Highly recommendable”
What a beautiful place to stay! We had wonderful days at Haad Gruad Beach bungalows. The bungalows are fine, we even had an airco, and sitting on the terrace one meter away from the water listening to the waves is a real paradise. Even though we could not swim at this beach due to low tide during the day, we would recommend this to everyone looking for quiteness, away from big resorts and many tourists. The host family is really amazing, breakfast and dinner are great and they are very kind. We recommend to rent a motorbike directly from the hosts to discover the island.

Nice bungalows on private beach with a good price”
We (3 friends) spent 4 nights in the A/C family bungalow in April 2019 and had a great time! In our house there were 2 big double beds surrounded by mosquito nets and a spacious bathroom which was partially open-air. Room style was minimal - no table or mini fridge was placed, only 2 beds and a hanger for the clothes. The staff who works here is amazing! They are around from early morning to late night, always available for any question and also make food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The beach that belongs to the bungalows is quiet and totally private. When you walk into the water there are sharp rocks and some sea-urchins, so be careful with your steps, better to wear sea-socks. If you swim further you can see some nice fish under the sea however the corals are all damaged. There is a huge swing on the beach which was really fun! If you want to go around the island, I suggest renting a motorbike because taxi is more expensive. We totally recommend this place!

Super relaxed ”
We really enjoyed our stay! The bungalows are quite basic but that's perfectly fine. Super relaxed place, nice beach, free snorkeling equipment, kayak and scooter for rent, super delicious food in the little restaurant with a lot of vegetarian options. We had a really good time and were quite sad when we had to leave :)

Beautiful but secluded”
We stayed here after a week in Bangkok and its a really beautiful place. Privat beach was amazing and staff were lovely. We only stayed 2 nights as we needed a bit of decompression from Bangkok and that it definitely was. However it is very remote, neither of us ride scooters and didn't trust getting to grips with it over full moon party weekend hence why we moved. If we were coming for a holiday we probably could have stayed here for a full week but we are travelling on a budget so needed to be closer to civilisation.

Relaxing and welcoming place.”
Haad Gruad Beach was a lovely place to stay. The staff and family who run the business are very welcoming and nice. It is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay.

Very silent but not recommended for children”
Very silent area... Good to relax. But not recommended for families with children because beach completely useless for children due to stones in the water. No sand at all. Makes only sense for people who wants to have silent time using a scooter to go to more interesting places...

Perfect hidden gem ”
From the moment we arrived we knew that we'd want to extend our stay and sure enough we did. We can't say enough good things about this wonderful family run hideaway. Beautiful location, self-contained bungalows, reasonable prices, good food and amazing staff - thank you Kop and Tok! Our stay was made even more perfect by Lucy, the resident beach dog (and by an exciting monitor lizard sighting). Please don't change a thing Haad Gruad Beach Bungalows, you are perfect and we will be back again!

Lovely and quiet ”
The people there are lovely so kind and happy we felt bad about leaving. It is out the way but sometimes that’s just what you want. The only thing that wasn’t great was the bathroom didn’t have a door. Otherwise this place is amazing hammocks everywhere so beautiful.

Basic bungalow, snorkelers bonanza ”
Near Haad Salad- very kind and attentive staff, a snorkelers dream. Wear shoes on beach! But...at night the ants came. A campers paradise though!

Cheap,simple,small yet comfortable ”
Very very chilled little hut, warm shower, comfortable bed, nice staff, friendly. Not a sandy beach but still nice. Rent a motorcycle and explore.

Nice service and owners!”
The place is secluded, quite and perfect to get away from the noise from life. It is hard to get in and out on a scooter if you are a novice driver (like me!). Owner was extremely helpful and helped me to drive the scooter out. Salad beach is quite close and quite close by foot if you go through cookies resort. Restaurant isn’t well priced. Rooms are comfy and each have relaxing views and hamacas for solo time. Will definitely go back on my next trip to Koh Pha-ngan.

Paradise! ”
We loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly. The private beach is like a little bit of paradise! Great for chilling out. Also i left my passport there and the woman kindly sent it to me in koh tao via ferry, thank you so much! :)

This place and it's very friendly host really made us enjoy and could have been the sole reason to visit Kho Phagnan.

Calmness and friendly staff ”
I recommend this place for people looking for a calm spot, with little beach (low tide in the morning so you can't swim). The staff is very friendly and the bungalow are clean. The best ones are on the rocks with the small terrace on the sea.

Very nice staff very helpfull, good clean rooms”
The swing between the tree's on the beach is the best! The rooms are nice and clean. We had a non airco one, the only downside was that as soon as the airco started, our lights and fan dimmed. Also if you rent a scooter, be careful and experienced when driving from and to the location. It's a slippery dirt road (in the rain season?). We would stay here again without a doubt and would advise anyone the same!

Secluded beach with sunset on your own”
Small secluded part rocky , part sandy beach.. if you like small secluded beach with the sunset just for yourself and only a couple people(also in the morning) , this place is for you.. if you ride motorbike here be more careful coz a part of street down here is gravel not smooth slope.. many mosquites during twilight as normal.. but i will definitely come back here because of calmness here.. Plus , if the wave not too rough.. outside the shore here is probably one of the best spot for snorkelling on the island.. and they have a swing to sway your soul away. Nice people there.
