Everything was bad.
A big disappointment and inconvenience”
Great view, great location”
The Dan Gardens has a fantastic view over the Haifa bay and is located in the Carmel area. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and the Baha'i Gardens are a few minutes walk away. The hotel itself is a bit dated but clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. You would probably expect a bit more from a Dan hotel but this was probably one of the first in the chain as the building looks like it is from the 50ies. If you can accept 3-star standard then this hotel is good value for money.
Ok hotel but disappointing service”
Don't mean to be one of those reviews you see often here where some spoiled traveller nitpicks about hotels which are perfectly fine though was not pleased with this hotel. Just finished two week trip to Israel and every hotel exceeded this one - which is ironic given this is a Dan hotel and is supposed to be the best. Having internet is important to me in room and I called in advance to see if it was there and whether it was free and was told "yes, yes, yes". When got there was then told no, we are sorry, too bad. That was very unprofessional. Room also was not very nice and no way to turn down airconditioner. Need to walk up stairs and no help doing that with luggage.

השטיחים במסדרונות מאד מלוכלכים, החדרים ישנים, אמבטיה ישנה עם סימני חלודה. מזגן באחד החדרים לא עבד. המיטות לא מאד נוחות.
