We really enjoyed our stay at Duangjai Resort. We have never been to Krabi and did our research online to try to figure out what resort we should stay at. I am happy that I found Duangjai Resort! It was like a lovely oasis away from all the hustle and bustle of the busy beach scene of Ao Nang, but very close to both beaches. Our room overlooked the pool and gardens and was very large and comfortable. The salt water pool was so refreshing and just the right temperature. We got a good rate on the room through Agoda and were very happy overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. I would stay here again if we come back to Krabi. The only thing I would recommend is to bring along some incense or essential oils to burn in the room infuser because the rooms can have a musty smell. We did that and kept the fan going all the time and it really helped. But a great place to stay if you have a mid - range budget.

Beautiful hotel with Amazing Staff”
It became our home away from home. Beatifully kept tropical gardens bursting with bromeliads, palms and luscious air plants with graceful long fronds. The pool was well kept and saltwater...we couldn't have asked for a more gracious welcome to the hotel. The meals were made by an excellent kitchen staff...albeit slow, the food came out fabulous (fresh made noodles and delicate grilled fish and coconut milk lopped off from the tree right after we ordered them. So impressed with the hospitality...one of the staff (a lovely thai lady) had taken the time and patience to teach us essential phrases in Thai so we can make our way around the bustling city of Ao Nang beach. We were sad to leave such a wonderful boutique hotel, but should we plan another trip to the Andaman seas, we will be sure to stay with Duangjai Resort again. Amazing Service”
We cannot speak highly enough of Duangjai Resort--a uniquely intimate hotel with all the right personal touches. The staff are warm and helpful and the grounds well kept. Charming tropical plants line the perimeter of the saltwater pool and rooms, the palms provide the shade as the lilting breeze of the Andaman sea lift our spirits. We couldn't be happier and more content with our accommodations while staying there! We will undoubtedly patronize this placid resort should we make it back to Ao Nang in the future.

Peaceful/Great room/Away from the crowds”
My friend and I stayed at Duangjai for two nights. The hotel is very peaceful and pretty, with a large nice pool, cute restaurant area, and great decor. Our room was very nice and plenty big for two; the beds were comfortable and you walk down a couple steps to get to the bathroom, mini-bar, and a cute little private garden in the back. Definitely the nicest room out of all the places we stayed in Thailand. There were only a few rooms occupied when we were there so it was very quiet. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's a 10-15 minute walk the shops, restaurants, and beach in Ao Nang--far enough to escape the crowds and noise but close enough to be able to walk there for dinner, massages, the beach, etc. I highly recommend Duangjai!

A quiet, relaxing hotel”
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 young kids (aged 5 and 10). When we arrived in Krabi, it was the last leg of our trip. We just wanted to do nothing, but relax in Krabi. Therefore, when we picked a hotel in Krabi, we were not looking for a hotel surrounded by restaurant or in front of beach. Instead, we were looking for a queit place but still with easy access to convenience stores and eatries. W were looking for a confortable room with a balcony and a small hotel equipped with child-friendly pool. And, Duangjai Resort fits all of our expectation. The hotel is situated in a quiet alley, but just 2-minute walk can lead you to samll eateries, restaurants and convenience stores. The room we were given is clean and with a big balcony overlooking the pool. The pool is child-friendly. The depth of the pool is suitable both for kids and adults. There are some floating stuffs for kids to use. All in all, we like the hotel.

Good Cozy Hotel”
The hotel is well-priced close enough to Ao Nang beach (about 20 to 30 min walk). The staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service. The rooms are spacious with an outstanding eco-friendly design which makes good use of sunlight and gives the rooms a cozy feeling. The swimming pool is not very large but it is nice. The food is fine and reasonably priced. Overall, the hotel is very basic (nothing luxurious) but it provides residence with more than really needed. The location is a bit off the main road, but it is good enough. The walk to Ao Nang beach from the hotel is very nice and taxis are widely available for only 40 baht to the beach.

GOOD CHOICE FOR BUDGET STAYS”
Took me a couple of days to decide and convince my choice is correct and it turn out to be great resort. It is a 2 level resort stay with lot of greens around and outside the rooms. Mosquito is available for sure but the resort overall is decent facility for couple, families with older kids and people who prefers a quiet resort. Price is value for money. The staff in Duangjai looks very family driven business and they are friendly and informative.

we enjoyed our stay at duangjai hotel. excellent place, very modern design of the hotel. pool is clean and well maintained. the staff is warm and friendly. the rooms are very cozy and we enjoyed every bit at duangjai hotel. we are suggesting a future buffet breakfast though and free transfer to the hotel as part of customer service. but over all it was excellent!

Tucked in a quiet space in Aonang”
Stayed in Duangjai for 3 nights to explore the life in Krabi. Duangjai resort is a resort tucked in the back of a small quiet corner of Aonang area. The resort is pretty nice as it has the concept of a resort garden. Rooms was very huge. It is like a mini suite. It has a small place for you to do cooking as well. Only problem was the mosquitoes. As it has the concept of a garden, mosquitoes was a problem. But you can avoid it in your room by closing the doors once you entered. Mosquitoes repellant inside the room was empty, asked for a new bottle but staff said was used up. Didn't get to change it even after 3 days. But its okay as I knew i had to close the door as soon as i come in or went out. Had morning breakfast every morning, breakfast was good. It has different style of eggs to choose and also bread, milk, orange juice. Pretty standard and nice. Staff was alright and helpful. They have pretty nice pool for you to dip in if you don't want to go to the beach. Went during the low season so practically the resort only had 3 guests. Overall resort was above average.

Value for Money Boutique Resort Stay”
We totally enjoyed our stay here at Duangjai Resort. The room was spacious featuring balcony which was facing the pool and garden, nice backyard, great shower with shower glass which could see through the backyard, which made your shower a little exotic. The room also featured a mini kitchenette. The room was nicely and thoughtfully designed. Besides, we also love the special salt water pool which was never busy, we literally had it all to ourselves. The location of the hotel was also great as it was a little bit deep inside the beach road, which made the stay more peaceful and serene. It was less than 10 minutes' stroll to the beace road for dining and shopping. But, in terms of breakfast the choice was very limited. It would be perfect that the resort can provides more options in breakfast, e.g. Thai fried rice, porridge, noodle, rice with a dish, pancake etc.

Beautiful Natural Surroundings, A Bit Far from Ao Nang Beach”
The title says it all. Duangjai is a calming, relaxing oasis that you return to after a long day of exploring Krabi. The salt water pool is adequate for a wonderful afternoon just swimming and taking in the jungle that it is next to. Most suitable for couples looking for some peace and quiet, but because it is a bit further inside, it may be a bit of a hassle to venture out. Make sure to have good legs and shoes, or you can just ask the tuk tuk next door to drive you around. Clean bathrooms, clean beds, with an indoor garden that brings nature right to you; saw a monitor lizard walking around in the garden! Quite a sight.

Great value during the low season”
We enjoyed staying at Duangjai Resort. The hotel is clean and nice - not a luxury hotel, but fine for our stay. Can't beat the price during the low tourist season (we went in mid October). Nice garden and pool. Some construction on the street but it didn't bother us much. The hotel manager spoke English and was very helpful, she booked various activities for us, including a cooking class, trips to the islands nearby and a taxi to the airport. The breakfast was the same each morning, but it was fine. the town of Ao nang has many, many hotel options so you can find whatever you need. Plenty of restaurants, bars and nice street shops. It is very laid back and only a short boat ride away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

very nice little hotel, with two terraces per room (backyard and front door. clean bathroom, good bed. it takes ten minutes to get to the sea, but there is absolutely no noise around and it is essential for ao nang hotels. breakfast is ok, the pool is clean.

Lovely Hotel ”
I really enjoyed my stay in Duangjai. The rooms where spacious and clean, they have a sea water swimming pool which is great. The hotel is small, and was almost empty when i arrived. They have little amount of rooms, you will feel this more secluded, if you want a peaceful stay. The staff is always smiling and offering a kind service.

A slice of peace”
We loved our stay at duangjai. It's such a beautiful little oasis in the midst of the bustle. All of the rooms have an outdoor area/deck overlooking the beautiful gardens and pool. So nice that it's small and friendly. Right now there's construction work going on next door, so if you don't like a small amount of building noise, it'd be best to avoid just now. Didn't bother us at all.

Quiet hotel in a good location”
Hotel nearby were of the same prices as searched on agoda but they are either without complimentary internet or breakfast. This resort has both and is much quieter! After a few days, staff know your preferences by hard and that's personalised! This resort also practises saving the earth, towels were only changed once every 2 days, this is good enough for me and my wife as who changes towels daily at home anyway! Loved the location as it's not too far away yet quiet from ao nang beach area.

Nice little hotel in quiet but handy location”
This is a good little 3 star hotel very handy to all that Ao nang has to offer. Good facilities, though as we were the only guests there at the time of our 2 night stay breakfast was served as all that was on the menu and was ok. Just outside and around the corner are tour operators, bike hire, laundry, restaurants etc. Beware the tour operators, they really are out to rip off the farangs bug time. But the hotel was good value for money and room was nice size. Staff speak very little English but were polite & helpful.

We had a quick check in however an issue with the transfer we requested. We requested an airport transfer to the hotel two days before via email twice with no reply. We then called the day before to confirm this was booked. When we arrived at the airport no one was there & called again. After half an hour we eventually got our own cab.When we arrived at the hotel they tried to charge us for a cab they sent which didn't appear.After explaining a few times and pushing back they looked into it to find their cab had been booked for the wrong time. The hotel staff are ok.We had an issue with the room safe which took an additional two hours to get fixed as the guy fixing was then given another job. The hotel manager seemed a bit insincere when trying to be friendly. Saying this the rooms were massive, the pool was clean and the hotel is a closer than the other reviews say. It's a leisurely 15 minutes walk to Ao Nang beach, nowhere near half an hour and with all the nightlife it's nice to be set back from this.

Great Place to Rest & Relax!”
This is a great place to rest and relax because it is located in the quieter part of Ao Nang beach. The hotel is surrounded by trees & bushes, and some deserted wasteland. The hotel amenities includes a nice pool with jaccuzi, a small gym and a nice outdoor dining area with lots of nice landscaping. Staff are very friendly and helpful. However, communicating in English would be a problem with the chamber maids and waiters/waitress coz they can't really speak English. Only the receptionist can make decent conversation in English. The American Buffet Breakfast is tasty, but not much variety. Only setback about this hotel is the location. The street lights leading to the hotel from the main road is very dim and it's a good 15mins walk to the main road.
