Very good location ”
This hotel is located at the central of Siemreap. Quiet hotel and easy to walk to the tourist area, just 500 m walked to pub street and old market. We can see the river in front of the hotel. Service level is in average level.
Clean place to stay ”
This hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable, and most of the staff was nice. My bigge complaint about this place was that one day I was in the pool and a guy came along fumigating for bugs. He didn't communicate with me at all, verbally or otherwise. He didn't even look around to see if anyone was there, although I saw him walk around the pool area several times before he began spraying massive amounts of bug fog. He was wearing a mask, but never gave me that opportunity. I quickly got out of the pool and communicated to the hotel manager what had happened. His only attempt at service recovery was saying he would send me a fruit basket. I declined by telling him that the fruit on the breakfast buffet appeared that it had been there at least several days. By the way, at breakfast, don't get the ham... I've never had ham that is flavorless, but this place has it... scary. And also don't get any breads that have fruit stuffed inside- it's an attempt to get rid of what's bad.
There are ants in the room. Not so well maintained. The wooden framed mirror kind of worn off. But overall, is still liveable,. I can accept it. Market, convenience store etc are within walking distance. Very convenient. Aircon in common area are usually off to save electricity. Don't expect to enter into the hotel with aircon. Aircon near reception counter is on else staff will melt. Staff are nice and polite. But we need to be patient with them due to the communication barrier. Their English is not as good but functional. I will still come back to this hotel.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread is pretty standard but the staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. The location of this hotel is great, about 5-6 mins walk to the food street, Arts Centre and shopping areas, so it's not noisy yet convenient. There is a big supermarket just across the street and near a number of massage parlours. It is also near a bus company, Capitol Bus Company, that has buses connecting to different parts of Cambodia as well as to Bangkok.
Great place, great value”
Enjoyed our stay here at Angkor Riviera. Stayed in a family suite. Location is just a 5-10 min walk away from Pub Street / Night Market, which means you are away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to get there. Staff were friendly and professional. My documents were ready for check in when I arrived so I barely had to wait, and this is the first time a receptionist followed us to our rooms just to show us our rooms and taught us how to turn on the aircon etc. Breakfast provided was decent, but if you're looking for excellent breakfast, I'd suggest heading to the 2 cafes near this hotel - Hive Cafe and Common Grounds Cafe (this is a not-for-profit organization!).
This place has it all. Great breakfast, excellent location, and it's even pretty quiet at night even though it's on the main street. I came with a bunch of my students, and we loved it here. We'll definitely be back next year.
Staff very helpful and polite however the occasional lack of attn caused long meal wait time.”
Overall cannot fault the hotel but the time we were there it was overrrun by Koreans and the breakfast buffet certainly favoured the Asia taste. I and my companion (Cambodian) like Asian cuisine but I feel more should be done to cater for Western breakfast tastes. As has previously been mentioned by a Canadian couple the mozzies are still dive bombing diners to the right of the restaurant entrance closely followed by the ant special forces. I brought this to the attn of the manager who said it is an ongoing problem. In essence I would say to anyone booking the hotel be aware that it's very popular with a lot of Korean coach parties and breakfast is like a feeding frenzy with everyone talking to Facebook whilst trying to control their chopsticks. hmm. I would certainly use the hotel again.
Great location, great room!”
This hotel is in an excellent location. Its located right next to the Night Market, numerous restaurants, coffee shops, and a short walk to Pub Street if thats your idea of a good time. The staff were very helpful, the pool was great (jacuzzi wasnt heated though), and the breakfast was excellent! I recommend this place!
The hotel is located on the river near many nice restaurants and walking distance to the night market, the Hard Rock Cafe and the Art Night Market. The hotel was OK, not a 4 star, but it was comfortable and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms are a bit run down and we had some brown water coming from the bathroom tap on our last day. The pool was nice and cold and the breakfast buffet was adequate, although it would be nice to change the selection from day to day. The hotel caters to large groups of Korean and Chinese tour groups, so it gets a lot of of use. We had a late flight and they allowed a late check out for $25 more. I would recommend this hotel for a night or two, but for an extended stay I would select one of the many boutique hotels in the area.
Good Location, Polite Staff, Good Internet Access”
We were a group of 3 that stayed in this hotel. It was generally a good experience. Clean rooms, good breakfast buffet, polite staff, good Internet access. Rooms were very spacious. I also enjoyed using the pool. The place is walking distance to pub street, about 5-10 minutes walk. I'd stay here again next time I go to Siem Reap.
Comfortable hotel with great facilities.”
Lovely hotel that is extremely affordable. It is nicely located near the city centre with charming garden and good breakfast. The staffs are friendly but not so good in English. We love the hotel with affordable price, and will recommend friend to stay if visiting Siem Reap.
My favourite hotel in Siem Reap”
I have stayed many times or everytime that I visit here if it is available room here coz very friendly staffs, good location which easy to access to anyplace of the city or night life place as Pub Street and very fair room rate very comfortable room
still great and good service hotel”
Still love this hotel anytime to visit cambodia/Siem Reap ,the first hotel that I will check is available or not? is Angkor Riviera Hotel coz good location and very friendly staff and easy to access to any place of siem reap city or night lice place
Wonderful stay in Siem Reap”
We have spent a really pleasant time in this hotel. Everything worked smoothly. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We could reach the night market & centre-town within walking distance. Only breakfast needs to be improving for ex. fresh fruits etc
A Convenient Hotel”
Overall the stay is enjoyable. 15 minutes walk to night markets, the old market & pub street. Tuk tuk ride to hotel is only US2. The breakfast is normal but don't expect much for the hotel price you pay. Don't expect local cambodian understand basic courtesy and you will not be dissapointed. The aminities in the room is good with toothbrush, hair dryer, bath coat, which I did not expect.
Affordable Swanky Hotel, but Airport pickup failed”
Our stay at the hotel is very nice and satisfying. The hotel has good location near spas, shopping centres, markets, bars and restaurant, with free buffet breakfast. They always clean our room, replace our towels and beddings upon request. They also have a nice and clean pool. The attendants/receptionists were all attentive to our requests. They were even the one who gave us directions within the city and even give suggestions which transports are best going around Cambodia. They helped us book our tour to the Angkor Complex and the transport going to Phnom Penh. The only thing I had a problem with them is that no one showed to pick us up in the airport, even I ticked the AIR TRANSFER option and indicated our flight no. Upon, confirming with them, the hotel told us that we should have sent them an email informing them for pick-up since the price is not included in the hotel room price to which I replied that we understood that we have to pay for the transport upon arrival in the hotel. It seems there is some miscommunication because such procedure of sending them email is not indicated in site. Moreover, it is better not to exchange US $ into KHR Cambodian Riel, since almost all uses USD and conversion of USD to KHR is different in each establishments. The Hotel has the lowest exchange rate of USD to KHR compared to the Airport Exchange Rate. Still, if you have USD with you, no need to exchange to KHR anymore.
We had a good stay here. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of options, and the rooms were clean enough. There's a swimming pool we didn't use, but facilities in general were great, although dinner at the hotel restaurant took a really long time. The night we came, we were greeted with cold orange juice while we checked in and had our luggage brought to our rooms. Because the hotel is so big, though, the service was not always very personable. Still, it was a good stay and there was nothing glaringly wrong with the facilities or services.
Budget price, Centrally located”
The stay at The Angkor Riviera was OK but not over the moon. It is handy to the cheap tourist markets and there are plenty of tuk tuks around for transport needs. The staff never seemed to be happy with there work and only done the bare minimum to keep the place ticking over.
great hotel at a low price”
we had a pleasant stay at this hotel, I cannot complain about anything. despite worn carpets and a slight old-hotel smell, the building remains pleasant and the rooms well-appointed. the receptionists were warm and helpful, and the breakfast choices sufficient. the hotel is along the river, which makes it easy to find our way around (especially to the Angkor), yet walking distance to the Old Market, Pub Street, and Night Markets, and there are other tourist sevices right outside, like tuk-tuks, laundry services, bike rental, and travel agencies for bus tickets. I cannot believe we paid such a low price for the room on Agoda, their published rates if you book at the hotel is more than double what we paid.
Good value, good service”
We were met at the airport with their complimentary airport pick up and the driver was very pleasant. The front desk was friendly and very helpful. They helped us with our travel arrangement to Bangkok and all questions about moving around in Siem Reap. I had problem with the internet connection and this gal at the front desk amazed me with her computer skills and gave me a lesson on how to get connection to public networks that are not so user-friendly, a skill I am still using in my travels. The complimentary buffet breakfast is pretty international and sumptuous.
