Great Room for the Great Price”
The hotel's location was fantastic, making it easy to access transportation. The staff were friendly and the facilities were top-notch. The cleanliness was fairly decent, much better than I could say for most! The Wi-Fi surely did it's job & was reliable. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!
A Nice Average Hotel”
I was worried at first, because other reviews mentioned roaches. However, I stayed in room 305 and didn't see one bug, and I was playing detective. I even picked up the matress to check for bedbugs, nothing. The room was dated, but that was fine. The staff were very friendly and nice. Even prompting me to check in earlier than the estimated time a room would be available. The chairs in the lobby are comfortable. Quick acess directly next to the Green Line train. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected, with a pancake machine, fresh bread and toasters, cheese eggs, sausage links, yogurt and a variety of oatmeal and cold cereal. Safe neighborhood directly next to the University stadium. No complaints.
Convenient location”
Staying here to go to the state fair. It was an excellent idea because it’s only two blocks from the free state fair shuttle. The room itself was very clean. The bathroom was a little tight but the shower has good pressure.
Clean, safe, friendly staff”
I’ve stayed here many times when visiting my daughter at college. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, and I’ve always felt safe, even when traveling alone. There are exceptional restaurants in the area and the Teehouse in the same parking lot is amazing. The free hotel breakfast always helps our finances!
Not a bad choice for the area, would stay again”
+great location, walking distance to a few restaurants, and right next door to a metro stop. Excellent if you don't have a car. +Safe area, free parking, large lot +Great heat in the room, prob because it's small + The bed is very hard. I got a great night sleep. Your preference may differ. I slept better here than the fancy dancy hotel I was in the night before. +Relatively cheap - rooms are very dated and small. Stains on the carpet, peeling wallpaper, ect. -tiny bathroom, toilet flushed very slow and the plumbing squeals. Plastic shower tub prob 40+ years old -thin walls and doors. You can hear every tv playing and people having phone calls in their rooms as you walk down the hall. Overall would recommend and stay here again. It's not the Ritz but a good value and great location.
