Leonardo Hotel is located on Vredenburg in the heart of Utrecht. You step out of the hotel, turn left and the next tiny lane left again akes you right to Oudegracht where there is pulsating life in the evening with tons of shops, restaurants bars and cafés. Nice to know for cyclists like me: just walk 50 meters straight on from the hotel, directly on Vredenburg, there is a free public bike garage which is open and guarded 24/7...perfect place to leave your bike overnight if you're paranoid it might be stolen. I had a nice spacious room on the 3rd floor with a balcony that faced the busy intersection of Vredenburg and St. Jacobsstraat, so it was everything but quiet. But the view from the balcony with a cold beer on the table was a nice way to close the day before hitting the sack. And the personnel was friendly, too. I would totally stay there again.

Conveniently location near the centraal Station and Hood Catherijne Mall. Shopping and dining are plenty. Opp is Starbucks, beside it is KFC. Across is Decathlon. ”
Bed is comfy. Room temperature is just nice. There is refreshing lemon + mint water and biscuits at the lobby. Bicycles are available for rental.

Old Hotel with nice staff”
The staff were very helpful, but the hotel is old and tired. I got a single room and there was a bed, TV and small table. Bed was very soft mattress, TV didn't work (they did fix it), safe in cupboard was analogue and really old, but didn't work, they tried many times to fix but were unable. The big window didn't have a safety catch so the window opened fully (dangerous on the 5th floor). Also only 1 lift in the building.

I will stay here again if they replace all front desk staffs”
Great location! Just that. Only that. Nothing else to shout about. The front desk staffs are not friendly except for one or two of them. They give us the impression that we are doing them a favor by staying at their hotel. By the way, the hotel is not called Apollo anymore. It's called Leonardo. So confusing. If you can't find the hotel, look for Decathlon and Leonardo is just opposite the road of Decathlon.

The location is good, just a 7-8 mins walk from the Utrecht station and it is walkable to different attractions in the city. However, it confused me that they actually changed the name of the hotel so I cannot locate the hotel location since the name shown on google map is totally different! This was ridiculous to ask the guests to look around and search for your hotel with big luggage because you did not inform them that the hotel name was changed. There was a staircase at the entrance and no staff will come to help. I was also badly disappointed with the room, it was totally different from the photos here. Totally out of my expectations. Luckily I was only staying for one night or else I will change to another hotel for sure. The room is aged, the bed is small, the toilet is old too. Worst hotel I have stayed in during my one month trip around Europe. I don't feel the room is safe and clean. Please go somewhere else if you are planning to stay in Utrecht.

Good location but some notes ”
Really central location, right across street from De Bikenkorf shopping store and a daily local market, also near Aldi. Transit stops nearby to get to train station easily too. Hotel itself - individual room are decent size and I was selected as a VP guest for a day so I got a free breakfast and 2 drinks. Overall staff are nice and pleasant. However, my notes - I had one dirty towel but they gave me a lot of towels in compensation after I told them and walls are pretty thin. I could actually hear a guest snoring. Lol. They provide ear plugs but I would be mindful if you are a sensitive sleeper, maybe get a garden view and go higher up? I was on 4th floor facing street and I could still hear people but I am a deep sleeper so it didn’t bother me too much.

This hotel offered a perfect location near the train station and short walk to the centre. It was great value for money for a quadruple room. You can add breakfast but lots of places to eat nearby. No bar. Was a little noisy at the start of the night as we were facing the main st but that was only for a short time. Would stay again.

Front desk staff service is excellent ”
We arrived very early and the front desk staff was willing to arrange an early check in. Furthermore, we can store the luggage at the hotel and freely use the hotel lounge while we were waiting for the check in. It’s very good for a family with a child. Thanks for the excellent service.

Helaas is de enige vegan optie bij het ontbijt jam en sojamelk. Met het verse fruit hebben we ons prima gered, maar was het bedrag niet waard. Wel superligging en prima en schone hotelkamer. Als vegan zou ik dus zonder ontbijt boeken.

Het ligt in centrum tegenover Hoog Caterijne. Winkelcentrum Ook midden in de stad. Leuke markten voor de deur, en horecagelegenheden genoeg. Hier zullen wij nog eens heen gaan.
