Great experience! I would book again. ”
We didn’t actually go on Aphrodite. We were bumped to Hera Cruise (sane companY?), which we were told was a better option (who knows). We went on the 2-day and 1-night cruise which was perfect timing for us! We loved Ha long Bay and while the crowds are there we expected it. We loved the cruise, which included activities and water (in room!). Beer was about 60 dong, water 40 dong and wine/cocktails more euro/American prices. I thought the food was incredible and well worth it. What I didn’t like was the steep differences in prices that people paid. We booked ahead and then families/ couples who booked last minute through their hotels paid far less and had a transfer included. We found someone who paid $150 with transfer from Hanoi then got bumped to our cruise and we paid $320 plus $110 transfer. It’s definable still worth it with the prize we paid but so disappointing when we are basically paying for other people’s fun, hmmm.

Exceptional”
Took up the 2d1n on Aphrodite Cruises. The cruise/tour/view was an amazing experience and was further enhanced as we happen to have clear blue skies and a fog-less night! The itinerary was jammed packed and kept us on our feet most of the time. The only thing was the short trip on the 2nd day whereby we were only allotted 1 hour to do both hill climb and beach (this time was further shortened because the island opened late so we had less time on the beach). On the cruise, the room was spacious, clean and had a nice ambient to it (our first cruise), only con with the room was that the bathtub didn't really work as expected, it felt like it was placed there for the sake of it but didn't really work as expected. The food was delicious, nice and well presented. The staff was very helpful, charismatic and informative. Overall a very well structured cruise that's safe and pleasant to be on. Highly recommended.

Great staffs and Best Food Onboard”
Aphrodite Cruises' staffs were amazing, friendly, and kind. They even gave us a cake for our member that celebrating his birthday onboard. We were lucky that the weather was really good for our 2D1N trip. Aphrodite cruise serves one of the best food we have ever tasted in Vietnam, totally 5-stars. The cabin and toilet was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only drawback was the activities (cave and bamboo boat) were too short and the Halong bay view from surprising cave was just so so. Great trip and we enjoyed it.

We got such a stellar deal from agoda and Aphrodite didn’t disappoint at all! There’s a reason why their rating is truly the best! We loved the attention to detail everyone in the crew had (just a minor mashup with my food but was cleared right away). The food was EXCELLENT! And we loved that they do the room cleanup every meal time it seemed like magic to return to fixed room every single time! Tip tho— to save on $$ get a shuttle ride from old quarter versus booking the limo service (tho that was such a treat! Loved it!). If you take the shuttle bus it’s 50% less but make sure you get details on pick up for return to Old Quarter. Don’t even hesitate getting this cruise when in Hanoi— it’s a must and Aphrodite is the best provider there is. Just the right size for a boat and right number of guests to have personalized service. Ask about the activities tho especially if you have challenges walking and going up— the Tiptop (?) trip wasn’t well received by our co-travelers. I sat that one out since I was sleepy. The cave trip and the lagoon one were very very nice tho! Must try! Happy cruising!

Fantastic cruise”
Aphrodite cruise was one of the few that have a triple room so we booked with them. Responsive to questions when asked. Arrival at their cruise terminal was very good. Brand new private terminal with waiting room. Their boat was beautiful one of the biggest boat in the bay. Room was big and clean. Bathtub was curvy for jacuzzi so very difficult to shower in it. Food was really good. Kudos to the Chef, the dinner was individually cooked. Our steak was delicious. All the meals were fantastic. The trips off the boat were fun and we were well taken care of. The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. Jackie our manager was so good. Really caring. Highly recommended. Upon return, they informed our transport which we booked ourselves had arrived. Everything was so professional and yet so friendly. Thank you Aphrodite.

Everything exceeded expectations”
The price made me skeptical, but this cruise is a 5 star experience that is worth every cent. Having come from half-ass hotels in Hanoi and Sapa, I wasn’t expecting much, but the staff, food and excursions were just amazing. Do the two night cruise - on the second day they take you to secluded areas of the bay. It was literally just my partner and I kayaking at the fishing village, right before we dined on the day boat, opening with oysters and seafood as entree . Lunch and dinner are 5 course meals. I’m a pescatarian and instead of the gross vegan/gluten free/dairy free meals I’m normally served, they gave me fresh seafood and the like. What made me feel really special was they made a special effort to make sure I never ate the same dish twice. Staff speak great English and are extremely kind, enthusiastic and helpful. They remembered my partner and I by name. And a plus for Vietnam - the room/bathroom was immaculate and has all Western comforts like soap. Thank you Aphrodite!

Amazing stay in halong bay”
Amazing scenery, amazing food, amazing staff, everything very well organised! We were in room 104 i think, the 'basic' option which was absolutely fine! Large bed, windows out to halong bay and ensuite, very clean and comfortable. We felt aphrodite showed us halong bay away from the large groups of tourists when they could ehicj made the experience all the better. Thank you Aphrodite Cruise.

Exceptional”
I would definitely recommend Aphrodite Cruises. The staff is so sweet and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the beds are wonderful. The food is absolutely fantastic. They serve a five course meal for both lunch and dinner. They even served every course at our room, on the balcony. Would recommend 3D2N. The second day you get to go to the less crowded areas in Halong Bay; kayaking in the fishing village and go to a private beach - where there's noe one else. Absolutely worth every penny.

Complimentary upgrade to the Hera Cruise”
We were notified of a complimentary upgrade from our cabin on the Aphrodite to a cabin on the Hera Cruise, a younger sister of the Aphrodite. We were a little leary as we had spent a lot of time researching all the cruise options, but we were in for a very pleasant surprise. The boat, our room, the staff and the food were above and beyond amazing! The boat normally holds 22 passengers, we had 6 passengers total and the attentive staff were nothing short of phenomenal! (Big thanks especially to Kenny G, who was our host and tour guide extraordinaire!) We would highly recommend this company, especially our experience with the Hera Cruise and staff.

Excellent stay, stunning views”
Despite all the horrifying tales happening to the boats (Don't cheap out on this one. It's safety we're talking abt), we enjoy our trip a lot. As Aphrodite is on regular maintenance, we were upgraded to Hera and had a spacious room (50 sq m) with a huge balcony. The food was exquisitely plated and tasted good in general. The room was spotless and the staff was friendly and helpful. Actually, it feels great to be on the cruise, but the excursions to the Sung Sot Cave, Titop island and Luon Cave are slightly less pleasant because of the huge crowds, sometimes with no manner whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, those sites are beautiful and very interesting. I just think the government should really control the number of boats that go in the vicinity every day, and the number of people landing on each island each hour to preserve the nature and make it a pleasant experience for everyone.

Wonderful cruise, lovely staff”
We loved our cruise on the Aphrodite. The staff went out of their way to ensure that every request or need was attended as quickly and smoothly as possible. The area the cruise travels is stunning, there were many boats, as expected. Sadly some of the tourists were very pushy and quite rude at the stops that all the boats make - caves, bamboo boats and Ti Top island. This made the sights a. It unpleasant, but if you can overlook that then it is a great way to enjoy the spectacular beauty of the region. Jackie, Minh, Helen and the team we’re all really lovely although not all guests onboard treated them with the respect they deserved. We loved our cruise and thank the team for a memorable experience!

Perfect choice”
I have been on Halong Bay Cruises before with mixed success but the Aphrodite was my very best choice. Attractive boat, very clean and comfortable, efficient and friendly staff and fabulous food. There were three of us traveling, the weather was rainy and misty but we had a great time. The misty conditions made it more atmospheric and the boat and its crew more than made up for it. Phillip deserves a particular mention as he looked after us extremely well, with charm and humor. Excellent experience and I would unconditionally recommend it.

Everything Tip-Top!”
Staff is extremely hospitable, food is amazing, room is very clean and well furnished, the open deck is also very inviting. Love how the cruise gave me & my boyfriend very much needed privacy and not over crowded. I did not regret choosing Aphrodite Cruise (actually, i was placed in Hera Cruise I guess they are sister-company or so). Was contemplating if I should splurge on this cruise, but, needless to say, it was all worth-it!

The cruise is well organised and the food were well plated and tasted great. The premium van we booked came on time as promised, and the seats were comfortable and even had wifi onboard. Two fantastic days in Halong Bay”
We went for the 3 days 2 nights cruise with Aphrodite, and had a really lovely time. The first night there was a big group on board, and we were the only couple who was not a part of the group. The staff set up a table for us outside on the balcony, and we got propper VIP treatment. The second day the group left, and we were the only ones going off on a day boat. We loved having the ship to ourselves, laying on deck, cruising around the bay, kayaking and visiting the fishing village. We were pleased we stayed for 2 nights, and felt the second day was the most rewarding. The food on board was amazing, a full 5 course meal for lunch AND dinner. We left with a few kilograms extra :)
