Sparkling Clean Villa”

Great Location, Clean and Comfortable Rooms, Relaxing Atmosphere

Our stay at this sparkling clean new villa was great. Mr. Sokmeng Thong. the owner, personally oversees the operations with his vast experience in the tourism and hotel industry. He gives advises and recommendations for the tours and tickets which you can book thru him at reasonable prices. (Temple tours, Phare Circus tickets, bus tickets & etc.) Great value for money with free breakfast & free airport/bus pick up provided. Complimentary tea, coffee and 2 bottled water replenished daily in the room. We were allowed for a late check out for free while waiting for our late night flight. Highly recommended this new boutique villa for travelers seeking a peaceful, quiet and relaxing vacation in Siem Reap.

Great hotel for the money”

Angkor Honey Villa is in a great location right by Pub Street in SR. If you're looking for a solid, inexpensive room in a good part of town, look no further. Very friendly staff as well.

good town location ”

staff, location

We were originally staying in another hotel in Siem Reap and wanted to stay another night but as that hotel was fully booked we relocated here. This hotel is good if you want to be in the middle of town but compared to the standard we had for a comparable price just a 10 minute walk away it was over priced. However the owner and the staff here are very nice and helpful.

Not sure about the rating?”

Location, Cleanliness Staff

We only stayed the two nights and I am confused as to the high rating for this establishment. The staff performed on cue and were as attentive as all the other hotels in town and were efficient. The breakfast was very basic and simple with little imagination given the menu and was somewhat disappointing. The lighting in the rooms left a lot to be desired and the only conclusion we could come to is others that have reviewed this property must have stayed somewhere else. There are many new choices in Siem Reap as I write this and for very little more money one have a true 9 or higher experience and appreciate what this involves.

Location, tour arrangement & Nice staff

Location in near to Pubs street, Night Market, Central market & Art market center. Staff is good & polite but a bit difficult to communicate due to poor ENG. The owner ENG is good, he introduce local tour guide + ground arrangement to us with market fare price. Thanks to the Owner Mr.SokMeng, he introduce a budget, value for money ground tour for us. The owner is very nice, reply email to us for every of our question before we step into the country. Hotel breakfast is basic, can be improve by adding more choice. ...

Staffs are friendly & location is very good.”

Staffs are friendly and attentive. Very good location, about 5 minutes walk from pub street & night market. Value for money.

Pleasant for a 2 star. If you do not wish to stay in a hostel and share the sleeping area with strangers, this hotel is definitely is value for money. You get your own room with decent amendities such as TV, toiletries, cupboard etc.. Staffs are friendly, however expect very little English speaking from them. Breakfast can be improved though. But I suggest eating out cus the food at Cambodia is awesome!

Lovely place, lovely staff, only bit of a flaw is that night time staff speaks poor English, but will fetch someone to help. Otherwise great place for the price, great location, just around the corner from the pub street, yet quiet.

Great location. Walking distance to main tourist hub. Room very clean. Did not eat here so can't comment. Staff very friendly. 7 11 being built next door which will be handy. Staff not helpful.”

They didn't speak English, but tried.

I needed help with a tuk tuk driver who was hostile and I asked the front desk to call either the police or the owner of Ankor Honey Villa. The worker told me he couldn't call either. The front desk worker just stood there and meanwhile the tuk tuk driver was threatening to take our luggage and was grabbing it from my 12 year old daughters hands. I didn't feel safe. I really needed help with this situation and the worker was completely unwilling. It was the only situation like this I have ever encountered and I have traveled on over 20 different countries. I was super bummed.

Cheap, but you can find better value”

I stayed 2 nights in the deluxe room for $14 a night. I got a room on the bottom floor, next to reception. It was a bit dark, basic and had a fluorescent light. Comforter had no cover. I was getting bitten by mosquitoes, but couldn't really see them in the lighting. Upstairs rooms might be better. Takeaway breakfast was not bad, an omelette and some bread and butter. Staff were nice. I'd rather spend a few more dollars and get a bright and nicer room somewhere else.

cheap but could be better even for this price”

location, price and high ceilings

It's a cheap place in a great location, but I can't help thinking other hotels just as cheap would have solved many of these problems. * staff mostly couldn't speak a word of english. That was surprising - given that all tuktuk drivrs can, and so can all on Pub Street. Power outlets insufficient and in awkward positions. Room safe is a portable safe box. Easily stolen in entirety. Bathrooms are shoddily designed like a low-grade apartment. Ceiling lamp's bulb so exposed that it's glaring. Wardrobe door wouldn't close, had to wedge a hanger in it to keep it shut. BUT minibar is really cheap!! That's a first! In a pinch and for a good location, it suffices.
