It was an awesome place! ”

We didn't know what to expect, since we saw the bad ratings of Antonio Village. But I can't understand why it is that bad rated. I wonder what people expect when the book the cheapest accommodation in El Nido! The shared bathroom was clean and so where the rooms. The mattress was super comfortable and we could sleep there for hours. We meet lots of cool people there and no one understood why it is so bad rated. It is nice located with an nice beach just around the corner. About 2 Min walking towards the town and you will find a nice little restaurant where you have free movie under the sky every evening. The family that runed the pension was super friendly. We brought our own food for breakfast and they gave us there plates and when we sat together in the evening we good Glases ice and calamancy for our drinks. The rooms and the bathroom were a bit sandy but there is sand everywhere around so you can't blame them. And when you don't leave food in your room, you wouldn't be surprised by ants! There are heaps of mosquito's on that Island so you can deside whether you spray insect killer or you cool your room down overnight!! Antonios was a blast and none of us 8 agreed with the ratings!!

For Practical Travellers.”

Thank you Antonio Village for making our stay comfortable and safe. Sobrang bait ng staff, one text and they will be pick you up. From your gala to your hectic tour and van transfer schedule.. Honestly, this is not the place for those who are really picky.. This is for those who are practical, remember tour ang pinunta nyo sa El nido so you won't spend your whole day in your rented room! It will be, Sleep, Shower and Breakfast.. Btw.. Thank you Antonio Village for letting us take a shower and change for free. No hidden charges.. 👌😊

Value for money. The staff is very kind and courteous and would provide what we need even if it's already late. Location is a 15 min walk from El Nido town but you'll appreciate the quiet surroundings here. Will be back here in case i'll be in EN again. :)

budget pension with clean room near Caalan beach”

if you telephone them, their tricycle will pick you up in El Nido for 70p. Many of the local trike drivers refuse to go down this path, it is narrow is placed and rough. If you have only light bags or trying to save money, it's easily walkable and has the most breathtaking views. The place seems a bit run down , everything a bit old and the staff disinterested. But the room was clean enough and have Aircon , even though it says fan room on your booking. The chef was busy the night we stayed so no restaurant meant we had to search around. There was very little budget options , for breakfast only there is a cheap and tasty toro-toro place. There are only the resorts with foreigner prices on the beach side, and the food was not that good anyway. My budget did not stretch to 2 meals at a resort . we went in wet season , maybe there are more places to eat in dry season . In the end, we ate noodles from the nearby sari-sari store . Hot water , cups and spoons are usually provided free by most Filipino pensions. It was a peaceful night , we met nice Czech couple and chatted with them.

It a all depends on expectations...”

The price was right for this hotel and the family running were very nice. There's seating areas outside of each room which is unique.

The stay there was not quite as i'd hoped. There was no hot or even warm water. There was no toilet seat on the toilet (although at least one room did have one). The location was difficult to get to, the trikes from el Nido town proper don't go down there and you have to carry your own luggage about 10-15 min down the dirt road. That being said, there is a certain charm to being in the middle of both a jungle and farmland right on the sea! Wifi is iffy but it is the same everywhere in el Nido. The customs are different than I am used to, when trying to get a meal one morning I sat down ten feet from the hosts and no one came to serve me at all. I finally got up and asked for a menu. Then no one came to take my order so after another ten minutes I took my food business down to a different place. I feel like they were expecting me to holler if I wanted something but that of course, would not be polite and I am canadian after all ;)

Everything was good except the location...”

I booked a double bed room end up a family room for the same price which was great! Lol! Bfast was good..they have bigger portion than outside. Staffs are great! Advice: let them know what time is your arrival so they can pick you up. Outside tricycle wont fit in a small alley. They can drop u off too to terminal. Just ask them. Wifi? Go to the lobby to get access or the closest room which we used on our last day.

"I will definitely consider coming back here"”

The place was clean and quiet, one plate of the pasta was good for 2-3 persons, I booked a fan room but I got an air conditioned room!

I booked a standard fan room but I got an air conditioned room! That was awesome! Some people would find this weird or creepy or whatever, because you'd have to pass by the cemetery to get there. I say that is quite alright. The place is safe. I was actually more concerned about the road because it was too narrow that only one tricycle(motorbike with sidecar) would fit. The food was cheap! A plate of pasta (php180-220) was good for sharing for 2-3persons. Wifi access is at the reception area which is just fine. I nearly missed the last bus trip to Puerto Princesa though. So I informed the staff before hand that I would be checking out early and requested to be dropped off to the bus terminal at around 8:00-8:20pm to catch the last trip that leaves at 9pm. It was free by the way. So when I gathered my things and asked for the driver, the staff told me that the driver went missing and was not picking up calls. I even proposed I'd walk my way to the corner where I could hail a tricycle but I didnt get any response. So the staff ended up looking for anyone who could drive and luckily they found one. That was just some tiny hiccup but aside from that, overall I enjoyed my stay there.

I like our room, it's very neat and with AC however, it was shared bathroom which was not really bad because most of the guest are not always around. I just don't like the location it's far from the restaurants and travel tours that we need to walk 15-20 min just to eat and come back, however they offer pick-up and drop off upon check-in and check-out which was nice about them. For those who knows how to drive motorbike they have for rent as well, I recommend to rent from them for your convenience.

Guests are always complaining for the ff: 1. NO TRANSFERS FROM TERMINAL . (ONLY TRICYCLE CAN PASS THROUGH THE SMALL PATH GOING TO THE ACCOMMODATION) 2. NO AVAILABLE ROOM UPON ARRIVAL EVEN IF YOU ALREADY PAID 3. As per guests check in at Antonio, these are their common feedbacks: STAFFS ARE SURPRISE AS IF THEY ARE NOT AWARE SOMEBODY WILL CHECK IN ON THAT DAY. STAFFS AT THE PROPERTY ARE NOT ACCOMMODATING. Rooms are ok for the rate. But if they cannot improve or even give the right service for the guests, better to look for other accommodation rather than ruining your trip.

Food

When we arrived our booked room was not available (only shared bathroom) for the first night. The other two nights we stayed in a room which was very dark, quite hot. The only window was facing the courtyard which was also quite noisy because of TV Program for almost the whole day. Then staff was friendly and helpful and the food was really good. But there are much better options in El Nido. They just don't appear here at Agoda.
