Cool place, nice people”
Good for a break. Came here with my girlfriend. Nice 4 foot deep pool, nice porch to hang out on, a desk and all the things you thought you miss from home. I did find myself hunting mosquitos, sometimes it would turn into an obsession! Where the hell are they coming from?!!! Anyway, that is just a Cambodian coastal thing. Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but shake the curtains at night, and your towel and they come out! SUckers are freggin' fast --and smart! Oh, and a lot of fat beer drinking old-farts doing the sexpat thing. I do recommend this place and I enjoyed the staff and my stay.

We stayed in Apex for one night to take a rest travelling between Thailand and Cambodia. The room was dirty and full of insects, bathroom door wouldn't close and the lock on the main door was really hard to operate, and the windows could be easily opened from the outside. We tried to book an onward ticket from Koh Kong via the reception and were given different prices when they changed staff. We ended up just going to the bus station and getting a ticket there, needless to say, it was much cheaper there.

I stayed at another hotel the first night I was there and decided it was worth it to spend the extra few dollars at Apex instead as had stayed there before and it is nice. Room was good except no blanket on the bed. Turn on AC too cold,turn off too hot. Nice room though. Staff were mainly friendly.

This is a nice guesthouse in a good location for Koh Kong. The pool is a lovely touch after hot days out in the jungle and trekking. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. However this guesthouse is tired and needs some work, from lights needing to be fixed to toilets needing updating. All in all though it was a comfy stay, I would recommend an AC room, we stayed in a fan one night and AC the next as the fan didnt quite cut it.

DONT STAY HERE”
THIS PLACE IS DIRTY AND THE SWIMMING POOL IS DIRTY AND IS MAKING PEOPLE ILL AND IS NORMALLY ONLY HALF FILLED WITH DIRTY WATER
THE WIFI IS REALLY WEAK WITH NORMALLY NO SIGNALL AT ALL.
AND THE CABLE TV HAS ONLY 2 ENGLISH CHANNELS ON IT AND AS THERE IS'NT A LOT TO DO IN KOH KONG IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A CABLE SERVICE WITH MANY PROGRAME'S ON IT LIKE MANY OTHER HOTELS IN KOH KONK HAVE.
OR AT LEAST TO HAVE A WIFI CONNECTION SO YOU CAN WATCH STREAMING VIDEOS/MOVIES
aLSO THE TV SETS ARE FROM THE LATE 90s NOT THE FLAT SCREEN'S YOU NOW GET IN OTHER SIMALAR PRICED HOTELS

The room is normal size. The light in the room is dim. The ceiling is leaking water. Small steps. Smirky swimming pool. The staff tried to charge me extra than what stated in Agoda statement. Good when I arrive at the hotel a day late, reservation was reserved for me (I called them in advance to arrange a day late). However, for $8.5/night where else can you the price?

Friendly hotel with pool on quiet street”
Friendly staff and manager, were helpful with sorting out travel arrangements for me and advice on the area. Bar next door is chilled and friendly, noise is not really intrusive. Pool is great and hotel is nicely designed with big rooms, a few renovations here and there would bring it up to an excellent standard again. Wifi a little bit hit and miss depending on room. Town is explorable by foot, can walk to waterfront, or hire motorbike for trips further afield. Good value for money.

A real gem”
Friendly place, nice sized rooms,very clean and comfortable. Fridge, TV, free wifi, nice shower and water heater. THe pool is big enough, and clean, and has a cover that goes over the whole building. Good cheap food and drinks too. Located not too far from the river.

If you are heading to Kow Kong & need to stopover for a night before either heading out to Koh Kong Island or onto Thailand via the close border crossing then this is a great option for a night stopover. Very reasonably priced, the restaurant serves tasty meals at reasonable prices and quickly. The hotel also can arrange tours in and around the Koh Kong area and transport to Koh Kong Island.

Excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Apex The pool was outside our room and the restaurant was a couple of meters away which had good food and good service. We will stay here again.

The room was good and the hotel is in a good location. You couldnt beat it for the price. The only problem was that one of the staff members was asleep and the other few times i seen him about he seemed a bit angry and like he couldnt be bothered working. It didnt bother me but a smile would have been good.

pleasant hotel with unfortunately a quite shabby lobby, a general cleaning and repaint would do the job and invite more guests and bookings.
staff is great, swimming pool a big plus, it is even spotlessly clean!
rates are low but you end up paying a lot more since the breakfast is quite expensive and therefore not included.
the pub next door play extremely loud music until 3 in the morning - if you want to sleep before, do not forget to bring earplugs!
general impression is positive.

Pros: Good location, value for money, nice pool and strong wifi.
Cons: The staff not really friendly and unhelpful, thay do not clean the room everyday. It is probably clean when you check-out, restaurant at hotel is a bit expensive but if you walk to the corner there are so many nicer and better restaurants around. Cool shower, broken furniture.
Note: "You get what you pay for" and please make sure the window lock correctly. I've heard the staff (male)try to knock the door the clients room (2 girls)at night. It was published online but in Thai language.

Great hotel in Koh Kong”
The position is nice, not far from the market and the riverside. Plus, it's very nice that everyone in town seems to know this place, so it's easy to ask for directions. The staff is helpful and friendly. The pool is really nice and clean, and it's also covered by a high roof: it lets the air flow but still covers the pool in case of rain. The room was quite humid but it's probably nobody's fault. The bathroom was ok, with a glass wall separating the shower from the wc (very useful not to flood everything every time).

No pool as advertised noisey staff early in the morning”
The thing that intrested me about this hotel was the swiming pool.
For the week i booked the room it was only useable for 2 days the rest of the time it was unusable .
And by the end of the week it was actually emtied of water alltogether.
Also the cleaning staff wake you up with the calling to each other for this and that this starts at about 8am.
The best thing about this place is the cook the food is great especially the cambodian curry.
