FROM PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE”
I stayed in a 6-bed dormitory with an en-suite bathroom. The room was clean, and spacious and faced the Funkturm Berlin making it perfect for enjoying the pink-golden Berlin sunset. I like the light, small shelve, USB port, and the wall charger installed in each “bed cube” which I find very practical. The beds are comfortable enough but don’t expect a beauty sleep and head up! The soft pillows will swallow your head so fold it in half before you lay to (hopefully not eternal) rest. ;) My backpack fits perfectly in the storage space under the bed which you can secure with a padlock. Bring your own or grab one from the reception where you can also find a little Traveler's shop with towels, ear plugs, a female kit, an umbrella, and much more. The bathroom is small and a bit outdated but does serve the basic purpose. The pipes are from another decade and the shower clogs quickly. The laundry service could be better and machines could use a thorough check-up. Twice I asked for a refund because 2 out of 3 drying machines would still have my clothes wet after 2 hours of “drying”. Even though the cleaning service folks do a great job, I’d appreciate it if they’d start after 10:00 am (check out) since the noise always takes away at least 1 sleeping hour. The location of the hostel is great, 5 min walk from the S-Bahn Landsberger Alle and Tram making it easy to reach the city center. Rewe, DM, and Apotheke Burger King are just around the corner and Kaufland is a short walk away. The restaurants are close by but I personally only used the Wolt app to tap into endless options of Berlin’s international cuisine. Red curry crispy chicken (tofu option) from Miss Phuong restaurant is a must! Fantastic Stay with Great Staff”
The facilities were excellent with a great view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the location was not perfect, it was still good enough. The cleanliness was remarkable and the value for money was great. However, the noise level made it difficult to sleep. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great facilities and staff.
