GOOD HOTEL”
this hotel is good but we thought we had connected rooms for family of four but they ended up putting us in separate rooms on different floors...other than that...the room is clean, and the location is perfect since its right across the street from the beach...parking is a bit pricey of $50 usd/day....staff is great...wouldnt mind staying since the location is great...hotel is a bit old but its still retains its charm

We had a great time at the Twin Fin. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Pool area and Tiki restaurant were awesome. Make sure to use your credits at the beach store for chairs etc. So glad we booked here and not a pricey hotel.
No Aloha at this hotel”
We chose the Twin Fin over the hotel next door (Park Shore) and later deeply regretted our choice. From our first arrival, the hotel has no lobby area, just sofas next to the valet parking. Reception is on the third floor very close to the pool. We checked in and were charged our resort fees then given door passes. No explanation was given on exactly what is included in the resort fees or how the Beach Candy worked. There is a beautiful beach across the road, however if you’re not at the beach store by 8am they run out of everything. The hotel pool is in complete shade until after lunch. Our other issue is that they show beautiful sofas, tables and chairs with the spectacular beach views. This is floor 21, you will only have access to this floor if you pay $55 dollars for breakfast and if you partake of the 30 minute stargazing activity on Monday nights. Other than this, the Coconut Lounge is closed off to guests. There is also the Tiki Bar, this is a private bar on the pool deck, you cannot sit here unless you purchase their food and drink. Although the hotel is across the road from the beach/sea you cannot enjoy the view unless you pay for a beach view. In my opinion you may as well stay at the abundance of hotels a block back. Our room was fine, tidy enough, but only cleaned twice during our weeks stay. There is no chair in the room, or glasses, just 2 paper cups to use with the coffee machine. If you choose to buy food from the ABC or another take always store there are no tables/chairs or cutlery to use in the hotel. You will not be able to buy even a simple cup of coffee. The pool girls are the only pleasant staff the Twin Fin employs. The reception staff are indifferent. I did raise an official complaint with Ricky during our stay but he was apathetic to what I was saying and I did ask him if he was listening. Sadly, I think he’s heard everything I said to him over and over. I would definitely choose to stay at this end of Waikiki again but would avoid the Twin Fin.

Ive stayed here quite a few times over the years but it seems with this visit, the quality of the hotel has plummeted. The rooms smell, not thoroughly cleaned. Found hair & dirt in bathroom, carpet has stains & is filthy. Do not walk around barefoot! Staff is friendly as to be expected. But I wont return. Since new management & name change, Im not thrilled at ALL. Im quite disappointed. I asked for a more “updated” or premier room and they wanted to put me in a suite for an additional $60 a night. I asked if the room was “upgraded” or am I simply getting the same dated room but in a larger space. She didnt answer. Also, the houseless population has increased and with the hotel so close to the beach & parks and can be extremely loud overnight and u may see the houseless passed out on the side of the hotel sidewalk. Literally on the property. Staff does nothing. But what can they do? Idk. But it was an overwhelming experience and may startle little kids if you’re planning a family trip here.
