Super friendly staff”
This is Taiwan at its best. Despite my limited mandarin, we were able to communicate and the staff went out of their way to help me including picking me up and dropping me off at the bus stop. The food was excellent. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!

This place was really lovely! If the weather's nice you have great views of the mountains and tea fields. There's a spot just a short walk from the hotel where you can watch the sunrise, which is great for people who don't want to wake up at 4am to head into Alishan park. The staff was also super helpful and made sure we always made our buses.

Good place to stay to explore Alishan”
This is our second stay in the same year. It is a large facility for B&B with some tour groups. Our room was large and clean with a terrace with a view. My main complaint is that there is no coffee or tea for breakfast, which is unusual for a B&B, not to mention it is situated in a coffee and tea plantation.

Almost a great place to stay”
Applause was nearly a 5/5 stay: nice clean rooms, good location, and great breakfast. However, our shower didn't have any hot water, the bathroom door didn't go to the ceiling so there wasn't much privacy, and we could hear people talking/laughing well past midnight.

Alishan Applause in the mountain ”
The location was great with an excellent view and the hot pot dinner was nice. But the staff are quite impolite and we’re pushing me for cash payment all the time even when I had already given my credit card details to guarantee the booking via Agoda. I wonder if it is because they don’t pay any tax on cash payments. On the day of check out they were so eager to get us out quickly to turn the room around. Great location with very rude and greedy staff.

Exceptional”
Really nice boutique hotel, in a beautiful setting. Skip the crowds at the Alishan sunrise and instead view the sunrise from the Fushan trail near Applause in the Mountains. The breakfast buffet was very good and the dinner hotpot was too. We spent the morning hiking the Fushan Trail and saw only one other couple and a pair of dogs. The room was nicely appointed, with a private balcony perfect for drinking oolong tea and eating mooncakes.

We were really taken in by the sophistication of this resort. Although the garden suite we had chosen was just a room with a glass window looking out at the tea plantation, once we expressed our dismay Ivy, the sweet girl at the front desk, arranged for us to be moved into a family room that looked more like a suite and had a balcony we could step out into and watch the gorgeous view in front of us. She also helped arrange to get us picked up from the spot where the bus dropped us off, at 68.8. You have to really check to see exactly where this is if you are planning to arrive by bus from Chiayi like we did. We stayed there for a night and headed off to Alishan the next day, again being dropped off at that point, where we got another bus to Alishan, about 40 minutes away. The morning breakfast was included in the price, which was about a 100 usd, but they had no coffee, only soy milk and traditional Chinese food. We paid 300 each for dinner the night before, there really was no option and for the price, the food was really good, again all Chinese but good. We savored the tea from their gardens at the tea bar and bought some before we left. We loved this place and will definitely return if we need to chill out. The expanses of the tea gardens in front of us and the mountain was an immensely gratifying experience.

Great place if you plan to visit Alisan”
This hotel located in a beautiful area between Alisan and Chiayi. It's alitte bit far off the road but the staff pick you up from Fushan bus station (call them in advance). Staff can speak general English, very nice and friendly. When the bus to Fengqihu was fulled at the weekend, he kindly drove me to station. The room is equipted with modern facilities (better than all the other 4 stars hotel I stayed in Taipei). It's very close to walking trail and good spot for sunrise. Nice place to stay if you plan to visit Alisan

Awesome experience”
Great “resort”. Got a duplex room. Definitely didn’t expect it to be this great when I booked this place. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great view and plenty of space in the room. Location is ok. Not at the park area of alishan but not an issue if you have a car. Very relax area.

A wonderful place of its own”
The place is really not accessible on your own if you do not have a transport. We reached 7-ish in the evening and they were waiting for us to help us transport our luggages to our lodge.. it was too dark for any activities but we had a good rest. Woke up next morning to see sunrise. It was a good hike up to the sunrise point but the weather was not good. We took many many scenic and nice photos on the way up and down. A very nice and cosy place to go away from the buzz and busy-ness. Overall a nice and relaxing place to stay.

Extremely nice place! Very beautiful, situated among tea plantations, close to the Alishan Forest attractions (if you are motorised). The host is great, very friendly and generous, speaks English. Very relaxing stay.

Nice relaxing place”
Takes half an hour to drive to Alishan National park but it is okay if you don't want to stay inside park grounds. Signage to this place is clear during the day. Very comfortable beds with clean bathroom facilities.

Great Place to stay !!!”
Location is Super. we got a bigger room facing the tea plantation, waking up to a view of plantation is really cool. Watch Sun rise is the best part of the stay and if you self drive, you may go to the mountain top which is about 30mins to take train and enjoy walk in the woods, beautiful land.
