Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Service”
i stayed in this hotel with my wife and 5 year old daughter. i booked a deluxe double room but the hotel owner upgraded me to a room with 1 queen-size bed and a single bed upon seeing my daughter. very considerate, helpful and friendly hotel staff. the hotel room is clean as well. the balcony of my room could see the beautiful view of xuan guang temple (玄光寺). i traveled from taichung high speed rail station to sun moon lake by bus. the bus stopped at shui she area (水社) of sun moon lake. the hotel is 4 minutes walking distance from the bus station. the location of this hotel is very convenient as it is close to shui she harbour where tourists take sightseeing boats. 7-11 is right opposite the hotel, plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops around this area. the breakfast provided by the hotel was not up to my expectation, but no problem getting breakfast nearby. all of us enjoyed staying in this hotel very much.

Great resort hotel”
This hotel blew me off my head. what an awesome scenery of the lake, harbour & boats. right around this hotel, they are many restaurants, so you do not worry about difficulties looking for great Taiwanese local food. The food prices are cheap as well. I will surely return to this hotel when i visit sun moon lake next time.

Okay hotel for its Price”
I had picked out this hotel because it was one of the cheaper options in Sun Moon Lake's main lakeside stretch where prices were generally bumped up a notch. While the rooms were clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate, common areas in the hotel were a little run-down with slight construction work going on just outside the main entrance. The hotel is very close to the visitor center where buses run to taichung and taipei so you need ont worry about dragging your suitcases about in the summer heat. There's also a starbucks just a minute away for you to enjoy a cuppa while you gaze upon the water of the lake. The bad thing however was that we were somewhat deceptively offered discount coupons for bike rental to explore the lake, but the place where we redeemed the coupons was a joint which charged a price higher than average, thus negating the 'so-called' complimentary discounts. Not necessarily a big deal but one does wonder whats the point. The Wifi in the hotel is also pretty weak and I could not surf the net from the third floor, if the internet is your lifeblood you might want to reconsider. None of the defects were deal breakers but there are definitely better options for the less budget-conscious

This hotel is quite easy to find because it is near the visitor information. The hotel stay near the Sun Moon Lake and could see the lake from the restaurant.The room is clean and nice. The breakfast is good too. Near the hotel you could find many restaurant and local food and also could do shopping too.

It is replacement hotel from Agoda cause of technical issue. I am happy to stay here with Lake View room. Hotel is near to sun moon late Pier just walk less than 100 steps from hotel to pier.

Great balcony overseeing the view of Sun Moon Lake”
We stay here for a night. Hotel was a little old and room was small but overall clean. The hotel comes with a balcony overseeing the view of Sun Moon Lake and the view was really breath taking. As early as 4am, open up your balcony, enjoy the great view and the cooling weather, I guarantee you that the weather is even cooler than your room. Enjoy the weather before the sun comes out because it will gets really hot. One more thing, if you wants to open up your window, then look out for flying bugs.... a few, not too many.

Second time at this hotel...”
Yes the hotel is older but I enjoy my stays there. The view of the lake is great and the sunrise is worth waking up for each day. The staff have been very gracious to me and help in every way I ask. I would prefer in room wifi but it is not so bad to go into the lobby to log in. The hotel could not be in a better location when it comes to staying at Sun Moon Lake. The rooms are small but unlike other reviews I have not even seen one insect in two visits spanning 9 days. I will be staying again on my return to the lake.

Great location but not that clean and small”
Location : a lot of shop around it but to get there you will need a Taiwan driver. I had one for 2500 NTD from Tai Chung to sun moon lake. On the way there, we visited a number of places. It is also near a 7/11. Visiting attraction : there is one shop on the right side of the hotel selling boat ticket. You can get a discount if you say you are living this hotel. You will be paying kid price instead of adult price. If you wish to see sun rise, rent a motor powered bicycle. You can ask for the renting in a shop selling plums. The price can be negotiable. If you want to stay there (sun moon lake), I recommend the hotel next to this. It should call del lago or something. It's look quite near and grand.

we arrived earlier than the check-in time. The staff allow us to leave our baggages and instructed us how to use the packages to visit the lake. Also they offer the best price for the package. The hotel is at the middle of the main street where you can have food and shopping easily. The ferry is just at the entrance of the hotel. The nearby resteraut selling "president fish" is excellent to taste though it had plenty of very tiny fish bones.

Even it is small hotel. The location is good along with the welcome receiption is fully smile and make you feel like home. Room and environment is very clean. Close to shopping area and also the bi-cycle shop for rent a ci-cycle. Easy to get through the lake walk path. The most impressive is can see the lake lovely view with widely.

Nice sunrise view from hotel room”
Can see sun rise directly from your bed. Lake view rooms have a small balcony. Room fittings are too simple and old for the price we paid. Breakfast provided was simple. Do try out the Sun Moon Lake Restaurant somewhere behind the hotel. This was recommended by the hotel staff. We had a nice meal with lots of different varieties. You can also take the boat to the opposite pier for some nice street food.

Nice hotel with an amazing view of the lake”
It's a family owned hotel. The boss was very friendly and helpful, giving directions and advice on sightseeing spots. He even upgraded our parents room to a bigger room so that we could be next to each other. There is a small balcony for the lake view rooms, which you could see the sunrise on a clear day. 10mins walk to the coach drop off /pick up area. overall a pleasant stay.

Really nice lake n mountain view”
The hotel is rather old. I was shocked when i 1st spot the hotel. the outlook is really old. I thought this is an international hotel but its actually a minsu. However service at the reception is good. They upgraded us to a 4 pax room for free and help us to check for other transport to the next destination. Rooms quite old too but pretty clean. They serve porridge n toast. Soya milk, coffee n tea. quality average. But we din find food in sun moon lake nice anyway. No wifi in room. Only at lobby area. No pc at lobby for common use. Overall its very value for money considering the view n location. Nothing else to wow.

The lake view room has great lake view :) Staff are very friendly & helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near the visitor center and also the bus stop, not to mention just next to the pier. It is also close to various restaurants and Starbucks :)

Great location ”
The location and view is great. You can get food easily just walking out of your hotel because there are many restuarant along the street. You can view Sun Moon lake at your room's balcony. Pls do take note that the hotel and it room is quite old especially the bed and bathroom condition is not that great. Pls take note that the breakfast serve till 9am only , we missed our breakfast because we are late by 15 min. And the hotel check in 3pm ...we reached there ~ 11am but need to wait for couple hrs.

Great position”
This hotel was right on sun moon lake with an elevator ride down to the waterfront where they had a gelato shop which also served light meals. The position was great but it was a little run down, although the staff did try to help fix some of the problems, like the air conditioner.

Right in town centre”
The location is undoubtedly central, it is in fact right in the town centre. We had a city view room, but if you pay more to get a lake view room, you have unobstructed view of Sun Moon Lake, and can enjoy the sun rise and sunset views in the comfort of your room with an open balcony-type window. Restaurants and shops are right on the street downstairs.
