Great Location”
We stayed 5 nights at the Fairmont. Location wise was great, short walk to the pier and to an array of shops and restaurants. Took about 45min to walk down to Venice Beach. Our room was nice. spacious and comfortable. The pool area was always full. You have to get there quite early to grab a lounge. The Hotel Restaurant food was OK but very expensive, and service very slow. was the only disappointment for our stay. In room dining was awesome, very 5-star service. The gym is an inside/outside set-up and has EVERYTHING you could want/need - fantastic. I do recommend staying here. But there are so many other hotels in the area. I would probably stay elsewhere if I was to travel there again, OR upgrade to one of the Bungalows or a room with a view, as ours didnt have one.
Beautiful location, expensive, safety questions ”
While we enjoyed our stay here, we'd come from another LA-area hotel where we got more value for the dollar. Our room was passably clean when we checked in, but computer systems issues made the $300 up-front incidentals fee transaction rocky, and I had to inquire about extra charges. We cleared it up, but it was inconvenient. The view is beautiful and the room is small. The shower/bath door opens in, not our, and there are no safety grips for visitors who may have mobility issues. I actually think the shower/bath could be violating codes. Fig seemed like an OK place but it was hard to get reservations. Breakfast there was good. We enjoyed the coffee & food from Dogtown There were extremely loud parties at night with loud music playing--I love that but it could be a little less loud. The gym is small but ample & well-maintained. I'd recommend this hotel if you get a deep discount, but not at full price or if you have mobility needs. They need to work out logistics snd update safety in at least one room (ours).
Great place to fully enjoy Santa Monica”
I stayed at this hotel for a few days and loved it. Location is perfect by the beach and shops. Facilities were clean and excellent. Staffs were kind and attentive. I would stay here again.
Amazing property”
What a stunning hotel! Deff a new fave of mine. Only negative was the price of food/ drink and coffee in the morning was very bad..:( apart from that, I had the most memorable stay and can’t wait to return.. just please get better coffee or staff who know how to make a good cup!:)
Elegant and clean”
This place was one of the best hotels I been to in a while. I celebrated with my partner and we both got to enjoy the sunset and sunrise together. Only downside is that the bar is blasting music all night until 3 am. But the hotel is sound proof so you can just close the doors and sleep. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.
