Lovely small quiet resort on Koh Lanta”
I stayed at the Anda Lanta Resort with a friend the last week of March. This is a lovely resort on a small but beautiful beach in southern Koh Lanta. We booked a "Family Villa" in order to have separate but adjoining rooms for sleeping, which suited us very well. The villa even had a view of the beach. The pool was nice and the breakfast buffet quite good. Other reviews mentioned that families had overrun the resort, especially the pool. This was not my experience, but I suppose it would depend on the time of year you were there. We were looking for a quiet relaxing resort (not a party resort), which we found at Anda Lanta. The restaurant staff were excellent, but the front desk staff, although friendly, had limited knowledge of things I wanted to know about (like the park to the south for example). And while I would recommend the breakfast buffet, I would suggest eating dinner next door at the "Last Beach Restaurant." They have a BBQ every night which cooks fresh fish to order. Delicious and reasonably priced! All in all, I would definitely recommend the Anda Lanta Resort to other travellers.
Getting there was bit long .. Took us around 1 hr and 45 minutes . So I highly recommend a private car from the Krabi airport. Anda lanta is located at the very sour of koh lanta .. We had the ocean front villa. It was big and the prefect view of the ocean. The entire staff is wonderful, friendly and made us feel like they have known us for years.. The food at the restaurant was good and had good amount of options. Reasonably priced. There are couple of local places on the beach. We just didn't want to go.. We rented scooters from the resort and explored the entire koh lanta. It was lit of fun. Just be careful as we saw lot of guest inured themselves from going on somewhat rough pavement along the way. There are couple of grocery stores near the hotel. We did purchased snacks If you want to relax and enjoy the sun/sand and water. This is the place for you. We almost didn't want to leave as we had wonderful 8 days.

The Anda Lanta Resort was the highlight of our trip to Thailand. First the location is ideal: at the south of Koh Lanta, where the best beaches are located, and where you don't see many tourists. The hotel in itself is really amazing, we stayed in a beach front villa, direct view on the sea, wave almost hititng our small terrace, about 10m from the sand of the beach. The room was super clear, spacious. The service was really amazing, very polite and helpful staff, at any hour of the day or the night. Free shuttle service upon arrival (not departure though), very cheap motorbike rental, etc. Food was very good, very well cooked. The beach restaurant from the other resort nearby is also nice. The swimming pool area was really great for families, the spot for massages in front of the ocean was also idyllic. I would definitely recommend going there, and would most likely go there again with my kids in the future!
Lovely secluded beach resort”
We loved our stay at Anda Lanta! They picked us up at the ferry (in a nice air/con suv) and once we arrived the staff welcomed us with cold drinks and towels. They were very helpful in answering all of our questions about the island. We rented a motorbike through the resort and explored the island. We stayed in a superior room with was nicely decorated in thai style...they only thing I missed was a refrigerator to keep our drinks cold. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming...there are only a couple other small bungalow hotels on the beach so it was very quiet and private feeling. The pool was also great to cool off in. Snorkeling gear and kayaks were provided free. We kayaked around the southern tip of the island and found some amazing beaches, bays and views of surrounding islands!! A tasty, large breakfast served in their beachfront restaurant was included with our room. If you are looking for a beautiful beach resort outside of the busier beaches of Ko Lanta this is the place!!
Anda Lanta is perfect for a chill out vacation. The grounds are well kept, the staff is friendly and very attentive, there is just enough in the small compound to keep you happy. It is not a "built up" resort so that adds to it's charm and is located in a remote part of Koh Lanta, so if you are looking for a chill out slow moving and peaceful resort, this one is the place. I was very comfortable and content my entire stay. I moved up towards the top part of Koh Lanta and regretted not stay at Anda Lanta longer. Great value for your buck and the massaged wit Lat were amazing!
Well run hotel, friendly staff on a quiet secluded beacv”
After much research on Thailand my husband and I settled for the southern beaches as we were looking for more relaxation and we were not disappointed. Our stay at Anda Lanta was very quiet and a pleasant experience. The staff was always friendly and happy to help. I think we were the only ones who used the bar and they knew our drink by the third day. The beach was very nice and long. From what I heard from talking to other locals the northern beaches don't offer quite the space and swimming. The hotel was well maintained and clean. We stayed in the beach front room which was just what we were looming for with nice views of the ocean from the big windows. We don't have kids and the resort does cater to families with their family rooms so that was a bit of a negative to us. The kids stayed at the pool most of the time when we were there and we relaxed on the beach. The restaurant was always solid and not overly priced. I would recommend Anda Lanta for a quiet getaway to Thailand.
way more than we expected.”
We had a very relaxing stay at Anda Lanta. The superior sea view room was fabulous, looking over the bay. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The grounds were maintained well and the room was meticulously clean. The food and drinks were great. A more luxurious resort compared to similarly priced places at the southern end of Koh Lanta. Most definitely would recommend to both families and couples.
Perfect getaway for those seeking peace of mind”
Our group of four stayed for a week at the Anda Lanta Resort late october. The hotel location is perfect if you look for beautiful and peaceful place to stay. We had rooms upstairs near the beach which had beautiful view to the sea. View from downstair rooms was blocked by vegetation so I recommend to take room from upstairs. PROS: Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.. Cheap scooter rent was available (250 THB for 12 hrs). The local center was only couple of kilometers to the north from the hotel. There was several nice restaurants, bars, a market and ScubaFIsh Dive Centre to book diving and snorkeling trips (very professional service). Also absolutely go check the nearby Take It Easy bar next to the hotel by the beach. It'd nice staff, good food and drinks for ok price, good music and excellent service! CONS: There was some rubbish and broken glass at the hotel beach. Nobody from the staff seemed to be interested collecting them so watch your feet! Aircon was a bit loudy and we had to use low fan speed at night time to get sleep. Breakfast was the same every morning, but tasted good. We can warmly recommend Anda Lanta Resort for those seeking peace of mind and stress free life! -- Jari, Heidi, Ari & Teija

Brilliant start to our honeymoon”
Koh Lanta seems to get better the further south you go. It gets quieter, prettier, but also a bit more expensive. We booked 5 nights in a beachfront bungalow at Anda Lanta and we liked it so much we decided to extend by another 5 nights. We had a few problems travelling from Krabi to Koh Lanta. After paying for the journey at the airport, the minivan driver told us 2 hours into the journey that he would not be able to take us all the way to the resort. We managed to get in touch with Anda Lanta and they came to collect us from another resort further up the road. Despite the headache the journey was well worth it. (In hindsight, it might have been worth arranging the transfer through Anda Lanta). Our room was huge and very well designed and built. The grounds were very well maintained. The staff took very good care of us. The food at the hotel was very good, although it is still worth exploring the other options along the beach. We also especially enjoyed eating at Noon restaurant (excellent food at very reasonable prices with a beautiful sunset view... and they will pick you and drop you home for free).
Had an amazing stay - would love to go back!”
We spent five nights at Anda Lanta and had an amazing time. Tucked away on gorgeous Last Beach at the south end of Ko Lanta, it felt quiet and removed without being too isolated from the attractions of the rest of the island. There are a few bars and restaurants along the beach that we enjoyed, although the resort restaurant was also nice. The concierge made it very easy to book a snorkeling day trip, which we loved, and the boat picked us up right on the beach in front of the resort. We also took advantage of complimentary snorkels and kayaks available to borrow, and rented a motor scooter for an afternoon to visit Old Town. Our room was elegant and comfortable, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn’t notice in booking is that breakfast wasn’t included in our reservation, so we ended up paying extra (350 baht) most mornings to eat at the hotels breakfast buffet, which was really nice, but a bit steep.

Beautiful quiet location, perfect for relaxation”
We had a wonderful stay at the Anda Lanta resort as we were looking for a comfortable, friendly hotel to relax in. The resort is located right on a beautiful sandy beach and it is a perfect place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and have the feeling of being 'close to nature'. There is a restaurant that overlooks the sea which serves reasonably priced and excellent food. The onsite bar closes at 11pm (or before if there is no-one drinking), but there is a small local bar/ shack at the other end of the beach. The most we did during the 4 day stay was kayaking to nearby beaches (the hotel kayaks were free to take)and enjoying massages in the hotel spa on the beach. Highly recommended and would go back there!
Amazing resort in a tranquil setting”
I absolutely loved this resort. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and not badly priced for a resort and we were there during Songkran (new year) so we played tug-o-war and made sandcastles (pagodas) with the staff. They were very open to the hotel guests celebrating with them. Kayaks are free of hire and it's about 250 baht per day to hire motorcycles which is the best way to explore the island. The beach was lovely and quiet - Koh Lanta is a great place to chill out. Our air conditioning was a little noisy, but other than that I can fully recommend this resort. It's suited to couples and families. It is also close to the Koh Lanta National Park which is worth seeing.
Great Hotel for families and couples”
The Resort: Set out in the natural surroundings of the rain forest, this place is literally wild! if your squimish about creepy crawleys then be advised, your gonna freak out at night here! if its not the frogs or hermit crabs or spiders or lizards that you regularly stumble across, then you may be lucky enough to have you path blocked in the dead of night by the local snakes (not that common, but we came across 3 over two weeks, with one easily measuring 1.5 meters long!) The pool is for families, the beach is for couples, nough said! The restaurant is run fantastically by an army of waiting staff and cooks, I have never seen so many staff on hand in my life for the amount of people staying there. The menu and food at the restaurant is prepared beatifully, and although slightly overpriced in comparison to the other two beach bars in our bay, the quality of the food would win hands down every time! (whilst we are talking about the other bars, try out the one next to Anda lanta (jellyfish lights - you'll see) at your own peril!! Sat there at 7pm, served first drink at 7.25pm, served main course at 8,45pm (yes main course as they forgot our starters!) never ever got the second drink we ordered at 8.00pm) food deserves no stars as cold and tasteless, and the only time I had a bad stomach the whole time we were there simple sorry from the owner as he presented me with the bill (including trying to charge us for all the stuff they forgot to serve us!!) you wouldn't believe service could be that poor and this appeared to be replicated at every table they had there!) The far restaurant on the beach however, offered really good value and a nice alternative to the resort restaurant. Trips: We went to Phi Phi Island which was beautiful and well worth seeing, slightly spoiled by the SpeedTubs!! I mean speedboat you go in!! 28 people stuck in a tub, unable to see outside for 45 minutes whilst hurtling across the sea to each island you visit! not a nice experience
This was a piece of paradise in Koh Lanta. Excellent location just beside a stunning beach with a nice touch of nature. This is a perfect place for a romantic retreat. The staffs were responsive and helpful. Breakfast was good but could be improved by allowing more options for halal foods. With all those positives, this hotel had some negatives as well. These are Cons: 1. This hotel does not have any intercom, so communication is very difficult if your room is far away from the reception. They should introduce intercom asap. 2. The room had a bad smell which probably came from the old noisy air condition. 3. No Dtac mobile network there, which is not really a cons for the hotel but a warning for future travellers to Lanta. Do have your AIS or True SIM ready for Koh Lanta. Overall, this is a superb hotel with a stunning location which has some room for improvements.
Dear Sadique: Thank you very much for sharing your valuable feedback resulting from your recent stay at our Anda Lanta Resort. We very much appreciate your taking time off to provide us with this useful information for the betterment of our facilities and services. With regards to not having intercom in the room, it is our intention to encourage guests to enjoy the short walk to the reception counter or restaurant along the path surrounded by greenery plants and flower beds to inhale the fresh air atmosphere. As for the bad smell from the old noisy air condition, our management is considering installation of new air-conditioners in our resort. In view of our resort’s very remote location, phone signals and internet receptions are sometimes weak. Using AIS or True SIM are the best option in our area as you mentioned. It is very much hopeful that we will have an opportunity to welcoming you back to our resort for your future holidays. Have a nice day, Warm Regards, Anda Lanta Team
Quiet peaceful away from it all...”
Had a fantastic week here - really peaceful resort with friendly staff and lovely rooms. - Pool was great and lovely surroundings. It was the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. It is well away from the busy north end of the island but that is easily accessible by taxi or hire car if you want to expolre - and some of the other beaches nearby have other more lively restaurants/beach bars etc. The food was OK - some things very good (benchmark Green Curry was excellent!) - others not bad.. - and the other beach bars along from Anda Lanta had OK food too and also a bit more atmosphere in the evenings - So one slight criticism is that they really could do with their own beach bar that is a bit more rustic and atmospheric - though as I said yiou got this from the other places along the beach. One other crrit was the beach dogs that were a bit territorial and scared some of the children - staff could have shoo'd them away more effectively in the evenings. My final criticism is that the sea was not as crystal clear and clean as I had had in other parts of Thailand in the past - the river was a bit scummy and at some tides this made the sea the same way - I may have been spoilt in years gone by with isolated undeveloped island resorts but I did think this was a downside here. So I have been pretty harsh here highlighting one or two not-so-good aspects of the place, however it really was a fantastic resort overall and we had a really wonderful week.
Lovely resort on a quiet beach”
We had a lovely stay at the Anda Lanta Resort. We chose to stay in the south, and were quite happy with that choice. We were there over Christmas and New Years and the beach was never crowded. The resort is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and in good condition. We had a balcony that was quite private. The resort is situated off the road, so no traffic noise. The food is average and expensive, but there are two restaurants/bars next door. The resort is isolated, the nearest village is a 10 minute scooter ride away, so if you want to be amongst the action, this is not the place for you.
A little piece of paradise ”
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon for 3 night (not long enough) we stayed in a garden cottage complete with traditional Bamboo weave, air con, wet room with spider shower head, TV and complimentary water and a really comfy bed. We arrived in a monsoon but the staff were on hand with umbrellas and torches to show you to your room complete with a trolly also covered with a good brolly! We loved the feel of the place, very friendly and helpful staff and the food was to die for. As the 'resort was out of the town, we expected high prices but we were surprised at the reasonable prices and excellent standard. The resort is right on the beach and they supply free snorkel and kyak and there is free wifi and internet access. The pool is perfect and clean, suitable for childeren. We made use of the Kyak and took one out for sunset which was probable the most perfect evening ever. Later on that night we took a stroll down the beach and watched the crabs and There is also a fantastic spa and massage facility available, we had a full thai general massage and i fell asleep. It is a fair drive out of the main town (about 10K) but the resort have this covered with Mopeds out for hire for 250Baht for the day. this was great value for money and provided for a great day out as Koh lanta has some amazing beaches and restaurants. We had chance to explore. The staff are the friendliest we encountered and went that extra mile during the rain to ensure that their guests were comfortable and dry. the drinks and food prices were reasonable but not the cheapest we had seen. the food was great and well worth it. I could go on about this place for ever and still find nothing bad to say about it.
Excelent resort to relax ”
Anda Lanta Resort is place where we stayed 12 nights and loved it. Reasons: Friendly staff, Clean pool and pool side and rest of the resort area. (There were staff cleaning the area every morning swiping leafs away and other garbage). We had family villa which was spacious (including two bathrooms). Snorkling tour picked us from beach in front of resort which was nice and dropped after tour to beach. Beach in front of hotel was quiet and beautiful couple of beach bar/restaurant at the beach but cheapest food was by the road couple of hundred meters towards south to national park. Resort rents motorbike for 50 bath/hour or 250 Bath for day. Loved our stay here and would recommend to everyone who wants to relax.
Dear Mr. Sami: Thank you very much for taking time off to share your valuable feedback resulting from your recent kind patronage at our resort. We very much appreciate you providing us with these useful comments for the betterment of our facilities and services, ie. renovation of the shower cubicle. Relaxing on the beach!”
We stayed at Anda Lanta the last few days of our vacation and it was a perfect end to our trip. It is located beachfront on a remote bay about a 30 minute drive on a bumpy road from the Saladan Pier. The hotel offered free pick up in a very nice 4 Runner(but we had to ask about it, it is not automatic). Just be aware that it is quite remote, no shops, etc. Some reviews indicated the restaurant was lacking, but we found it to be excellent in all aspects. We would absolutely recommend the Anda Lanta for a relaxing stay.
We spent a week of our honeymoon here. It was the perfect balance of chill beach vibes and quality rooms/food. The beach and bay is one of the best on the island, if not the best. It's incredibly picturesque. As with all koh lanta beaches there are some rocks, but this is one of the least rocky on the island and you can swim easily from this beautiful, beautiful beach. The restaurant food was maybe 50% or 25% more expensive than elsewhere on the beach or in the nearby town of Kantiang, but it was of a very high quality, so it wasn't unreasonably priced. The beauty of this spot is you can wonder 2 mins down the beach to the other beach bars for a change of scene. Or you can rent a scooter for 50 baht an hour from the hotel and drive to Kantiang town 5-7 mins away. We had an incredible time and would highly recommend the resort for its location and services. The room was pretty great too, we had the beach villa which had a view direct on to the beach. The bed was huge + v comfy
