Good place ”

We reach there very early so we paid extra 500 for early in check and on our last day we requested for late check out and willing to pay extra 500 for 17:00 check out time but our night bus is at 19:20 so we want to stay for an extra hr but the hotel didn’t agree and said it’s their policy we need to pay for extra day then. Overall I am happy with location and room I would visit again if they can compromise a lil more

No in room safe, balcony was tiny and mainly taken up with a large air-conditioning unit blasting out hot air. Only just room for 2 people at a squeeze. No room for table and chairs. This hotel is a fair way from the city centre and as Chiang Rai is fairly quiet with no taxis or tuk tuks after 1.00 am we had a long walk back to the hotel. Other than the above a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff.

Friendly staff, great support”

Very nice hotel Breakfast good If I go to Chiang Rai again I will book this hotel. I recommend this hotel is very good. One point very disappointed about Chinese guest near to my room, they made a loud noise all the time.

Worth the stay”

Place is clean and staffs are warm & friendly. They even offered to help me book the bus ticket for next stop Chiang Mai. Location is a little far from night bazaar but it’s just a 90baht Grab away and effortless.

Nice, clean hotel but you need transport”

The hotel is excellent as far as comfort and quiteness go, but is 2km away from the Clock Tower, so more than a quick stroll to town. For smokers, there are rooms with balconies. A nice hotel, but you need transport. Had spotty results with Uber and Grab at certain times of day.

ChiangRai Marathon”

Room is big and clean with balcany for smokers. Air con is strong and water shower is great pressure water during shower time. Breakfast have lots of varity and international buffet will make you satified. hotel can help to arrange one day tour pickup for 1000 baht. about slightly further (~1.9km) to clock tower (Central). have to take TUTU or cab abt 100 baht for 10 mins travel. good staffs and polite and helpful. mini refidge but no stuffs inside for purchasing. Room service foods are nice, cheap and tasty. Can bring massage lady to room massage. Pleasant stay

Very good value for money”

We were very happy with the whole experience. Check in was quick and easy. The room was a good size, clean, with good amenities. Breakfast was good, check out was easy & it was good value for money.

Big room, nice breakfast, OK location”

Seems like this hotel was converted from some sort of dormitory. The room was huge but the bathroom was kind of small. My wife think it wasn't all that clean also. But the breakfast was nice and the location was OK if you want to do some sightseeing around Chiang Rai.

Good Value”

I am very thankful for the manager at the Hug Hotel helping to arrange our tour of the Chiang Rai region. She found us a wonderful English speaking guide with his own car, and also helped us decide what would be worthwhile seeing. As to the hotel itself, it is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are comfortable if basic. The view from my balcony was of a neighbor's backyard who owns three beautiful dogs, a german shepherd and two golden retrievers. I think it is the only time in my life I chatted with a neighbor to the hotel from my balcony as we talked about his dogs. The location of the hotel is ok, but not within walking distance of either the Clock Tower or the Night Market, being 2-3 kilometers distance from both. The taxi or tuk tuk ride is cheap, however, and the Chiang Rai Night Market is worth viewing. Overall, a very nice stay and would stay here again if I were spending the night in Chiang Rai.

De Hug Hotel and Residence in Chiang Rai”

De Hug Hotel and Residence at 053-711-789 is a great little hotel away from the center of the city, but within easy walking to many nice restaurants at a good price. We drove and it is a short drive to the city center - tuk-tuks are available. This is our go-to hotel whenever the city hotels are full. This is a 3-star hotel with 4 star pride. The free buffet breakfast has ample food and a good assortment and is one of the few places that makes sure the food is hot and fresh! There are only Thai TV channels, but the WiFi is good.

De Hug Hotel in Chiang Rai”

I feel this is a 3 1/2-star hotel. I can tell you that is on Hwy 1211 and right around the corner is a fantastic restaurant (can't remember the name). This hotel is North of the Rasa Hotel and not far from the night market, but not that close. The hotel provides large, clean rooms with good WiFi and a nice free breakfast. The area is dotted with many local restaurants and food vendors. This is my 2nd choice when I come to town. Staff is extremely helpful both in Thai and English!

Fabulous, friendly staff - clean room, comfy bed”

Staff was great, friendly, very helpful and spoke good English. Only complaint - I wish there was a mat to put down on the shower floor and in front of the sink. Both places were slippery while taking a shower and afterwards.

De Hug hotel Chiangrai ”

this was a clean, well functioning hotel made extra special by the wonderful staff who made that truly special effort to smile, be attentive and helpful, and make me believe that they really cared. The staff made all the difference.

fantastic Hotel”

This is a fantastic Hotel.It is quite new and everything worked well.The room I stayed in was very large and had nice furnitures. How ever, I had a bit of a problem finding the place.It is a bit away from the City centre therfor it would be advisable to have your own transportto get there.

Great hotel. The most comfortable bed I have slept on in Thailand. The rooms were large and they did not charge extra for our kids. Breakfast was okay. Not a lot of variety, but they did make eggs for us. We will definitely return here.

Idyllic, comfortable and reasonable price”

Nice modern hotel with very big and comfortable room. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a wonderful night's sleep and felt well rested after 7 hrs drive from BKK to Chiangrai. We'd say it is a good value for money to stay here as the rate already includes Breakfast. Flat screen TV, fridge and hair dryers are provided in the room. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful and speaks English. The hotel is not far from the city center. Wifi is free and fast. We strongly recommend this place to everyone !
