We stayed for four nights and I have to say this APA hotel was fantastic. Let me tell you: 1- Both sides entrance to the Hotel will take you to the train station. We preferred walking from the main front entrance and walk straight down for 5 minutes to NAMBA STATION to Exit 11. Whenever you are coming back on train also exit through 11. The best and easiest way. The other way Underground option to us was confusing a little. 2- The check-in was easy. You will be asked to look for your reservation under your name at the kiosk. You will be asked to scan your Passport and provide names and passports for anyone staying with you. If you are prepaid then keys will be issued and if you go to your room. 3- The room is small but with two of us we managed well. Under the bed storage for your bags. The amenities in the room are incredible. Refrigerator, tooth brushes, 2 shaving raisers, coffee and tea, slippers, coffee maker and more. Water pressure great. Also I have to say we did not hear any sounds from next door or anyone above us. 4- This Hotel has 2000 rooms and 16 elevators. Sometimes their is a line to catch an elevator but they go fast. 5- There is 7/11 on 4th floor. Also on 4th floor there is laundry machines. Do yours early morning or late at night they get busy. NOTE ( Machines take coins in 100 yen only) and 7/11 does not make change. BUT, if you scan the bar code on the machine you can download an app called AQ Connect. You can use your wallet or Google pay to charge machine fees. So when you are ready to wash just load the machine and on your app click on scan, choose the desired time for wash or dry, accept and pay. The machine will start. You can do same to more than one machine. Your app will have a count down on each machine and how much time left. 6- There is Onsen and hot bath on 4th floor as well. We did not try. But they are open in the early morning until 10 AM. They re-open in the evening. 7- 7/11 is your savior. Whenever you are hungry there are plenty of choices and we loved it. The quality is very good. 24 hours. They take all type of payments. Credur cards, Cash, google pay, Suica and other IC cards. 8- Don't forget to go to the 40th floor. The views are amazing. Relax and enjoy with your loved one until 10 PM. Pool open during summer only. Also the buffet located on 40th floor and I have to say it was decent. Not too much variety but quality was good. 8- plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance, 5 minutes or so. Dotonbori is not really that far, 10 minutes walk depending on you. FINAL NOTE: If you are coming to Osaka for first time and you will be using trains often, you will also be walking. Train stations are huge and you will be doing a great deal if walking and locating trains and exits. Wear very comfortable shoes. Rest when you are tired. Don't get frustrated as we did trying to find our train. You will remember my words. Get ready for crowds. In Japan it's disrespectful to eat or drink while you are walking. If you want to eat or drink, find a corner and do it. Carry plastic bag with you to keep trash. There are no garbage cans on the streets. DO NOT DISPOSE OF TRASH ON THECSTREETS. ALSO, If you go into a store or market, grab a bottle of water or soda, or candy etc...PLEASE don't consume, drink or eat unless you pay for them first. If you do so, it's considered "shoplifting" believe me we found out that the hard way and we're given a lesson by the manager because I opened a bottle of water and drank it, then at the cash register trying to pay for it all hell broke loose. Manager was called, we apologized and told us not to do it anywhere else or the police might be called. Wow!!! Enjoy your stay.
