Nice hotel in a convenient location”
Simple 3 star hotel very near to Gare l'est and Gare du nord. I love the many halal restaurants all around the area. Really spoilt for choice. Simple hotel and very clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back again.
Petite hotel near the Train station”
Unfortunately, I arrived Paris one day right after the bombing. So I was nervously lodging a night before my Eurostar train to London next morning. The lift is a bit shaky. but the hotel inside is lovely. Though I do not understand why a blackout curtain for the mini balcony is made out of silk, I do enjoy the bed itself. A minus point that plastic cup was provided in the toilet.
Wonderful hotel. Big modern rooms with modern bathroom and lovely toiletries. The room seemed to be soundproofed as once I shut the balcony doors I could not hear anything outside and slept like a baby! The rooms are airconditioned which was a plus as during my time in Paris they were experiencing a heat wave. The hotel provides 24 hour room service which I ordered and was a tad disappointed. From what I could gather the room service is farmed out to a restaurant or catering company so was quite minimal in amount and pricey. The area the hotel is in is quite old but some great cheap restaurants around 5 minutes walk that you would pay double for the same meal which are closer to all the main attractions. The other side of the street from the hotel there seems to be a gathering everynight of all men at restaurants and bars. I didn't go into any of these restaurants because of this. Being a woman on my own I was a bit nervous the first night walking past but fine after that, they all seemed to be quite well behaved and never approached me or said anything. One of the hop on hop off buses is around 5 minutes walk so really handy. All in all, I would recommend this hotel. I felt I got a bargain for the standard of hotel I got for what I paid.
Perfect location between the Gare du Nord and Gare De l'Est”
Very short walking distance between the two stations, 3 minutes between them. No taxis required! Excellent bedding, very comfortable, modern spacious bathroom with all fittings, tea &coffee facilities in room, striking decor, very quiet, very nice professional staff. Highly recommended for comfort, safety and value
Perfect Location to be Near Gare du l"Est and Gare du Nord”
Perfect Location if you need to be near Gare du l'Est or Gare du Nord. All within walking distance.
Clean room, good location”
Clean room. Although a bit small, it was sufficient since i was staying alone. Only bad part was the squeaky lifts that sounded a bit scary..
everywhere is construction and noisy. room is small and bedding is too soft. did not provide drinking water, did not refill tea and sugar after we made them on the 1st 2 days and no more tea for us for the rest of the stay. only good thing about the hotel is location is near to Gard du Nord train station. thats it.
we experience some issue during the first night first, the baisin having problem and makes the water stuck inside second, electricity is suddenly cut off except the lighting however, all problems have been solve in the early morning of next day and everything is goes smooth for the next few days
walking distance from Gard du Nord”
Stay was brief, just overnight before flying out of France. A good choice for convenience to get to the airport from Gard du Nord. We walked to Montmartre from the hotel, so location for sightseeing was good.
Very comfortable and pleasant stay!”
The proximity to Gare De Nord is fantastic so this allows easy access to all the sights and the Eurostar. The staff were wonderful especially as we checked in very late. The room was very comfortable and the bed was one of the best I have ever slept in. I highly recommend this hotel for a short stay.
Great location for onward travel”
Clean and acceptable room although nominated as a smoking room did not smell of smoke. Advertised as a double but was teo single beds but again was not a problem. Was asked to pay one Euro city tax per person which was not maid clear. Overall a good value clean room close to where we needed to be for onward travel.
Great transit hotel close to transport hub”
This is not a hotel for a lengthy stay in Paris unless you like crowded, noisy streets. But for an overnight or short stay close to the transport hub of Gare du Nord this is a good choice. There are restaurants and cheap eateries nearby, some good shopping within walking distance and the Eurostar terminal, Metro and intercity lines are all very close by. The hotel is well managed, efficient and very clean. Our bed was quite comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and had a good sized bath to soak in after along trip.
Basic but great location between 2 stations”
I stayed in this hotel for one night only because my Eurostar back to London was leaving at 7 am in the morning. The location is ideal- it took me 5 minutes to walk to Gare du Nord therefore saving me that beauty sleep I needed after all the partying in Paris. The room was small, but tidy and with all necessities provided for a short stay. The area is not great, so I would not advise you to walk there on your own in the dark.
location, service, nice & clean room - superb good”
Stay from 13-15 Apr 2011, 1st timer in Paris, can't speak a word of french. Very easy to find, short walking distance from EuroStar Station. Location is superb. Very friendly and helpful reception, breakfast is great too. Room is very new, comfortable and clean. Super value for money, will surely return to this hotel again.
Near to train station, halal food and supermarket
Stayed at this hotel from 9th to 12th Sept 2015 and had a really bad experience. When book the hotel there is no mention that no more than 2 kids could stay with parents in the same room. It only mentioned that kids below 3 stay free with parents. So not knowing that and having 2 children, booked only 1 room for 3 days. So when arrived, there was unwelcoming remarks from the receptionist that I bring more than that is allowed by the hotel and not allow me to check in. Since it was already night, eventually, he agreed to let me in but charged me extra city tax for 1 kid. Then the next morning, I was called by another receptionist named Nora who said I could not stay with 2 kids due to safety issue and asked me to book another room. Argued as there is no mention about this in Agoda and asked that whether they have a room with additional bed that can fit my kids. But she said she could not do anything to help me and asked me to simply rent another room. Was about to leave as we already has plan on our tight schedule in Paris then suddenly, a french guy came out who looks like a bouncer to me and said that this is french law and if you do not pay for extra room, then we will LOCK the door. This is the first time in my life staying at a hotel where the hotel says that they will LOCK the door eventough have paid for them. So frustrating. But then after discussing with my wife and due to our tight schedule, then we decided to just rent another room at Appia for Euro 225. I asked a favour from Nora to call our next hotel in Paris i.e. Hotel Montmartre to confirm whether I will face the same problem when I check in. To my relief, the receptionist said that there will provide me with a room with additional bed without any additional cost. Just a word of advice, if you plan to stay at Gare du Nord area in Paris, there are so many hotel there. This hotel is not the best nor the cheapest, so I advise to just consider other options than this one.
Good Hotel at very close distance from GardeNord”
We Stayed here for 4 Nights and had a comfortable and nice stay. The Hotel was very close to GardeNord Station and was very clean. The Room were small but well furnished. The complimentary breakfast was not served for our booking.
Cold, disappointing, and different”
Once again, in comparison to value we get for same price back in Australia, very disappointing. I had no small fridge and no tea and coffee making facilities. The room was on the small side and at least had a chair and small bench. The management was reasonably helpful but once away from there, the French people, especially the men, are extremely rude and delight in giving you misinformation which almost cost me dearly, as I almost missed the train as the Porter on the platform told me that the train sitting there was NOT the one for me to catch!!!! Luckily, a lady nearby asked the same question and then he said yes and we both jumped on with seconds to spare!!!!! When he got on and I started to challenge him, he had the cheek to spread his arms out and say "ZEN". If he did that in Australia, he wouldn't be alive for very long. If you do not know the language or have someone who can to help you, it is a nightmare for a 60+ woman to get around without having heart problems. It was much better once I got to London and was so glad I only stayed a few days. As for the so called yummy French food. The "buffet" at the hotel was all packets and containers. I walked down the road and ordered omellete and coffee. Both were dreadful, I did not eat all and they cost the earth. I cannot wait to get back to my own country. Thanking you
City hotel with easy access to train station”
Honestly it was not a good experience for me during my time in this hotel...the staff is a bit rude to us and there is a misunderstanding. Dun wish to recall back what had happened there...however this hotel has a good location, just a few minutes walk then you can reach the two main stations in Paris, there are gare du nord and gare du lest.
Close to Gare du Nord”
Fit for travelers who want to stay close to Gare du Nord. Hotel room is clean and comfortable though size is small. Staff is extremely unfriendly. No sightseeing point nearby and metro stations are crowded giving a sense of insecurity. Some small restaurants nearby.
