Staycation”
My boyfriend and I went down for a night. We are locals of the area but do not live in New Orleans. I am very familiar with the area and was surprised at the location of the Inn. You can not park in front of the inn, but have to park on a side street and walk back. This was not too inconvenient, but I didn't particularly appreciate leaving my vehicle on the side street where I could not see it. The room is advertised as having a balcony.... which is what I assumed we would have, however it is more like a tiny porch that is very close to the sidewalk on St. Charles. The inn is located not in the heart of uptown New Orleans but only one block from the interstate. So, sitting on the porch did not provide for a pleasurable experience. The room was very clean. However, it smelled heavily of Pine Sol. Which to me is not a pleasant smell. I will not be staying there again.

We booked a room for a wedding through the groom’s recommendation. I we weren’t sure what to expect, and when we arrived, we discovered that it was in a fantastic location, right on St Charles Avenue. We did have an issue with the bathtub when we arrived. There was a dark stain in the bathtub and we reported it to the manager. She was wonderful, first showing up with cleaning supplies. She discovered that it was a stain in the tub and immediately moved us into another room without incident. The manager was wonderful and we will definitely book our next stay Herron our return to New Orleans.

We stayed at the Historic Streetcar Inn over the Thanksgiving holiday with our young daughter. The area felt very safe. There was always a parking spot open on the perpendicular block. We made heavy use of the street car by getting the 3 Day Jazzy pass. It takes you straight to the middle of Canal street where everything is happening, so we were able to not have to deal with parking. I also liked how each room was unique. We had two rooms that were laid out completely differently, had different showers/beds, etc. It made us feel more at-home, rather than just some cookie cutter hotel chain. It’s also right next door to U Pizza. The first night we arrived we ate there because it was convenient and it turned out to be delicious. On Thanksgiving day, when everything else on St. Charles was closed, it was open so we ended up having dinner there again, got something completely different and it was still delicious. And they have a bar too, which I may have taken advantage of a couple of times. Also it’s worth pointing out that downtown traffic the two days after thanksgiving is a bit of a mess due to the bayou classic. This location was far enough away from that to not really be impacted by that, other than streetcar availability (it was still available but didn’t go all the way to canal, so we did end up having to walk a few extra blocks). When we arrived there was a minor issue with one of the room keys, due to a new computer system but the receptionist was extremely helpful getting that resolved. Overall we would happily stay there again.

Diane was amazing and the location was perfect, very New Orleans vibes. Perfect spot for a fun birthday weekend very quiet and the pizza shop next door was amazing we ate there twice! The mozzarella sticks were the best we’ve ever had! Free street parking and truly right across the street. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

Rooms were spacious and cool, the toilet stopped working and they had it repaired immediately. Could be cleaner all around (floors, and bathroom) but overall was a great stay!
