In this day and age of pretentious and manufactured hospitality, where hotels and resorts who claim to know what it takes to provide genuine 5 star service, where it's very easy to be treated as a number... every now and again, you are treated to what actual genuine 5 Star service looks like, where your every need is attended to seamlessly, where genuine hospitality is not work or a duty but comes from the heart and where you can feel that Malaysia Truly Asia experience. For this reason, there is no stronger recommendation than a stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang. Mr. Davidde Ong, their General Manager has assembled what we feel is a group of staff who definitely go above and beyond to make sure that guests have a wonderful experience whether they are staying just for a staycation or have decided to make this their home away from home with a much longer stay. The Angsana Teluk Bahang is located just under a 1 hour leisurely drive from Penang International Airport, 45 minutes away from historical George Town and a mere 12 minutes from Batu Ferringhi. What definitely sets apart Angsana Teluk Bahang from the other hotels close by, is the tranquillity and beauty of the Teluk Bahang area. A chance for some rest and relaxation, a chance to unwind yet be close enough to the hustle and bustle of the Batu Ferringhi area where you can venture around the nightly markets or various cafes and restaurants... you have the best of both worlds. The hotel completed in 2020 and part of the illustrious Banyan Group and it's associations with Accor, do fill you with confidence that your experience is going to be nothing short of 5 star. The attention to detail at the hotel has to be experienced first hand, from their amazing, well appointed and spacious rooms to their well layed out facilities and of course their renowned Jendela and No.11 restaurants. You can see that a lot of thought has gone into making your stay and experience one to remember. We only stayed for 5 nights, though I feel that a longer stay is definitely something that I would encourage. Our room type was their flagship and premier room, The Angsana 2 Bedroom Pool suite which comes with its own, you guessed it, private pool! The room comes with everything one needs to make your stay relaxing and memorable, a daily housekeeping and turndown service ensures that the room stays clean and welcoming throughout your entire stay. Their rooms also come with a simple yet complimentary minibar. As a guest staying in one of their suite room options, you also have the opportunity of enjoying a delectable breakfast at either their bustling Jendela or relaxed No.11 restaurant, breakfast at both venues start from 6.30 to 10.30am and you will be spoilt for choice with the extensive range of food options available... there is no doubts as to which country in South East Asia has the best food and at Jendela and No.11 their chefs continually out do themselves to ensure that your culinary experience will live long in the memory and your tastebuds long after you have checked-out. Of course with all that indulging and if you are looking to work off some of that delicious food, the Angsana Teluk Bahang does have a well equipped 24 hour gym, 2 pools and a semi-private beach so you can get yourself ready for your next meal! The hotel also provides many activities for the young and young at heart and available to all guests is a complimentary shuttle service to and from George Town and Batu Ferringhi though bookings are essential. Of course any hotel can have the best amenities, the best rooms, the best dining options but without wonderful and hospitable staff, it just remains as a hotel.
