Ideal Stay in Hanoi”
Far exceeding my expectation! I stayed 5 days in a clean and convenient room. There is a lovely open space all the way to the glass roof that allows sun lights to fill the hallways. I was greeted at the marticulous lobby filled with comfortable tables and chairs that accommodate many relaxed guests and business groups alike. The swimming pool on rooftop is just as romantic as ever with soft music playing throughout the area. The services are designed to enhance your every pleasant moments, especially the solo piano performance in the evening. The walls are covered with classic and unique art creativities that reflect traditional values of Ha Noi. The rooftop is my favorite relaxation spot where I can discover the true beauty of Hoan Kiem lake after dinner. The bar staff always found a way to create a perfect drink for me, whether it was a light alcoholic cocktail or a fresh fruit beverage. I don't remember the last time I enjoyed the moments away from family like this trip. Only regret is that I was unable to locate a unique Ha Noi traditional musical performance; however, we shouldn't hold Apricot hotel responsible for that, I suppose. I stayed at this same location 18 years ago, under previous hotel called Phu Gia. I enjoyed it then, and I enjoy much more now. The price is definitely the most surprising of all. A must for everyone.
Comfortable, Good location! ”
Stayed 2 nights as a couple in Apricot Hotel. The hotel is clean and located near the Hoan Kiem Lake. About 8-10 mins walk to Old Quarter where all the food & shopping streets are. The hotel is also situated near banks i.e. ANZ, HSBC and Bao Viet Bank where you can change $$ easily. But the hotel rate is considered decent too. The hotel has a roof top swimming pool with a gym located beside it. The bed is comfortable and had clean toilets. This hotel is definitely a good choice!
One of the Top hotels in Hanoi”
I am a regular traveler to Hanoi. This was my first time at the Apricot. The location of the hotel is hard to beat. It is right by the famous Hoan Kiem Lake and with a lot of restaurants, shopping and "street attractions" right at the door step. The staff is good, the rooms are nice and the Roof top pool bar is a great place to relax in the evening. One of the best things are the Breakfast.
Nice Hotel, Good Value”
Located right across the street from Hoan Kiem Lake, the Apricot is well located for the Old Quarter as well as the French Quarter. Staff is very helpful but nicely stay in the background. The only downside was some daytime construe noise from the Four Seasons going in next door. Food was very good. It's a nice place to get off the noisy, busy (and fun) streets of Hanoi when your feet are worn out from the day's activities.
Nice hotel on Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi”
I stayed for 1 night in Apricot Hotel after completing a 2 night/3 day cruise through Halong Bay. The Apricot Hotel is beautiful property with a gorgeous marble lobby and impressive chandeliers. However, I was not impressed with my stay. My room was small and smelled like mildew. The A/C either blasted frigid air or kept the room far too humid and hot. The shower water temperature fluctuated between scalding and freezing, and leaked water ALL OVER the floors. I do not understand why so many hotels cannot design a proper shower with a shower door that prevents water from flooding the bathroom. I attempted to get a massage in the spa; however, the staff would not leave the room for me to disrobe, so I left after trying to explain that I wanted a tiny bit of privacy to 3 different people in the spa. I travel extensively, especially throughout Asia, and almost always use the spa at the hotels I visit. This is the first time I have ever had this problem. On the plus side, the hotel receptionist did call to ask what the problem was, but I still did not go back to get any spa services due to time constraints. The rooftop bar offers stunning views of Hoan Kiem Lake and Old Quarter and is shared by the hotel's lovely swimming pool. Drinks were good, and the bartenders were friendly! I also ordered room service, which was just OK. The noodles I ordered had been burnt while they were stir-fried and there were some crusty bites throughout. Prior to my Halong Bay cruise, I stayed in the Essence Hotel in Hanoi, which is only a 10 minute walk from the Apricot Hotel. I much preferred the Essence to the Apricot, the staff spoke better English, the food was superior, the room smelled fresh (no mildew), and it was about 60% less for a Junior Suite. Stay there instead!
Comfort in heart of Hanoi ”
We had a fixed price advance deal for an inside room but were upgraded to a quiet outside room with city view. All the room facilities were excellent including a stylish bathroom. The hotel is in a perfect location by Hoan Kiem Lake and it is lovely first thing in the morning to be able to walk across the road to the footpath around the lake. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment. Instead we walked round the lake for a spectacular breakfast at the Metropole Hotel.
Fantastic Stay in Hanoi.”
Entering the drop off and the lobby, we were so impressed at the first glance. Both our rooms were nicely decorated and well equipped but we found a leaking sanitary nozzle in one bathroom and the unopened connecting door. We called the reception for those two issues to be fixed but none came in. We figured how to fix the nozzle ourselves while our connecting doors were never unlocked. Soap bar was not filled and we had to ask for one few times. Otherwise, we were very pleased with this hotel. It is centrally located in the middle of several tourist attractions in Hanoi, many of which are within walking distance. Although situated right besides one of Hanoi's busiest streets, our rooms were quiet without any external noise at all. Main lobby and lift lobbies are filled with nice artworks that we felt like we were staying in a gallery or a museum. Breakfast was great with wide variety of food and quality even though more tropical fruits, from the local area, would add a lot more value but not much for cost. Even though staying at Apricot may cost more than other competitors in Hanoi, we feel that it is still a great value for money.
Great hotel in the centre of Hanoi”
I travel quite a lot to Hanoi but this is the first time i stay in Apricot Hotel. I have no complain about this 5 star hotel, awesome location, friendly staffs, good facility, breakfast is only ok, and whoever stay here should enjoy their rooftop facilities! One suggestion for Apricot is to improve the food variety for breakfast. After all, this will be my favourite hotel to stay when i visit Hanoi next time!
Hotel Staff Deserves 6 Stars!”
“The Art of Fine Living” is more than a slogan at the Apricot Hotel. The hotel staff members, including the people at the concierge desk, take this notion very seriously, and they deserve 6 stars for their expertise and graciousness, which made every day at the Apricot one to remember. I loved my deluxe room, the wonderful breakfasts, gorgeous pool, live music in evenings, and most of all, the stunning collection of original artwork in the lobby and corridors, which conveyed so much about the dramatic history and beauty of Vietnam. I was overjoyed to be there.
It was a fantastic stay. The room is spacious, super clean. The mattress is so comfy i didnt wanna wake up. The decoration and atmosphere make it so cosy like home. The swimming pool offers a great view of the old quarter. When the rooftop bar is open it will be even more awesome!! The staff is very attentive. Whenever they saw us with a heavy bag they would approach and offered help. Great value for everything you get! I regret booking another 4 star hotel for the previous nite. It was only a little bit cheaper but the room was tiny n smelly. We will def stay at Apricot if we go back to Hanoi again.
This wasn't the first time to Hanoi but the first time at the Apricot. Because of the wonderful location of the Apricot I was able to enjoy Hanoi in a way I hadn't done before. An early walk around the lake is easy and the perfect start to a Hanoi day. Breakfast is exceptional. Rooms are good but not large, that was fine as I was a solo traveller though. Pool area and rooftop views are fantastic
Excellent location, food & value for money.”
I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are big and clean, and the staff are very helpful. The location is amazing, as it is by Hoan Kiem Lake, which means shopping, coffee shops and bars are easily accessible. As I am really into working out, I was disappointed by the gym. It has two treadmills and dumbbells that are 3kg heavy or lighter. The wifi is also not great. If you are sending messages then it's great, but if you want to watch any type of video (youtube), then it is frustrating. With that said, I would definitely stay here again, as it is an excellent hotel. Everything is great, apart from the gym and the wifi connection could be better.
Lovely stay, great hospitality and service”
I had a lovely stay at Apricot Hotel. The staffs were very friendly, kind and approachable. Check in and out processes were smooth. The room was well-maintained, clean and comfortable. Definitely value for money and will surely come back for my next Hanoi visit!
Our Little Secret”
We are having a great time here. 2nd stay for us but didn't review last time in case it was booked out now. Great staff and rooms. Just finishing renovations but no inconvenience at this price. Nice rooftop pool area overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake in Old Quarter. Just fantastic!
The apricot hotel is one of the only 5* hotels in the old quarter of Hanoi and is just a cross the road from The water puppets show, a short stroll to many shops bars and restaurants a great location the only downside was I only had 1night Here
Well located boutique hotel”
I just love everything in this hotel! It's just right in front of the famed Hoan Kiem Lake where you can walk/jog around and in front of the lotus water puppet theatre if ever that fancies you! St Joseph cathedral with goth architecture is just a 5min walk away from the hotel. There's so much you can do inside and outside of this hotel! Will definitely come back!
I've stayed in Hanoi many times and in numerous places but this is definitely one of my favourites. It is perfectly located near to Hoan Kiem lake and the city centre, has a nice lobby and a great rooftop bar. Excellent value and service.
perfect location for the Old Quarter”
The Apricot is an excellent hotel with lovely décor and friendly staff. We only dined in the hotel restaurant once, where I would recommend the tempura soft-shelled crab - there are so many amazing cheap food stalls nearby (around St Joseph's Cathedral). The rooftop bar and swimming pool is a good place to chill out - but be warned, if you have children or non-swimmers, there is no real shallow end to the pool. The concierge was very friendly with lots of advice and the water puppet theatre is opposite the hotel, though the times of performances do vary from the publicised list.
Incredible quality, great location”
We stayed at the apricot Hotel at the end of a long trip across Vietnam. It was easily the most comfortable, peaceful, and best-value hotel we stayed at, a real relief from the hectic aspects of traveling. We enjoyed the breakfast and the views of the park, and the lovely rooms left nothing to be desired.
Great elegant hotel”
I enjoyed my stay at Apricot hotel. Hotel lobby was elegant and comfortable. I had a very nice studio room for my family with 2 kids. I had dinner one night at the palatte. Food was great and enjoyable with pianist playing on a grand. Location was great for my family as well. Highly recommended.
