beautiful hotel in best possible location”

Location (shopping, towers, restaurants), large modern rooms

This is the best location for Kuala Lumpur. Location in Bukit Bintang is steps away from all the big shopping malls like Lot 10, Pavillion, Sungei Wang, and more. The Bukit Bintang monorail station is just around the corner. Next door to the hotel is the Lot 10 basement eateries and supermarket. Plus, restaurants are all around. Rooms are beautifully modern (and large) with an open floor plan, so the sink is located in an open area beside the shower and toilet enclosure. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with hotpot/coffee/tea, flat screen TV, toiletries, free in-room wifi, mini-fridge, and 2 bottles of water are provided daily. AC works great. No pool or fitness center but there is a nice little spa on the 2nd floor that offers specials like 30 min fish spa free with any 1 hour treatment purchase (reasonable prices). There's a bit of noise at night from the bar in the front of the hotel so you might ask for a room farthest away. Avoid the restaurants attached directly to the front of the hotel. There's a street full of popular outdoor eateries if you exit hotel and head to the monorail street, turn right on monorail street and make your first left. It's overwhelming but something to see even if you dont eat there. Otherwise try Lot 10's basement eateries.

We have a pleasant stay in this hotel”

Not a very big hotel but people are friendly, location is very good and plenty restaurants and local eateries around.
The entrance at the main street is a bit dark at night time.

This is my second review about this hotel. My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 5 days this time so I can write a bit more. Location is the main reason that we chose this hotel. It is in the middle of Bukit Bintang and within 4 minutes walk to the Monorail station. Lot 10 shopping centre is next to this hotel. At the basement of Lot 10 there is a food court with many varieties of food that you can choose. Other shopping centres like Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang Plaza, Berijaya Time square Shopping mall and Pavilion KL are only 5-10 minutes walk away. Jalan Alor with different hawker styles Food Street is also 5-10 minutes walk away. So, you will have different varieties of food for you to choose. There is free shuttle bus running nearly every hour from Bukit Bintang (outside Bukit Bintang Plaza by Starbuck Café) to Central Market which is also near China Town so you can tour around China Town as well as do your shopping. The room is in reasonable size with plenty room moving around. The washing basin inside the room is a bit strange but we find it OK. Water is very hot and air conditioning works well. Staff is very friendly and always eager to help. Room is very clean and daily refill of packets of coffee, tea and toiletries. The hotel also supplies daily newspaper (you can choose Chinese or English newspaper). We went to Meleka for few days and we could store our luggage with the hotel. On the whole we are very happy with this hotel and will return to stay whenever we visit KL again.

Amazing stay”

Love ANSA so much! Firstly, I would to personally feedback on your Front Office staffs, Khairul and Suhaila for making our check in experience fun! They were very helpful and made us felt very welcomed!! Khairul was so cheerful and he was full of smiles thruout the check in process which is indeed, a very good example of a Front Office staff. He definitenly made us felt that we have made a good choice by choosing ANSA. Room was clean and spacious. Got a free upgrade out of goodwill, and we were so thakful for it. Bed was clean and very comfortable. We were very well rested the entire 5 days 4 nights, yay! I would like to also feedback on your friendly guards in blue uniforms. They were really helpful and never once failed to greet us with big, cheerful, smiles on their faces no matter what time of the day it is. My friend had a bad experience with some strangers, got harrassed, and even got followed back to ANSA area while staying there. She informed the guards about it the minute she reached ANSA. The next following days, your guards actually volunteerily walked her to the lift almost everytime they see her and never failed to ask if she was doing alright. This is definitely an outstanding experience for my friend and myself. It was definitely such a pleasant surprise. It made us felt so secured from then on whenever we are around ANSA or in ANSA itself. All thanks to your friendly Nepal guards who are always looking sharp, and always on their feet, all ready to serve if needed. I applaud ANSA for recruiting such outstanding people. Good job. ANSA is definitely worth the value. With such friendly and helpful staffs, I would definitely be a returning customer. It was my first time stay in ANSA, fourth for my friend. I understand clearly now on why she didn't ever hesitate to be ANSA's regular customer. Location wise is absolutely perfect. All the good malls are surrounding it. If you don't wish to eat in expensive restaurants, or if you are just simply hungry in

Great location, friendly staff, clean and modern.”

When we arrived the location was fantastic we were so surprised. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and welcoming. The staff were very polite and helpful throughout our stay too, assisting with printing my documents, arranging our 6am taxi back to the airport and giving us various advice. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, the malls, metro systems etc it was great. Actually, the only one downside was the aircon. It was a bit like being the arctic circle, and it seemed that no matter what you set the temp to it was just “on” or “off”. In the end we set it to low and just turned it off when we felt cold. Not really a deal breaker. I’d spent days looking a hotel beforehand and I looked everywhere around the Bukit Bintang area. I was worried about all the hotels I looked at given the various reviews. But when we got to ANSA all the anxiety passed so happy days. Hopefully this review will help others with their choice :)

Perfect hotel location for shopping”

nice clean rooms, good customer service

I was there to celebrate my girlfriend birthday and the room is perfect for us! It was a connecting room. I must say, the room is really spacious and clean. As I live in the world of geek, the free wi-fi service works great in the room and the lobby as well. The hotel location was perfect for us to hang out at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur where they have a walkaway bridge to KLCC (just 10 minutes walk), Sungei Wang Plaza and many more malls. Bukit Bintang Monorail station is less 5 minutes walk. In short, the hotel location is just perfect! But the only disappointment is the breakfast. The breakfast Lebanese style at Al-Amar Express. Not to my usual breakast liking.

Quick break”

The first time I visited KL, so I had no clue on where to stay during the trip. One of my friend suggest for Ansa Hotel, and it's perfect for me. The hotel is located at the heart of bukit bintang, only 50 metres away from Pavilion mall. The surrounding area of the hotel is literally packed with shops, malls, restaurants, and all kinds of hangout place. the are is really crowded on the weekend tho, so try to go outside the area except you want to experience the hype of weekend there. The twin tower petronas also not too far away from the hotel. We can walk thru connecting bridges that extend from pavilion mall all the way to KLCC. I enjoy my experience stayin at the hotel. Instead of booking for extra bed, they just upgrade my room that has 1 king and 1 single bed inside. isnt it awesome. the room itself is quite wide, and 3 person inside still have space to roam around comfortably. Too bad, I haven't get a chance to experience the rest of their facilities.

Great Price, Great Hotel”

what I liked best about the hotel is that the room was very very clean, i'm the type of person that is very concerned about cleanliness especially for the bathroom, but the Piccolo hotel, wa sjust fantastic...
what I liked less about the hotel was the lobby, because the lobby was near the restaurant, made the lobby always smelled like food, so that wasn't a pleasant smell

for those who are looking for a very clean, great service and convenient hotel yet not that pricy, I would suggest the Piccolo Hotel, it is located exactly at Bukit Bintang, very near to some great shopping malls, very easy to find, and it's location is just so easy to go about anywhere... I would never suggest any other other at Bukit Bintang other than the Piccolo hotel, I would definitely go back there when I visit Kuala Lumpur again...

Great location and lovely hotel ”

Location, cosy room, comfortable bed, unique layout, friendly staff and good security

We got a pleasant surprise when they upgraded us to a Deluxe Room. Breakfast included is served by Coffee Club nearby, in front of Farenheit88. Hotel has limited facilities, but well maintained, clean, safe and nice. Super convenient location, right in the heart of Bukit Bintang, very near to Pavilion KL, and right next to Farenheit88 and Lot 10. Lot 10 basement has a great (although expensive) food court at the basement where they have some of Malaysia's most famous local fares which are really very good. Within a short walk is the Bukit Bintang Monorail, which connects to many other locations and other transportation lines, making it convenient to move about. BB is very vibrant, dynamic and happening with activities well into the night. Many tourists and people working and living around the area hanging out after work at the cool joints. Many seedy characters around too, so beware of pick-pockets. There are many policemen on patrol around th area too. Pavilion basement has a great food court and many great restaurants too. Jalan Alor is nearby, much like Newton Circus, targeted to tourists. Although cheaper (still expensive as they are known to hike up prices for unsuspecting tourists), hygiene-wise, it's not desirable. Nevertheless, must visit still. Connected to Jalan Alor is Changkat Bukit Bintang, which is like Holland V, has many cool pubs and hangout joints that make this area unique and happening in its own rights. Particularly favored by expats.

Hole in the Wall Gem!”

Great location. Rooms are pragmatically designed and clean.
Inconvenient lobby entrance. Front of lobby rather low ceiling and dark.

The Piccolo is situated in a very strategic location in the Bukit Bintang area. Walking distance to most of the shopping malls like the Pavilion, Starhill, Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang Plaza and add a few more walking minutes will bring you to KLCC Suria. Also close by is the LRT station. Food wise - there's loads to choose from in a radius of ten walking minutes. For morning coffee and croissants we recommend the Espresemente at the Pavilion. The rooms are designed to be space savers and it works but some rooms are a wee bit small. Rooms that are closer to the elevators are larger and tend to slim down in size as you stroll further away. Our room was the last down the corridor. Great for a few nights but a week would be too long. Price wise - it's sightly above average but value for money. The reception staff were competent and so was concierge. Housekeeping was great. F&B outlets and respective staff were more than adequate. Transport wise - Get concierge to call a hotel taxi for you if needed. Most taxis in this city refuse to go by the meter and they see a mark from afar...price haggling is common but incurs the wrath of the taxi drivers. Also if and when you do get a metered taxi make sure the flag down is the going rate and the meter jump is not tampered to trigger twice the sound of speed. We would recommend this hotel for first timers in the city and for short business trips. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

ANSA for the win: Excellent location and Reasonable pricing.”

First off: I really love the location of the hotel. The pavillion mall is within our view from the window, which is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. For us to Travel to other parts of KL was also made easy, because the grab car knows the location of the hotel. The price of the hotel was reasonable for us, although it came as a shock to us because our transaction via card couldn't get through the internet, so we have to pay on the spot (which was confusing as we got the impression that everything has been cleared beforehand- Which led us to check our bank statement). Rest assured, everything is in the clear now. The cleanliness of the hotel is fantastic and we were more than happy with the room service. So that's 10/10. The staff of the hotel was also very friendly and helpful, often greeted us with a polite gesture. There was however, a slight miscommunication when we asked one of the members to weigh our hand luggage- where the unit of measurement was in lbs but he incessant told us that our hand luggage is 15KG- a jolt to the face I would say. In a nutshell, although there were slight hiccups during our stay in the hotel but there's no major problem. I would definitely come back. Kudos to ANSA hotel.

i travel to KL many times, and before i know Ansa, a bit dissapointed if we stay around Bukit Bintang area. Ansa is very great, price i think is reasonable, the services good, but if you could improve more by having swimming pool or some area like restaurant it will be very good. Understand that in front of you there are 2 coffee shop... My opinion so far is very good,,nice place if you stay with kids or old people...

Location, cleanliness, friendly staff

Definitely a great experience staying at ANSA. Located within a short walking distance from Bukit Bintang monorail station and shopping malls/shops (Pavillion, Sephora, LOT10) to name a few. Condition of hotel and room service was superb. Friendly staffs that makes you feel at home. Upgrading work was ongoing on the front desk level, however was not affected throughout my stay. Wished the WIFI signal could have been better but being provided at no additional cost, can make do with that. Will definitely come again on another KL trip and recommending to my circle of family and friends. Keep it up!

Ansa hotel really has a perfect location, in the heart of Bukit Bintang near Pavillion Mall. I'm really enjoy my time during my trip since Ansa can provide you a clean and enough big room for you. But there're some points that may be should be noticed and can be improved by Ansa, like the facilities of Hotel itself (gym room or swimming pool) & i found that some tiny parts of bedcover is not in a good condition (found a hole or something tored up)...for the price, i'm really satisfied!! The location is excellent with eateries and shopping centres just next/nearby the hotel. Within walking distance to other tourist locations within Bukit Bintang. Easy to find uber/grab/taxi around the area. Located in lively area. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful. Very polite and they are always helpful to cater to your needs. Only downside is that the hotel has little to no meals room service (except Starbucks, also with minimal menu options) but the restaurants below (Oldthentic Cafe and Greyhound) have really good food. Piccolo Hotel kuala lumpur has always been my favorite hotel in kuala lumpur, malaysia. price is reasonable, hotel is so stylishly design. but importantly is the hotel location, which is so so great, right in the middle of the busy shopping district. from the moment you step out of the hotel main entrance, you can shop till you drop. there is a reasonably new and huge mall, call pavilion. it is some shopping area you do not want to missed. anyway, hotel service is great too, you were greeted everywhere you go in the hotel. just a great experience!

Nice hotel with suitable location”

The location of ANSA hotel is very suitable. It is situated near a hub of Monorail station, bus and taxi stand. So movement around the city is easy. Twin-tower, shopping malls, different kinds of restaurants is in walking distance. One thing you have to careful. They have a very active desk to attract guests to take tour packages and transportation services around the city. ANSA demands that those offers are the cheapest in Kuala Lumpur, which is actually not true. So compare the offers of the hotel with the information available in the internet and taxi drivers.

Home Away”

This is my first time staying at ANSA, but will not be my last time. I had tried several hotels in Bukit Bintang area, and I have to say this is the most worth the price hotel. Location is so strategic, the room is spacious (I booked deluxe room), the cleanliness is the best and I love their bed (was wondering what is the brand). The staff were friendly and helpful.

Perfect Hotel in KL”

1) Value for Money 2) Very Clean 3) Very Cheap 4) Modern room design 5) Location 6) Service
No view from the window No breakfast provided

For the price it was offering, I do think Piccolo would be the best hotel for you - especially if it would be your first time to visit KL. THere are several things that I like about the hotel: 1) The hotel was very modern and very clean. 2) Seems and feels like it is very new. The beds and pillows are really comfortable. 3) The price is relatively cheap - therefore it gives good value for money 4) Location is just perfect. It is at the heart of Bukit Bintang. It's beside Lot 10 and Pavilion Mall. Perfect for shopping. Very close to Time Square and the other shopping centres as well. A lot of restaurants nearby as well for a good dinner. It is also beside the Bukit Bintang monorail station so it is easy to go around. I also walked from Piccolo to the twin towers. Very close to everything. 5) Service was great. People working there are very nice 6) High speed wifi was provided. Perfect. THough there was no view in the window and no breakfast provided, I was still very happy with my stay here. Highly highly recommended.
