Lovely place”

This is a lovely resort located along the Kwai river. Our room faces the Kwai river and has the great sunset view. The atmosphere is so relaxing because it's close to the river. We can hear the river flow all the time and the terrace is really great to sit and have a drink. The food is good and the staff is great. They are very nice and informative. Our room has the roof top area to see stars at night, very romantic.

This resort was near the nature, who prefer to avoiding traffic or city annoying please visit there.

Too expensive for its condition”

Poor bed condition, plenty of space, big porch, nice sky deck on the roof, not so nice garden, quiet and peaceful

Great value and location”

Although it was only a one night stay, I was very impressed. The room is further out of the city (we had a car) so it made for a peaceful night and we were right on the river. The staff are friendly and the one manager spoke English very well. I liked the fact it was a bit outside of KC and saved us a bit of time towards Erawan the next day. Clean and spacious rooms with tons of natural light in the morning, they did a great job with the individual riverfront units. Would definitely recommend it but own transport needed.

This was a very pleasant place to stay, the rooms where nice and the location is about 15 minutes out of town but easy to find.

Small bungalow resort right on the Kwai River”

Had difficulties finding this resort, not sure whether it was wrongly marked on Agoda map or driver made the mistake when memorising in navigation device. Had to call the resort to guide us and we were picked up from a school nearby. Quite far away from the town but beautifully set right on the River Kwai. Thus decided to have dinner at the resort, which was ordered from outside, extensive menu (Thai version offers greater selection). So it took a while to arrive but was certainly worth the wait. Rooms are fairly large with good amenities, pillows hard and to thick, air conditioner could not be adjusted to cool room effectively.

Nightmare”

The view and garden were beautiful, the women from the reception was nice and frieandly, but the room was a big disappointment - with a lot of mosquitoes, spiders and ants on the walls and also on the bed. The nightmare began at night - there were so many mosquitoes and cockroaches and even a lizard (in the room!). The bed was very short and I'm not a tall guy. The location is also bad and close to nowhere. This place is so horrible.

On the river Kwai, beautiful location out of town”

Lovely room with many thoughtful extras: slippers, umbrella, toiletries. More than expected for the price. Breakfast was in a charming area and excellent!

Beautiful place on the riverside”

"chom kwai lae dao resort" offers quiet, spacious and clean bungalows with river views. the resort is located outside the city center of kanchanaburi (15 minutes ride), so expect no nightlife or shops in the neighbourhood - a tranquil garden with a cozy reception/restaurant area make up for this. the resort is family-run, the owners are very friendly and helpful. overall a special place and definitely a highlight on your thailand trip.

Nice quiet hotel near the river kwai”

Nice quiet resort near the river Kwai. The rooms are very clean and you even have a nice terrace(where you can have dinner) with view of the River Kwai. The owner was very friendly and helpful. My girlfriend wanted to buy a sarong to be able to enter the temples and she took us to the local market. She also gave us a ride to one of the most important temples of Kanchanaburi because we wanted to see it. I really recommend this hotel!
