Modern Guesthouse with Easy-Going Staff”
we arrived at 6am and the guesthouse was not yet open. it is situated above an sta travel and when they opened at 7am we were able to check in straight away! this is a guesthouse with only 6 rooms and the staff at both the guesthouse and the travel agency let you come and go without asking questions (which is a welcome relief from most other places in vietnam.) the room is very modern with good air-con, cable tv, lockable wardrobe, hot water and a balcony. the only thing i would suggest is some shelves to put your belongings on, as everything is pretty much stored on the floor, and the room isn’t that big. as per other reviews, it is probably the smallest bathroom we have experienced, but it is clean, fresh and nothing different from the majority of hotels in south east asia in terms of layout.

Cute, friendly little place in a killer location!”
Title says it all, really. This guesthouse is in a great location for both sights and prices. It's on one of the quieter side streets in the backpacker area but the rooms are definitely a notch or two above standard backpacker interiors - decent amenities, spotlessly clean, comfortable, private and secure. Reception doubles as a travel agency and staff definitely look after you. This is my fifth time to Vietnam and this guesthouse has been my best choice in the backpacker-area so far.

Great helpful staff”
the guest house is right in the center of the city. most of the cities attractions are within walking distance. the rooms are tiny but they are very very clean and the beds are much more comfortable than in usual in inexpensive southeast asian guesthouses. the best part of the hotel is the wonderful people. they are very kind and helpful.

cheap and clean hotel”
This mini hotel's price here is cheaper more than other 3-5 stars hotels at the central area, if you book the room pay by cash is 15$US , booked from pagoda was 13$US dollars. You can also book the 3 stars hotels room prices from 30$US, but room clean is enough, save the money to buy food and beers. I can say it's the backpacker's area, room is clean, comfortable, friendly family holder, many travel agents provide the one day or 2~3days tours, if you want to change your money, recommend the bank along the Pham Ngu Lao Street, the better rate than travel agent, cheap beers and food can find nearly the area. Many Nightclubs. Be careful of your bags and don't use your smart phone on your hand while you're walking, put in your pocket. Although there're other cheaper rooms in here, but I'm lazy to move my belongings so I stayed everynights here, clean cheap hotel ,I appreciate.

Nice Budget Guesthouse With Pleasant Service ”
Considering this is only a guest-house and backpacker-like accommodation, the rooms are almost of a 2 or 3 star hotel. Bathroom & toilet, although extremely small, is acceptable and clean. Mini fridge, comfy bed, good 25-inch TV with all cable channels. Smack in the centre of bursting District 1 food and shopping precinct. No phone, table or lockable safes. Again, this isn't a hotel. We spent 4 days here and were happy with it. For $16 USD per day, it's a real bargain.

room photo totally different from where I lived”
the photos of the room is totally different from where I lived. The room I lived was just like a guest house room, while the photo on the website looks like in a hotel. very disappointed. However, in terms of the cost, the C/P value is very high. The location is good, the room is clean, and the staff is nice, while the price is relatively low. Good for those who would like to have a place to sleep. But the guest house needs to show the real room photos on their website.

Great Service and Location”
the only thing i'd wish to improve is the bathroom as it is very small. also, the guesthouse closes at 12 midnight so make sure to be back before midnight if you don't want to be left outside. overall, we had a wonderful stay and probably one of the best guesthouses we've booked. location is great as it is in the very heart of all the backpackers' happenings. restaurants are all over the place. the staff was very accommodating and respectful.

Small clean cheap room ”
Staff was very friendly and happy to help us find things in the city and offer ideas of thing last to do. The room was small but worth the price and worked just fine for us. It is really close to walking street so we were worried it was going to be loud in our rooms. Thankfully it was very quite and we got some of our best sleep here.

Cheap and friendly staff. Much better than Thanh Truong Hotel!”
The room is small but you get wat you paid for. it is gud to stay for a transit overnight sleep before you move to nex location. this guesthouse is near sinh cafe. i rather stay in anh dao guesthouse even it is small and cramped if the staff are friendly and helpful than being cheated by Thanh Truong Hotel.

Pretty good, but read on”
okay - so they didn't have a room for me that was booked and put me up across the street at the Lan Anh Hotel which was slightly nicer with a lift, but small small balcony. Changing across the street wasn't my first choice, but they are not owned by the same people so other than losing my payment, I had to move for the last 2 nights. Other reviewers mention the low ceilings in the stairs. Its true and they do warn you, but if you're tall and unaware, ouch. Overall, I would say this place is okay

Value for money”
Value for money is all that I can say... the rooms do not have balconies as per their photos... was sent to another partner hotel that is smack in the center of loud area with karaoke blaring up to 3.00am... difficult to sleep... unless you enjoy of street performers from the window it is not advisable to stay in this guesthouse especially if you need peace and quite at night.

Lovely hotel and great location.”
I found this hotel a lovely place to stay. The town centre was extremely close to this hotel and the rooms were very clean. There was good service and staff were very friendly. The room price was good and I think I'll come back to this hotel next time we visit Vietnam.I really recommend.

Friendly welcome in the heart of the tourist area”
Stayed one night. Upgraded to "deluxe balcony" room at check-in. Staff were friendly and really welcoming. Scented oil burner! and watermelon on arrival. Recently renovated small room with awkward layout ... bed blocks the balcony door. Perhaps the smallest bathroom Ive ever experienced. De Tham is not the quiet sidestreet that a previous review suggests. Expect street noise in the front facing rooms.

Our room was double booked”
We didn't stay at this hotel. We called earlier in the day because we had a flight arriving late into ho chi Minh city and asked them to keep the room for us. When we arrived there was lots of confusion and then we were moved to another hotel. We purposely chose this hotel because we didn't want to stay on Bui Vien street because of arriving so late, and then due to our room being double booked we were moved into a hotel onto this street.

Tiny room but good value”
location wise, this hotel is great. we arrived from mui ne and the bus dropped us almost right in front. it's perfect if you want to hang out in the pham ngu lao backpacker area. the hotel itself was good. it's on top of a sta travel agency. we had a room on the top floor (302) and it was a climb since there is no elevator. the room and the bathroom are tiny, the bed is partially blocking the door and it's just generally crammed. probably the smallest room we've stayed in in sea. however, it should not stop you from staying here as it was very clean, the bed was comfy, the a/c was nice and the flat screen tv on the wall was also cool. when we arrived, there was some essential oil burning, i thought that was a nice touch. at least the room always smells good! for the price, i think it was a nice room. small, absolutely, but clean and worth it in my opinion.

Very small room but comfortable”
The room I stayed in was small with a double bed which was fine for one person. If I were sharing the room then it would have been awkward and cramped. The bathroom was tiny, with a dodgy tap, but effort had been made to make the room more comfortable and they had provided a wardrobe, tv, fridge and aircon so this felt better than some of the typical 'backpacker' rooms I've stayed in which provide nothing but a bed. The room was clean and the hotel ideally located in District One.

Nice placefriendly staff”
the room was very small, hardly room to move around, but it was very clean and a comfortable bed with good internet and tv. its a good place for just a day or 2, very convenient to the tour offices and buses. easy walk to center city

Great differences in rooms!”
Our fist room was ridiculously small,Very Dirty and the Walls moldy so definitely not what Most of the pictures are showing. BUT when we asked for another room, the guy from the reception was very nice and gave us another proper room. Location is Great, in the middle of the backpacker district Right next to a lot of bars etc.

Cozy place.”
The place is really well located for those who like to stay at the backpackers' area (I don´t but had no other choice in this trip). The room was good, clean and well serviced. The staff was very gentle and borrowed me a helmet for a night that I was out driving. The main con: The place closes around 23h00 every night. You can wake up the staff to open the door but you definitely don´t want to do that all night long if you are a night owl like me so you feel a bit limited on that side. Another con is that the place can be sometimes a bit noisy. The room´s door is not as thick as one would like to and when the staff (apparently a family of sorts) is laughing, cooking or playing you can hear the whole thing in your room. The WIFI worked OK although the signal was lost every now and then.
