This hotel is underrated and I'm here to raise its rating”
TBH, I wasn't expecting much when I booked. I was drawn in by photos of the pool, and just needed a place to sleep. I'm so glad the photo of the pool drew me in because I definitely enjoyed my stay and would gladly stay here again! But first, let's get the negatives out of the way... upon entering the resort, it looked a bit worn down. However, the places where I mostly hung out (my room, the restaurant & pool) were not, so don't get hung up on the facade. The porkchop I had was really small. Lastly, the hot water in the shower was not consistent. It seemed like the heater was having a hard time keeping up. The water didn't seem to heat up at 12 or 2oclock (spout position, not time) so I'd crank it up to full (around 3oclock) and it'd get SUPER hot so I'd put the spout position at neutral then the water would get cold. BUT, I was glad to have hot water anyway so this was minor. Now for the good stuff... my room was located in the Annex and it was spotlessly clean and seemed relatively new. AC was fine, bed was comfy, sheets were soft, shampoo and soap were provided. I wish the toilet had a bidet though! The electrical outlets were conveniently located right next to the bed. Hallelujah! The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. My USB charger wasn't working so the guard, kuya Anthony, lent me his. Ate Jorax offered to drive me to the port on her scooter when she found out my driver wasn't replying (he eventually did). Lastly, Globe signal is really poor in the hotel so I didn't have internet, but the kind manager let me use the hotel wifi after office hours. I liked that the hotel is relatively near the port. It's quite a distance from the main road though, so you have to arrange for transport if you want to get out. The infinity pool is as pretty as it looks, as is the beach in front of the hotel. Just watch out for sea urchins hidden in the sea grass! It's great to stay here during Habagat season as the wind keeps the beach free of debris at this time. I

I have selected the Blue Wave Inn because I had a scheduled skydive on the 2nd night or our stay. This hotel is just about a 10min drive to Skydive Siquijor. PROS - The BEST INFINITY POOL in Siquijor! we had the pool all by ourselves. It is also beachfront. We had a garden view room, we are a group of 3 and had 1 Queen size and a single bed, the room is huge and the air condition works perfectly. Blue Wave Inn is the perfect place to relax and unwind and just be with nature. CONS >Their Tv does not have any channels, no netflix, no cable, no local TV channels. >No Wifi > have your own mobile data, Our SMART sim does not have any signal inside the room, you have to go to the restaurant or the pool area or in the beach to get the signal. >food menu - the food is pretty basic, do not expect the best dine in. If you are looking for a nice restaurant to eat, then you have to take a trike or rent a motor bike or have your tour guide drop you to a different restaurant which is what we did. Other things to take note of - Blue Wave Inn charges 1,000 ph for any additional guest that are not included on your reservation. -The Infinity pool closes at 8pm -6pm is the last order at their restaurant

Liked my stay here. Room is small so it's ok for a solo traveler. No wifi available. No phone signal in the rooms. You need to stay at the pool area for signal.

We stayed for 2 nights. Cleanliness wise, the room and bathroom were clean however, the bathroom enclosure was super smeared and it looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The air conditioner was so loud and clearly old. No stable network coverage in their area so you will need Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is only available in the check in counter area and internet connection is slow. Breakfast is by plate not buffet which is not an issue. However, it starts at 7:30 am meaning, you can place your orders at 7:30 am and wait for maybe 15 - 30 minutes for your food.. we had an early trip so we decided to skip it. Food options are also limited. The lady at the restaurant (Monday Morning) was also rude. The rest of the employees were nice. Overall, you can tell that the place has not recovered from the pandemic yet since it needs to be retouched. The infinity pool is great though.
Pool and beach in one”
We actually like the facilities of this location. Pool is nice. The beach is okay, there are a lot of weeds but you could swim reasonably. We haven't tried the meals in the restaurant except the plated breakfast, which is simple but enough. The staff is great, very accommodating. You just have to let them know if you need something. The location is 10- 15min away from the main hub, San Juan where good cafès and resto are located - not a big thing for us as we have our scooters. The bedroom is okay - we slept in the prefab room with aircon. The bathroom is the least so far in our stay because it is not maintained well - rust is all over and semi-cleaned but we ignore it. In a nutshell, we recommend this place to travellers who are like us, who value the staff and service above others.
