Very small room, very small stand shower
great value hotel”
In general this is a good hotel. The buffet breakfast is good with a wide selection but no bacon or pork sausages. However, there is ham available. The rooms are of a good standard quiet enough but the bathroom is a little on the small side, The location is about 20 mins walk from the main nightlife are and only 10 mins from the national museum. The are is generally well presented compared to the downtown area. to access the Hamra area take bus no.2 about 5 mins walk from hotel. The staff at the hotel are quite well informed about places to see in Beirut and can help with ordering taxi's making reservations at restaurants and the chef Amer is very accommodating for all breakfast needs. on the whole compared to other hotel offers in Beirut, this was the best and would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to go to Beirut.
Not premium or deluxe”
The staff was eager to assist but the hotel was way overpriced for the quality and cleanliness of the facilities was more like a two star hotel. One night there was a party in the rooms next to us and the hotel staff was not able to contain the noise.
Great View, but avoid the 8th floor”
Room is big and spacious (we got upgraded). It contains a small kitchen even. There was a sitting room and then a separate room as a bed room. Toilets are very clean, but the water wasn't that hot (but it wasn't cold either, just this strange lukewarm feeling). Bed is comfortable, and does not come with any bugs. Location is slightly out of the way of most things, except the Museum and the Hippodrome. It took us at least 15 mins to walk to any decent restaurant near Sodeco Square. And the walk wasn't exactly scenic. Hard to get a cab in front of the hotel, you'll need to call for one, which means higher cab prices. Internet is at 3 US per hour, which is OK but it would be great if it was free, like at most cafes in Beirut. Overall, a nice place, if you like quiet (probably one of the few hotels at this price).
