Excellent hotel for solo traveler”
I stayed at the Good Times Resort for 4 nights in January. As a solo female traveler, I always felt safe, as the hotel is far enough off Kanchanaburi's main road. The room was perfect: immaculately clean, beautiful river views, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom (with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water). The ground were stunning and well kept and all the staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The two resort pools were a nice bonus. Breakfast had a good selection of Thai and Western options - and there was always ample seating available. I ate several times in the restaurant for lunch - and the food was always excellent and reasonably priced. Great views from the restaurant as well. The location was perfect: 20 min (easy) walk to the River Kwai Bridge and a 15 min walk to the night market. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, and 7/11s within a 5 min walk from the resort - although the resort itself is quiet and peaceful. For a very reasonable fee, the staff took me to the bus station and helped me get on the right bus back to Bangkok. I would 100% recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing stay, on a quiet and beautiful property, yet close enough to be able to walk around the main town.

Good Times by name and good times by nature”
Very nice stay at Good Times Resort for 4 nights (26 to 30 May 2021) Room I booked was lagoon view - 1 large double bed and 1 single) was clean and perfect for my wife and I and our daughter. The resort is great. Beautiful and well maintained gardens, which is particularly impressive as this must be difficult with the covid situation and lack of tourists. The swimming pool was great entertainment for our daughter. The resort location is very good, close to the restaurants and bars areas outside on Sangchuto Rd - and not too far from the Bridge. The food at the restaurant was very nice and excellent service.

Green, clean, lovely resort. ”
Nice and clean room with some space to sit outside. Clean swimming pool. Good restaurant with nice view. Lovely garden environment. But the most lovely thing about this resort is the people working there. They are really friendly, kind and service minded. My son was interested in the fish so they gave him bread to feed them. It is the small things which make your stay enjoyable!

Perfect”
Having lived in Thailand for many years and visited countless hotels all across the country, I can say I cannot remember a hotel with a staff as terrific as the one at Good Times. We only spent one night because it was just a quick getaway from Bangkok, but every single person we encountered was great -- from the amazing front desk staff to the smiling restaurant staff to the ultra-friendly gardeners and housekeepers . No staffers ignoring the guests by talking on their phones or hanging out in groups. And what a difference that makes! Throw in a perfect location just far enough from the bars to be quiet but close enough to walk easily, and a gorgeous riverside setting and you have the ideal base for Kanchanaburi. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Really Really good”
This property is one of the best 3-star hotels I have stayed in anywhere in Thailand, great location easy 5 min walk to 7 11, bars and restaurants, located right on the river, the restaurant is exceptional, great food reasonably priced, staff were so friendly and helpful, they are like a family, the owner is really nice and will go out of her way to say hello, pool is good, plenty of shade, we stayed in a room for three, spacious with balcony, you can book all tours from hotel as well as taxis, Wi Fi works fine, hotel is very clean.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Everyone from the cleaners to the hotel manager were wonderful. The riverside location is an added bonus. I have seen some comments about how far the hotel is from the main road....... I have arthritis in both knees and handled the short walk without a problem. I would definitely stay again....

Excellent getaway from Bangkok”
Pros Food was excellent, location was good, staff was friendly, cleanliness exceptional. Absolute Value for money Cons: Riverside was more scenic towards Erawan National Park. In room Massage option was there but a tie up from outside parlour, not in-house.

First time in this area and perfect for a 4night stay. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Bonus is that the hotel has a travel agency and arranged well run tours which are brilliant value for money. Breakfast is of 3star standard ,nothing exciting but the restaurant at night is exceptional with good quality Thai and Western food in a lovely setting overlooking the River Kwai. There are different standards of room but choose according to your budget as all are very clean and have good quality linen and towels. If there are any problems the hotel owners are always on site and are great people who work very hard with the customer satisfaction as the number 1 priority! If we return to the area the Good Times Resort will definitely be our choice of a place to stay!

Super stay”
There are no cons at all. Resort is superb, clean, nice and friendly, close to sight seeing. They also have travel agency with great prices. And they also have massage that comes to your room:) Breakfast is very good too

We stayed here 4 nights. Large clean well equipped rooms. Very friendly helpful staff and a fantastic buffet breakfast overlooking the river. Close to restaurants, cafes, bike hire, attractions etc. Lovely pool area and gardens. would definitely stay here again.

What a beautifully well looked after resort. The trees and flowers around the resort were gorgeous and to be able to sit and eat at their riverside restaurant by the River Kwai was an added bonus. The food was very good and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Not only would we recommend this resort to anyone, but if we came back to this area this is definitely the the place we would want to stay at again.

Great boutique hotel for a few days relaxing stay ”
Superb location, riverside. Quiet. Beautiful reviderside restaurant for breakfast. Room simple, clean, nit luxurious but with such a great location and wonderful sights of kancahnaburi .. why stay in your room?

Reliable stay once again”
Second time to stay here. More than acceptable rate for a reliable stay in Kanchanaburi. Location is excellent, tucked away from the main street but right on the river, not too far from key attractions and the main bar street if you're into that. 7-Eleven a brief walk away. The resort is well landscaped and has two pools which I have never used. Rooms are always clean and room facilities are more than adequate. Restaurant is well-priced and seems to be an attraction for those not staying here also. Breakfast isn't amazing but that's more my personal tastes of the food they have on offer. Always friendly staff. You can't go wrong with staying at Good Times!

Great hotel on the river”
Great location on the river within mins of the busy Main Street. 7-11 close at hand turn left on main rd, about 200 meters on opposite side, great laundry 30 baht per kilo, breakfast Is good and rooms bright and clean

Truly Oasis”
*Good point 1. Nice location ( near tourists attraction and near the river ) 2. Spacious room with plenty of room amenities. 3. There are 2 pools. 4. There are lot is tree, which make you feel fresh. *Down side* 1. Limited choices of breakfast. 2. There is a smoking desk near the breakfast area, which is open area and guests will smell it . So, i would recommend to move the smoking desk to else where.

Exceptional place to stay ”
It has a great location, beautiful garden and warm service. My grandparents love the serene atmosphere over there with clean and spacious family room, a pond filled with fishes and a small swimming pool.

We will be back”
Our second stay and we will for sure be back. Great family hotel, but also nice for couples. We had large room, private, spacious. Great breakfast buffet and a very good restaurant located right at the river. Calm, peaceful, relaxing. Not super luxury but a homely easy feel good place. Family run business. Great staff very welcoming. Love it!
