Good for one night
I went there for a business trip. I had a problem with the Air Condition. The staff did not hesitate much and immediately changed the room for me. Do not expect much, just good location and clean room.

OK for the price of it.
The wifi had been upgraded and the speed now is good. Breakfast was still the same offerings. Not too bad though. My room faces the side road and it has a recycling point. So, the stench - you guess it - is unbearable. Keep your windows closed. There was a heavy downpour on my second day. The roads were flooded. Thanks goodness it cleared towards the evening and we could go about walking around.

The ideal place to stay in Phnom Penh.
This hotel is very well situated and extremely good value. The staff were always extremely helpful, particularly the men on reception. Breakfast was a real bonus and very good. We cannot fault this place and will always return to the Angkor International. Brilliant.

There are better hotels in the price range.
There are many hotels in Phnom Penh that compete in the $15 segment. This one is not my favorite, but nothing in this price range has everything, and people have different requirements. The biggest negatives: 1. No grounded power outlets...at all. If you have a computer with you, you better bring an adapter. This can be remedied at the nearby market for 80 cents though, so not a show stopping problem. 2. No in room coffee maker. Yes, you can get it at the breakfast buffet downstairs, but there are enough hotels in the price range that provide it in room for this to dampen my enthusiam. 3. The breakfast was the worst I've encountered. At this price point, the breakfast should be an Asian buffet. This hotel tries to do some kind of weird fusion thing that winds up using ingredients like cheap hotdogs. They didn't even have an option for gietiew. They did have rubbery pancakes and an Asian omelette stand, but nothing edible to go with their rice. The positives: 1. Great air conditioning. The room can get downright cold if you want it to. 2. In room refrigerator. 3. Clean rooms. It is an older hotel built without attention to detail and thin walls, but the staff does a great job of keeping it clean. Overall it wasn't my best experience for the price, but it will provide you a decent place to stay near the Riverside if this is what you are looking for. And if the negatives above don't bother you, then give it a try.

Room from Hell
Hotel seems to cater for low cost tour groups now.Breakfast great. One lunch meal only as all salt and no taste.Bar great yet l was only one at happy hour for 3 nights stay.Room 315 second time this room (stayed several times) Door only stays closed with key and does not fully lock, , toilet drips all night, 9 power points yet electric jug ends up on floor, a/con cool window but bed area hot and stuffy. When windows open noise from all night money lenders-places change over the years.
