“Value if you get a deal but breakfast was poor”
Very nice welcome on arrival. We paid just under £*** a night including breakfast and that's about what it was worth to us. Room was spacious. Connecting door appeared secure as each room only had a handle on their door and then couldn't get beyond that. We were on the ground floor at the back and the patio doors looked like they could very easily be broken in to. Fabulous location for getting down to the beach and local boats. Very bad location in terms of night noise. On our second night there was a live band playing nearby blasting out music until 2am We now know that the breakfast is taking in the adjoining Italian restaurant which is not directly part of the hotel. It was not good at all. Very surly man who barely looked up. Badly designed buffet area. Many health concerns. Fruit was left out with no tongs and kids were putting their hands in to grab pieces. Again no tongs for the bread and we saw people pick it up and then put it back. Hot buffet was mainly Asian foods plus hot dog style sausages and scrambled and fried egg. The serving spoons were small compared to the hot trays so they slipped down onto the food, another area for contamination. Cereal in very deep jars that you had to put your hand right inside to reach the spoon to serve yourself. Only coffee was Nescafe sachets in spite of evidence of a proper coffee machine. In general the place was not clean at all, the backs of the chairs looked like they had never been wiped down. I'd suggest getting the room for a lower price and eating elsewhere.
