Worst Service We Have Ever Experienced”
Whatever you do, do NOT pay full price to stay here. The pictures look nice, but the reality is that the service is terrible. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 5pm - well after check-in time. We had to wait over an hour for it to be ready after being told it would only take "15 minutes." When we arrived in our room, it was clear they did a rush job - no water, no robes, etc. We left our room to grab a drink and when we returned, the water, robes, etc. magically appeared...along with about a million mosquitoes. We never even opened the door to our balcony yet somehow our room was infested with mosquitoes. We could barely even sleep because they were constantly buzzing around our faces. And oh, did I mention we also found a huge roach in our bathroom? But what made our experience so terrible was the awful service, the worst we have ever experienced, which is unacceptable for a resort that claims to be five stars. Any time we had a question, nobody had an answer, or worse, they would just brush us off by saying they would call our room...and then never did. We stayed at this resort on the last night two nights of our trip hoping that we would end on a high note, but instead, it left us with a sour taste in our mouths. We also wanted the ease of having a concierge to help us book things like day trips or spa treatments at the hotel, but we could never find or get any information. Usually, there is a booklet of services in the room, but either they didn't have that or our room was missing the book. When we asked about booking a boat tour, we were handed a flyer...in Chinese. We don't speak Chinese. When we tried to find out about renting a motor scooter, they flat out told us that they only had private cars. Could they not have just said that our best bet was to rent a scooter in town? Speaking of which, it took FOREVER to get a private car or tuk tuk to come pick us up when we needed it, which we did almost every evening as there's no other way to get out of

Not a 5* hotel”
This is not a five-star property. I stayed there for 3 days and it was disappointment after disappointment. I had to wait for my room, because it was not ready at 3pm, which is check-in time. I was assigned to a room that had a malfunctioning toilet (with feces floating on it to be precise). After an hour of waiting, I was told that I would need to move to another room. I was placed in a room which had malfunctioning lights and was moved to yet another room. Nobody apologized throughout this process. The quality of the food is way below what you would expect for the price you pay. Also, given that there is a base 10% service charge, one would expect excellent service from the staff, but that is not the case. The evening buffet is a rip off. If you get there after 8, food is overcooked and nothing is re-stocked. Given that there are no other eating options nearby, the choice of food is very limited. So think twice if you'd like to avoid having to hop on a tricycle every night to get food. To top it off, upon check out I was told that the credit card terminal was not working and that they couldn't return my deposit (6000 PHP)... It's been 3 days and I haven't heard from them. All in all, the facilities are nice, the pool is big, but the service is terrible. I read some of the reviews thinking that they were exaggerating, but not a bit. I would totally recommend people to stay elsewhere.

Beautiful resort”
It is my third time visiting Bohol, and this time I chose Be Grand Resort, the room and amenities are all good and I can see that almost everything is with quality, and water station on the hall way is definitely an excellent add-on to the hotel, there's no white sand beach in the resort, but we still enjoy swimming in that blue crystal clear water, as there are alot of fishes and star fish out there! The food for me is not that tasty, just so so.

Breakfast atrocious plus NO BEACH fake pics sand”
The pool looks dirty and taste of SALT. There is a sandy area leading to a cliff rock drop to a rocky seaweed filled sea that is not friendly as waves smash onto rocks. Breakfast is a joke. Cone 1 hr before and its all cold half finished and the pre-cooked food is cold dry and flies/ant and mosquito infested. Service is diabolically slow and eggs far to greasy!! Will NEVER stay there again even at $25!

Great stay”
We stayed there for 3 days, it was awesome, great swimming pool looks amazing at night, not far from downtown at all, just take a little tuktuk. I had a great time overall in Philippines. Going again soon.

Great place”
Should have a shuttle to and from Alona beach, the tricycle and habal habals are expensive. 50php per ride. The game room is always locked. Bec. apparently someone stole something there and they are now strict. It's a hassle to go to the reception to just get the key and register. 😭 Other than that, my stay is great!!

Good amenity but POORLY maintained”
Travelling with an elderly (90 year old) and an infant. Arrived at the hotel at 11am since they did not allow us to avail of early check-in we went to Alona for lunch (Shuttle drop off to alona will cost 400 per way). But gave all our booking details since we booked a number of rooms an inform them that we have an elderly and a 3 year old infant so that when we come back for check in it wont take a long time for them to do so. We came back at 2:30PM, they gave us wrong rooms and checked us in at 6:30PM. Can you imagine the hours of waiting? They did not give us the rooms we booked because it is unavailable per the front office and they cannot do anything about it already. We have to talk to their manager, and our booking was upgraded to villa instead of the family suite we booked on their website (a separate booking we made aside from the ones we booked through agoda). We got to the villa and it was already at 7pm, their golf cart got busted on our way to the villa, we have to help the manually push the cart. We were the ones who carried our bags since we can no longer wait, we were too tired, some wanted to freshen up. Inside of Villa 2 the smell was awful maybe because of sewage system, and plenty of mosquitoes. Nobody was in their clinic, and even asked their staff where is the nurse, they only replied that we better go to the front office. Staff needs to be trained. They do not know on what their activities are. Even if they are new ones, they need to be knowledgeable. Charged us 5,000 for smoking in the balcony even if there was no sign in their balcony that it prohibits smoking. So be careful. On our last day, there was no water supply and there was NO NOTICE given. Imagine we were checking out, and NO water! When the water came back it was yellow-orangey in color. Nice hotel, but needs meticulous maintainance and A LOT of improvement on CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Excellent place for family summer vacation...”
We had an excellent stay and breakfast are great lots of options and the food are excellent too .. very wide pool that's why you will enjoy swimming. The place is beautiful and rooms are nice and clean.
