Room are so bad...asked for room change 3 times...almost walked out due to the state of the rooms..”
Some rooms smelt of cigerrate...some poorly presented ...dirty linen..old kettles...tv remote not working had to be replaced...some lights not working...poorly maintained
Will definitely be coming back ”
For £35 a head it was amazing value and the staff were so friendly. Rooms great size, bit odd they put us in a 5 bed room when there was only 4 of us and strange the rooms had a connecting door but only one bathroom, and also was not told you need to do a £100 deposit on check in. Other than that pure quality.
We chose this hotel as it was recently refurbished n it was quite close to the University of Birmingham Housekeeping was inconsistent We had to change the kettle twice as it was not working They finally gave us a new one The box of tissues was empty when we checked in There was no mini fridge which was really inconvenient Only advantage is the parking n the room doors n windows r facing inwards away from the traffic noise
Room itself was OK but didn't like the "chalet" type accommodation. Not a hotel feel”
Felt like staying in individual flats not a hotel. Room's are chalet type rooms.
Stayed 1 night for business trip. Reception is modern, staff friendly and helpful on check in. Rooms are very clean but basic. Bathroom was small but also clean. I had a hissing radiator in my room all night, but easily fixed by turning it off. Numerous restaurants close by argentine steak house, Akbar curry, TGIF, Ask, Garden House, Beefeater , all within 2 mi walk. Would stay again
Nice room and facilities”
good quality modern room, with kettle, iron, hairdryer and a small television with a limited number of domestic and international tv channels.
Nice hotel lovely rooms”
Overall this is a very nice hotel centrally located close to the city centre an many other attraction and the rooms are clean an the staff are very friendly an the breakfast has variety i would stay here again
An ok place, decent value for money”
The Hotel was fairly basic and the rooms seemed a bit like flats converted, we had a random house door on our room. The staff were friendly and helpful giving advice on cabs and buses to Birmingham centre. Nothing massively exciting about the hotel. The parking was free. This was just a stop off point for us, so there were not any reasons for a more than basic stay.
Rooms are spacious. But the TV is obsoletely old. A flat screem would fit the room very well
the location was great close to the botanical gardens. the staff where friendly and helpful. the room was clean but the décor and fittings where tired. breakfast was slow but the food was fine. would stay here again if in the area.
Just what I neded”
the location was great close to the place i was visiting. the staff where friendly and helpful. the room was clean but the décor was a bit tired. breakfast was a bit hectic but the food was fine. would stay here again if in the area.
on arrival staff friendly. rooms clean. bath aswell as shower in rooms. on the main road so easy to get to wherever you want to go
Clean hotel with friendly staff”
Hotel stay was pleasant enough, reasonably priced, large rooms
Good for a night as price was good, quite far out of city, clean, furnishings worn, bed lumpy and deco dated but I liked it, it could be really lovely.
Value for money”
Overall I was pleased, it was value for money for the type of room. I stay in many hotels through the year, all around the world and I thought it was OK for the UK. Good accommodation in the UK can be quite expensive. You don't normally get much for less than 50.00 GBP, this was 30.00 per night including the full english!
The Apollo Hotel, Birmingham”
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very clean rooms. Great food. Quiet location within easy reach of the city.
