We really enjoyed our stay.”
We booked one night and we got room with lovely balcony. We loved it so much. It was surrounded by nature such as trees and mountains. It was rainy season while we stayed, everywhere look green and fresh air. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had great breakfast and fantastic dinner. I think it's good to stay for 2 night but you might feel bore if more than that.
A great getaway spot”
This resort consists of connected cabins. You are very close to your neighbors so noise is sometimes an issue. But the rooms can connect if you are traveling with a group. For breakfast they have "American" and "Asian" options. The American option was the typical egg and hotdog. The asian option was rice porridge. Juice and fresh jam are also available. The rooms were nice and the shower was hot with good pressure. The wifi requires a browser log in each time, which was a pain, but we were thankful to have it so far up the mountain. We enjoyed walking around the nearby Royal Project and on the trails in the mountains above. The cool, clean, air up there was a welcome respite.
Good location with clean and big room”
The hotel is next to the Royal Project and you can get in there by walk. The room is big and clean with panoramic view if you request to stay on the hill. However, you have to climb to your room. Thus, the group with children or older people, I recommend on the ground zone.
A nice place to stay in but limited indoor facilities”
The room is clean and tidy. There is a warmer on the bed and heater in the bath room that will keep you warm during the cold night. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The bell boy will drive you to your room with a Songthaew which will be very helpful if your baggage/luggage is heavy. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant has a good spread of meals. You should try their home made jam which is not too sweet. However, I feel that some of the building has too much stairs to climbs which will be inconvenient for those who has difficulty in travelling. There is also lack of indoor activities in the Resort thus there is little things that could be done indoor during adverse weather condition.
The area is very nice. Mountainous nature landscapes everywhere. bit specially at the off-season it was very quiet. The hotel is okay, clean and nice but you can see that it was built long time ago. The room is spacious and comfortable, the internet is not slow but not that fast either. Because of the location I recommend it.
great place to stay compare with others near by, nice garden and comfortable . food is a bit pricy and less options to choose however that is allowed as hotel itself settles in the middle of the mountains .. if you looking for peace and calm it would be a real treat.
nice hotel in quiet natural area”
The stay was nice. This is out in the country: do not expect shopping or night clubs. Think this is by far the best hotel in the area. The standard is fine, nothing special but when you are going for a trip to the mountains, then you don't expect anything too flashy. Get's cold in the evening, bring enough clothes with you.
Best location in Angkhang ”
Electric blankets are available for guests in the room, staff are super friendly. Nice hotel setting and nice view from the room. Good variety of breakfast choices. Best location and very reason room rate.
We stayed for 3 nights, might have been one night too much as there's not much to do around the area. The road to the hotels is not for the faint hearted. There's no AC and you don't need it-it's cool at night. I had to actually close the window at 4AM. Down the mountain the heat was at record highs but up here was cool.
the hotel is very nice. it is very close to the sea. The best thing about this hotel is the swimming pool. It is very long and it is very clean as well. The morning buffet is terrific. There are many choice of food to choose from. The workers are very nice. They provide fantastic service. The room is also very clean. It is newly renovated. The hotel is close to the restaurant in the city too. It is a great place to stay for family.
Great location, nice veiw”
Good food, good veiw and located at the good location, you can easily walked to town which is very closed , also can walk to see the flower in Royal Project. Hotel had the electric blanket can make you warm at night time which is very cold. Food and vegetable is very fresh as came from the land of smile
Nice view with lots of flowers in the garden!”
As mentioned above, it is located in a good location and very convenient to visit the local market. However, one disadvantage is that there is no heating system in the room except the electric blacket. It was like I slept in the fridge under 4 degrees! All in all, I would recommend this hotel for those cold lovers but be good prepared for protection.
Great location and comfort room”
The hotel is very good when compare with other hotel at Ang khang. The service is good. Breakfast and dinner is good and not expensive. The hotel opened for many years but everything in the room is in a good condition. Facilities in the room are good. You don't need an air conditioned here, it is very cold at night.
Lovely and nice services”
Starting from the first step, there was a warm welcome on the cooling day of weather in Doi Ang Khang where the buggy driver and the concierge staffs are very helpful to provide the closed assistance to the elderly. There are many zone of accommodation and every zone is easy to access. If you have kids or old folk travelling with you, you can just press "0" and asking for inner transport from your room to the lobby. Breakfast was very fantastic where all fresh vegetable and fruit are being sent directly from the royal project next door. However, it was lack of staff to provide great service of setting dinning table for us as it was the Christmas time.
Lovely resort with friendly service”
The room is big and facility is reasonable considering the remote location of the resort. Very beautiful natural garden setup located next to the Royal Agricutural Station Angkhang. The best time to stay is from December to February. Temperature could be as low as close to zero degree in the early morning.
Good loaction in Doi Angkhang”
The resort is situated next to the gate of DOI Angkhang. The room quit simple but work well. Nonaircon but heater blanket are available with a comfortable bed set. Enjoy to rest in the room. However, food not much choice and not test like what we expected. We have to walk and get a good food available in the market in front of the gate of King project. Except that things are OK for a short moment.
We would love to stay longer.”
We booked a room for 1 night for 3 adults for our family and got a nice spacious and clean room with 2 twin beds and an extra bed next to one of the twin beds. The beds have an electric blanket each. Breakfast was good. There was a large selection of food, both Asian and Western. The resort is next to (within walking distance)to the Royal Agricultural Station and Baan Khum village. We arrived in the late afternoon and would have prefered to stay at least two nights to explore the nature trails and tour the Royal Agricultural station properly.
Doi Angkhang Nature Resort”
The staff at the hotel are welcoming and the service is excellent. The breakfast is very good and food in the restaurant is also reasonable and good. The hotel rooms are very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the gardens. The resort is set within he royal project which has good walks and a restaurant also. The hotel will hire binoculars to those who wish to have them. Nearby the resort are different hill tribe villages which are worth visiting. The mountainside around is spectacular and you won't regret visiting this lovely area of Thailand.
Doi Angkhang Nature Resort”
Doi Angkhang is an area of unspoilt beauty and has a lot of interesting different hilltribe people living around near the hotel. There is a small group of shops and restaurants near the hotel if you fancy a quick bowl of noodles. The trek to the mountain is excellent and an easy to follow trail. The hotel is well worth staying in and if you want to escape the heat of Chiang Mai or elsewhere it is the place to go.
Very overpriced at nz$130 per night for a dark cold room a fair walk from both restaurant and car park. Food at breakfast very basic and cold, cold plates, cold very strong coffee. Problem is no competition around. Cheap food in Ankhang village 5 minutes walk away. Agricultural Centre very big and interesting 50 baht per person and 50 baht for car. 1290 road closed for 9 months for repairs so long way round if going to Fang or Chiang Rai. Other road to Chan Prakhan is an alternative.
