Nice place to relax for the most part!”
We are an American couple traveling to Takamatsu for the first time. The APA Hotel seems to be more designed for Japanese business travelers. However, we found the bed to be comfortable, the facilities to be good, and the location to be pretty good as well. There is an excellent coffee shop located within 5 minutes walking and plenty of restaurants/shopping around as well. My husband is taller, so the small bathroom was especially small. The room was pretty small as well, but the bed was comfortable and big enough for two, there was a desk, and a TV. Maybe more channels or instructions in English for the remote control? The breakfast was okay. I would suggest going out if you did not get it included with the room.
Close to shopping street”
Close to famous restaurant and shopping street. One station from Takamatsu station.
Great location and lovely staff”
I had a very nice two-night stay here. The staff were quite friendly and eager to help. They let me borrow a bicycle. The breakfast--included in the room--was quite good for being free. Overall I was very happy.
Location is a little difficult to get to, but when there it is good location, close to covered walkway and restaurants. Good size rooms with large twin beds, consistent with Japan no top sheets! Breakfast was a surprise, good quality of both Japan/western and quantity.
Good value for money. Close to train station.”
Small rooms and no onsen, if compared to tokyo APA sugamo i stayed earlier before i travelled to Takamatsu, but good quality room. Access for hotel is quite compromised, however, with first floor elevator is located out of sight and no room card varification unlike big city APA. It was still under consrtuction so it might be better. This might also be the reason why the rooms are pretty cheap when i went, but the construction did not effect my stay since they start at 11 am.
About 15 minute walk from JR Takamatsu Station. You can walk along the Shotengai. The room and bathroom are small, typical business hotel in Japan. All amenities are there and the room is pretty clean.
Simple clean hotel”
Really enjoyed the stay, surprised to have a massage chair in our room, fridge and general typical room facilities very good. Does what it says on the tin.. didn't sample the breakfast but looked comprehensive. Would stay again.
I have spent one night at this hotel on business. The room was a typical Japanese business hotel size (small, but all you need is accomodated). Especially, there was a very friendly waitress serving the breakfast. She was so nice and friendly that I had a great time having the breakfast and chat with her.
It is close to the shopping zone and close to the local train station.
Quite far from the station.”
good expenience, ,good location”
Near center point if city
good location with shopping and dining”
Cheap stay ”
The Front staff are very polite and welcoming. The room was very small but it's better than staying a capsule hotel as you just pay extra 1-2000 yen, then you can have your own room. Free breakfast is good. Great for budget travelers.
Good location but a little dark at night”
The hotel was quite clean, but felt old. It's situated near Kawaramachi station, but the walk from the station to the hotel at night can be a little quiet and dark. Hotel staff was friendly. Breakfast was so-so.
It only takes 5 mins to the subway station
