      Unbelieveable dirty place! Dont book!”

I have booked a Standard Double room for a few days stay. Actually, even after complaining and changing the room, I had to leave early because the rooms that were given to me were smelly, ugly, dirty, the bathroom had water draining out of toilet, ... I dont understand why Agoda still offers such a place. I am not picky, understand that cheap rooms are not perfect, but thats an absolute nogo. Waste of (prepaid) money, i recommend not to go to this place!! I have photos for proof.

      A Dirty Filthy Mess”

We love staying near Sisowath Quay. We arrived late evening and were escorted up four steep flights of stairs to our room by a security guard who, halfway up, grabbed a small bag of food from our hands and demanded a tip before leaving us for the night. Our room was dirty. Crusty stains on the carpet, a trail of filth on the wall side of the bed, and matured mold grown into the sealant in the bathroom. The bed had an American-style comforter with no duvet cover — god knows if it has ever been washed. The bathroom was barely large enough to turn and shower in, as the shower head was positioned almost directly over the toilet. The provided toiletries were a quarter-roll of toilet paper, a bar of soap no bigger than my thumb from joint to joint, and a toothbrush with a green, goopy paste that had no safety cap. The online photos must be a decade old. Maybe the superior room offers something the regular double room doesn’t, but I’m not willing to pay three extra bucks a night to find out.

      NOT AS ADVERTISED”

The positives: Friendly staffs, walking distance to many places. Cons: the room was so small, no windows, no nothing. Not very clean. Not sure where they got the pictures from but it was definitely not the room I stayed in! Even the picture of the corner lot WAS NOT THE ACTUAL PLACE. It's a few shops down. And VERY SMALL. Stairs were steep, room wasn't cleaned everyday. A staff did walk in on us sleeping tho.

False advertising - not the building photographed”

Smoke stink, filthy sheets, mold ! - health is not to be compromised at all; black mold is a serious issue and not to be breathed. Not the corner building photographed!!! We did not stay here because it was completely unacceptable, but we paid first at the front desk, but my Visa Credit Card will challenge the charge because of false advertising & unacceptable conditions. The small building on the left of the photograph with the triangle roof is the actual building.

Cheap place to stay in Phnom Penh. In the center of the city. Friendly staff. Old building but it's fair price for that rate. But they didn't clean the room daily. I stayed 4 nights there and had to ask them to clean the room on the 3rd day.

      Great location, clean room”

The room was quite small however this is what we paid for plus they upgraded us to a room with a window for free. The room was clean and bathroom was clean so we book an extra night. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, they helped us get a visa for Vietnam and boat/bus tickets to Vietnam. Plus helped with a reasonable taxi for the day for S21 and killing fields. The location is perfect very close to the palace and museum. About 15 minute walk to night market and also central market. Overall very happy with stay and would recommend.

Very very happy in that hotel! It's great!”

Breakfast and other food, location, room and staff

I only can recommand very much this hotel. Everything was great here... I had a nice and clean room in the 4th floor. A highlight was the breakfast every morning. In the nice restaurant outside you have your choice from the menu card. The staff was always very helpful and professional! The hotel is near the river and the royal palace - easy for go around by walk. The only thing... there is no elevator and a long way for go the stairs to the higher floors... but also good for fitness... A very great place to stay!

Nice location but No elevator ”

      Location, Food and helpful staff

It was overall ok. But during checkin, we were given a room located on the 5th floor (technically 6th floor) and there was no elevator or lift, we struggled climbing the stairs up to our room only to find out that it was not the family room I booked. It was a dorm type room with 6 bunk beds. I went down the reception, and told her to give the room I book, she said I was strong enough to climb the stairs and the room we reserve is still occupied due to guests' extension. I did not buy it, I told her to give me the room I paid for. After few minutes she gave us the room which is located at the second floor only (thank God). I noticed that there are two big backpacks and there is no sign that the room has been used. Anyway room is nice, but comfort room is very small which is situated under the stairs of the building I mean it is constructed under the stairs... Food is good, they have a resto, billiards, and nicest thing is that the royal palace is a mere 5 minute walk, 2 minutes to the museum... :)

Nice Hotel in a good location”

      Location, Restaurant

We only were in Phnom Penh for two nights and needed a cheap place to stay in a good location with A/C. This was more than adequate for our stay. The no window room is actually quite small, but it was all we needed. The A/C was cold and wifi was fast. The restaurant downstairs is surprisingly good and has a nice atmosphere. The staff were helpful. The cons would be the small room and the stairs. If you get on the top floor it's quite a hike up and down.

      Don't Book it”

While this could be a great hotel with it's beautiful patios and corner location the rooms are drab and poorly maintained. Our room was dirty (dead cockroaches) and while the top sheet was new the rest seemed old and thin. With so many cheap options available where the owner keeps mattresses, sheets, and towels clean or new I can't suggest this place.

      OK Guesthouse with good location”

The standard room is OK: it's no fridge in these rooms, but you'll have A/C, hot shower and free drinking-water. The room has no view and the bed is not among the best (just a foam-mattress that don't give support if you have the weight of a foreigner). The location is good if you want to stay near the Riverside: close to the Riverside bars and restaurants, and not to far from Central market. It's worth the price if you just stay a few days and isn't to picky about the bed...

Room no window. Which was no stated. It's very claustrophobic to sleep in a place with no window or ventilation. In most of western countries it would not be allowed to sleep in such a place. There is no space to put your bags or things. Be ready to climb steep stairs up to your room. Don't stay here. You can ask my opinion at m.silva.m@hotmail.com
