was a complaint of my elderly parents. The swimming pool was disappointing for me as the water was lukewarm but it's still nice to be in it especially since it's quite shallow. The design isn't the best as the tiles were rough so my nail polish was affected from kneeling in the water. There is only one entrance into the pool and the circumference of it is covered with this sharp, rough edge that hurts when you sit on it as you try to enter/exit the pool. Terrible design. Food was good. Generally an expensive hotel.
Peaceful Heritage Anantara”
Positive vibrations,European culture, Vietnamnese heritage made our stay memorable. Life is a montage of memories. The Vietnamese are very hardworking, hospitable & honest people. The services & standards at the Anantara are highly commendable. Christopher, Executive AM and the GM are providing professionalism much to the delight of travellers. Staff are friendly and Ms Kieu deserved commendation, she serves at the Riverside Restaurant. Thank you
Just an ok stay as usual”
Everytime I visit Hoi An, I stay at this hotel. Of many hotels which are closest to Pho Co, this hotel is the best; nice room, ok food, nice bar. But if you traveling with young children, better watch out because there is small stair inside the room. It will be better if the breakfast buffet has more choices; for now the selection is very boring - same menu everyday! And the staff usually forget to clean the balcony.
