Wyndham Apollo”
The hotel is nicely situated at the waterfront with superb views to one of the channels. It's located a couple of miles south but it wasn't a problem for us. The number 5 tram stops nearby and takes you to the heart of the city or a couple of stops south to Amsterdam Zuid train station. From the outside it looks more like an old-fashioned congress center. However the inside is really nice and modern. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. Bathroom was fully equipped and immaculate. The hotel had very helpful staff which did make the stay enjoyable.
Comfortable hotel with friendly service”
located in a quiet neighborhood within 15 minutes walk from the rai convention center, the beatrix park and minutes from the nearest tram stop to amsterdam or to the amsterdam zuid station that allows access to the national rail system. the service is excellent and the attendants treat you as a vip. at busy times of the day, there is little back-up for the front desk so occasionally extended wait was necessary. however, when it is your turn, the staff shows great patience and will not short-change your service because they are busy. in room amenities are more than adequate though a little renewal bathroom stalls would further enhance the comfortable stay.
Lovely hotel ”
Myself and my partner visited this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff were really friendly throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious clean and modern as was the hotel. The hotel is situatied about a 5 minute walk from the nearest tram line which takes you in to the centre of Amsterdam. The trams ran very regularly and we both said we could prefer to stay in a nice hotel and travel into the centre than stay in the centre of Amsterdam. This hotel was perfect for us and we would defiantly come back again!
Great hotel, friendly staff, large clean room.”
My wife and I stayed here for 13 nights in total and loved it. The locals were very friendly as were the staff. We only had one problem with our room key which expired and we forgot to get it updated with the three extra nights we added. The staff sorted it out easily in a few minutes. Loved the hotel and will return for sure. Loved Amsterdam too and will return. A word of warning about walking around Amsterdam: beware of the trams and bikes which seem to come at you from all angles! That said, everything you want is there from delicious food to reasonably priced beer with an amazing range to choose from and coffee shops if you want something stronger! There is always lots of street performers in the Leidseplein area too. Check out the Chinese restaurant - think it's called Asian Kitchen - it's nearby the Leidseplein area (next to a cinema.
The most luxurious stay on our trip through Europe”
Thank you Apollo hotel and staff for treating us like royalty, giving us an amazing room over the Christmas period and surprising us with little gifts on Christmas Day. We felt so pampered staying with you and we hope to be back!
quite canal view hotel”
hotel is off the tourist places but close enough by street trams. front desk were helpful and the breakfast area offers nice views to the canal. overall, I had a wonderful stay at the apollo hotel.
Nice, affordable and comfortable place to stay ”
We enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Apollo Hotel Amsterdam. We were greeted by friendly staff who allowed us to check-in early. The room was very spacious and the view was very nice. The water pressure from the shower was also lovely.
Great canal views”
rather far from city center, but not a problem if you enjoy quite accommodation and walking. many amenities: rental of bikes, scooters, boats in the summer. and friendly staff through out the whole hotel. a relaxed way to explore amsterdam.
Excellent location and nice surroundings”
IIt was a great stay at a hotel with an excellent location. It is in the city center, yet in clean and quiet surroundings of the best part of amsterdam. They rent bikes and scooters allowing you to access Amsterdam easily and at your own pace at relatively low cost. The rooms are clean and have every convenience you get in the 5 star hotels. I will be coming back for sure.
Comfortable feeling, nice view on river ”
I only stayed for one night, but felt comfortable and would have loved to spend a little more time in the hotel and explore the surroundings. The hotel is not very close to the busy city centre, why it is quit. Within about 15min easy to heart of Amsterdam with public transport. The national museum (Rijksmuseum) and van Gogh museum on 15min walking distance.
Very confortable stay”
The stay in this hotel was very pleasant. Coming from a busy place like India, it seems very quite and peacefull. It's very close to the tramway which will carry you around Amsterdam to any site of interest.
Lovely hotel, location wasn't great.”
Lovely large room, very happy with the room itself. I read a review before booking saying trams run right outside and this made me book. The trams are not right outside and around 10 min walk to stops which is fine once you know how to find them and if you are not alone at night. The price was very good compared to hotels in the centre, so overall I was still happy. The hotel food was expensive and being remote there was not many options to just pop out to get something else very easily.
Exceptional”
The amenities look great but we didn’t take advantage. The hotel had great customer service. We were able to borrow an umbrella when it was forecasted to rain. We were able to store bags prior to leaving for the airport. The location is a bit further out than the main touristy items but it is easy to get to places via walking or the tram. The room was clean and spacious. I would recommend this hotel.
great stay”
it was a great stay. it was relaxing as the hotel is outside the noisy area of amsterdam. you can enjoy sleeping after drinking session in the central
Great hotel, friendly staff, fast internet”
The staff were friendly and we had a really nice time. We liked Amsterdam so much that we booked for another three nights to add to the ten nights already booked. We will definitely go back and stay in the same hotel. It's on the banks where 5 canals merge and is very scenic. there's lots of opportunities to feed the ducks and geese or just sit next to a canal and relax.
Good Hotel on Good Location”
This hotel has modern and good rooms. It is in a good location, not in the busy city centre, but close enough to get you there in 10 mins. The staff is very friendly and efficient. And lastly... if you like good food/wine; the restaurant is excellent!
Great views”
The hotel offers great views when having a room overlooking the water. In the summer, the terrace is lovely and one can sit there for a while watching boats go by. Breakfast is excellent, all in all, great value for money.
Nice hotel away from busy city, with nice canal v”
The hotel has very nice canal view. I asked for the room with canal view but unfortunately it was not available. However, the room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. It would be great if the shutter bus service between Schipol Airport and the hotel was clearly stated in the booking information.
Excellent”
Excellent value in a well appointed all inclusive hotel outside of the core, yet at a 30 minute walk from the centre, close to the artsy/hip area with its cafes, bars and restaurants. Close to public transportation and to RAI train station where you can access the airport.
Great Hotel”
Our stay was very enjoyable thanks to great staff and a very nice hotel. The room was larger than expected with bath and shower. Bar was very nice, with comfortable seating area outside looking over the canals.
