The pluses: location doesn't get much better, the staff are very polite and proud to maintain such a clean property, and great bang for your buck for a downtown hotel. It has some obvious upgrades with new decor, television, free wifi, plumbing and lighting fixtures to modernize its classic look. However the rooms are quite small and lacking basic features such as closets or chest/dresser, even hooks for outerwear. There's a tiny side table with the safe at its base we ended up folding our clothes on top of, and dumped our bags in the corner placing our coats on top of them. The restaurant space is currently vacant with the reopening having been so recent, so there is no included breakfast at this time. Altogether this hotel is ideal for single travelers on short stays (3 days at most), or possibly one night for a couple in transit. The area is accessible and can't be beat for downtown Boston, however there are at least a dozen other options in the immediate vicinity. Copley Square Hotel doesn't have enough to stand above its immediate competition.

I booked this hotel mainly because of its prime location. I wanted to be right smack in the middle of the action a few steps at Newbury street. I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the hotel facilities too, the housekeeping and the availability of a front desk. My room was great though slightly small and I missed the option of having a small desk to sit at but I could have chosen a bigger room type. All in all, great little historic stay and would return!

Hotel location is accessible to major tourist attraction. It’s also kid friendly. I also like that you can leave your luggage at the front desk after check out so you can roam around while waiting for your departure.
