A very nice welcome from our hosts and a great 1 night stay. We talked about places to eat and see around Picton and Janet told us about the stingrays that swim round in the harbour but we never saw them think it was to do with the weather, our room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was nice(I didn't like the corn fritters but my wife did) and we met other guests as well so we all discussed our travels which was good. Should of had at least 2 nights oh well the damage is done now.
Great 1 night stay. Ian and Janet couldn't have been more helpful. Ian told us about the stingrays that swim round in the harbour and we actually managed to see them.
Hi there Lynne. Thank you for your kind review. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay. Those Stingrays are quite something to watch. Safe travelling and hopefully we will see you again. kind regards, Ian and Janet
A Warm Welcome and Superlative Service”
From the warm welcome (and glass of local wine) to the departing lift to the car rental kiosk, there was nothing about our experience that was not top rate. Our room was comfortable, breakfast lovely and the Inn,depersonalize genuinely warm, friendly and helpful. We have been travelers for 50 years and this is one of the finest B&Bs we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. We really appreciate your wonderful review. Kind regards, Ian and Janet

Highly Recommended ”
Ian and Janet are superb hosts who look after their guests in a relaxed and very friendly way. The rooms are spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped. Breakfast is wonderful and different from the usual B&B. We have stayed at Anchor Down twice and will definitely stay again.
We stayed for four nights with Ian and Janet and they were just the best hosts . The room and ensuite were lovely , plenty of information if you wanted it, and happy hour was great .Thankyou Ian and Janet we had a lovely stay
Sensational place to stay”
Janet collected us from the ferry and showed us to our rooms which were lovely and super comfy. Home made cake and shortbread awaited us with tea/coffee making facilities. Lots of info given about where to go, activities and best places to eat in Picton which was handy. Invited up stairs for a glass of beautiful local wine before we headed off for tea. Everything is in walking distance and the views are so pretty. Quiet overnight and woke to a scrumptious breakfast, absolutely the best in our two week stay by far. Pity I only booked for one night but there is always next time.
Ian & Janet were excellent hosts. We would stay again. Thanks.
Janet and Ian were the most friendly and hospitable proprietors. Upon arrival on a late ferry, they offered us local wine and shared ideas for touring itinerary. This is a B&b I would recommend to anyone without hesitation. We loved it!

A relaxing and enjoyable place”
A most enjoyable stay … made ever so much a great memory because of our hosts. Breakfast with freshly made peach jam and freshly stewed peaches …. wow! Our hosts gave us lots of detailed and informed recommendations about nearby attractions. These attractions filled our time very well. Our room was very comfortable and well furnished … I couldn't find a sports channel on TV?
We were very impressed with the immaculate standard of accommodation, the lovely quiet location and excellent breakfasts. We had the pleasure of meeting Jill and Roger who were looking after the property whilst the owners' attended a wedding. They were outstanding hosts and made us feel completely at home. Many thanks to them.
