Always the same issues”

Broken windows in rooms give access to balcony door locks. Sink almost fell off pedestal. Easy access to balcony doors from sitting areas that can lead to increased theft. Staff never read guest requests when using a booking service. Some have no idea now to even access bookings on Agoda. Although the rooms are clean the bathrooms need much attention.

Hand sink was filthy. Low water pressure. Broken window panes at balcony door near door handle. It looks as if someone tried to break in the room at some point prior to my arrival. Panes were not replaced.

Best Value for nice clean no frills Guesthouse Chiang Rai city center”

I stayed here two different periods of time during November, December 2016 and January 2017. I love finding places to stay that reflect the people and culture of where I'm staying so I'm not patron of 4-5 star establishments. I like to get out and meet the locals and build relationships and feel a sense of the neighborhood and the people who live and work there. This place, for me, is perfect. Super friendly and helpful staff and, the manager, Meaw, is the most amazing and efficient and friendly lady I've ever met in my travels. Excellent location with pretty much anything you need within walking distance... If you want sightseeing they can help you book a day trip or get you to the places in town you want to go. Restaurants, pharmacy, 7-11, massage, Chiang Rai Night Bazaar / Market, Saturday Night Walking Street... and more! All my requests were handled quickly and always with a smile and kindness. I highly recommend this Guesthouse to you for your stay in Chiang Rai city center :-)

Good Guest House”

Quite big room, comfortable bed, pillow. 2 bottles oaf water free every day, free coffee at lobby, very helpful staff. A little bit noisy from night market but only till 11 p.m. Good location.

The hotel is located next to the Night Bazaar. It offers free coffee, laundry service. The rooms are quite large, but the furniture has its good years behind us. The bathroom has plenty of hot water. The hotel will satisfy rather less demanding travelers who prefer the good location of the hotel and do not mind an older facility. The hotel offers rooms with air conditioning and also rooms with shared bathrooms.

Nice staff and right downtown but the room smelled musty like they haven't washed the top blanket for some time and that smelled to room up. Very noisy, had to call the office at 2:30am to ask that the partying guests in the lobby be asked to quiet down. Paper thin walls and no daily room cleanup service. For the same money got a much nicer room just a few steps away. Would not stay here again.

Walking distance to night market. Although breakfast is excluded, there is a famous local noodles restaurant just opposite the guest house. No lift & unstable wifi connection at room.

Sketchy, not well maintained. ”

I would not recommend staying here, unless you are desperate/do not care about bathroom cleanliness. Our bathroom was not cleaned well at all (there was literally faeces smeared on the wall). The bed was worse than any other I've slept on in the country. There was even a couple of springs sticking through the mattress. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Had a very bad stay.

Night Bazaar”

This is a convenient place to stay if you have an early bus from Chiang Rai. Because it is also near the night bazaar it is noisy. Room was old and run down. Free coffee in lobby

A simple hotel to stay for 1 or 2 nights not more. Very well located near the night market and the bus terminal. The room is ok.

Fine, but a bit overpriced”

As others have said, this is fine for a short stay but a bit overpriced for what it is. Super noisy as the windows are those standard thai style plastic shutters. Not ideal when you're in the middle of the city. The pro's of this are that you are in the middle of the city, so also a good thing. General condition of the place is pretty poor and old, but very clean none the less. Bit "anty".

Nice stay ”

Nice location with night market nearby. Surrounded by lots of shops. However, noises from shows in restaurant not far from the hotel disturbed our sleeping time. Anyway, it was a nice stay.
