Most disgusting experiences ever”
I book the hotel by looking the pictures on the Agoda site. But when i reached there, the place was completely opposite so horrible, dirty, no sign board, dark, lots of mosquitoes, untrained dogs.Onwer hasn’t cleaned the hotel, rooms, garden and swimming pool for ages. This is my most disappointing experience ever.Agoda staff should visit that place and check the quality of the place before advert in the booking. Because it is completely cheating with the customer who are going there with hopes and landed with disappointment.

Absolute Worst Place in Asia!!”
Do not book this!!! It is nothing like what the photos show. The trees and bushes have overgrown so much it has become a mosquito breeding grounds. The Ao Nang Pearl Resort is a 2 or 3 minute walk from the main drag.... When we first arrived our taxi driver was chased away by five dogs. The creepy manager is a small Swiss man named Reto. We were the only guests for the three days we were staying. Reto placed us in a room right beside his. We opened up a beer from the minibar which had been skunked so bad it smelled like piss. The five pet dogs barked late into the night and early in the morning. On our second night we found two cockroaches on our bed. Overall worst accomodation experience we had in Thailand. Wifi was excellent though.

Hidden place, seems deserted, lots of mosquitos.”
I feel I may not present a fair reflection of this place as although we booked and paid, we decided to go elsewhere. Firstly, the place is off the main street and was a little hard to find as it isn't sign posted. We wandered to the end of the lane and approached a dirt track where google maps said it was. We thought it was private property but saw that it was actually the resort as we entered. Some dogs immediately started barking at us and then a guy came out and asked what we wanted. When we explained we had booked, so he came over to the "reception" which was more of a disused bar. He was the owner and was friendly enough but in the time we had filled out the check in form we covered in mosquito bites. Coupled with the bad feeling we got of the place we decided to go elsewhere. I'm sure it is fine but it just looked deserted and overgrown.

Complaint ”
I did not stay I the hotel. we arrived at night to a man who shouted at us saying what do you want when the taxi pulled up . 2 dogs off the lead were going crazy, aggressive and barking trying to get in the taxi and I was terrified they were going to bite us. The owner made no attempt to restrain them. The hotel was up a dirt track with no lighting so very intimidating and when I tried to explain to the man we Had a booking he just said what do you want and when I tried to show him my booking he walked off leaving us in a taxi in the dark with 2 dogs barking. I would never in a million years stay in this hotel. Total waste of money as I had to book a far more expensive hotel as we had nowhere to stay Couldn't get a refund even though we travelled from one island to the next just to get there. Disgace

Very pleasant stay with a super friendly owner!”
The owner, the location
I stayed for one night when I first got in to Ao Nang, and I was very happy with my experience. I got in pretty late, and was worried that I wasn't going to be able to get into my room. I saw at the bar there was a number to call, and was able to get ahold of the owner, who let me into my room. We chatted the next morning, and he offered different suggestions about places to go in the area. I don't need much for a room, as long as it's comfortable and affordable. It's located behind the main street, so was relatively quiet, which was nice, and I could get out into the main street when I needed. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay there! Thanks, Reto!
