Stylish and unique”
I found Hotel Hi-Ho by chance, browsing through Google maps. I was feeling adventurous and passed on one of the known chains, and decided to give it a try. i’m glad I did! It was one of the better hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. While the check-in was contactless, when I called the information number to get the instructions on how to check in and get my room the person that answered was extremely friendly and helpful. She welcomed me and assured me they were available 24 seven for anything I needed. The room itself while not big was very clean and decorated in a modern stylish way. there were a lot of restaurants nearby as well as a fancy one connected to the hotel itself. The water pressure was great, the bed was comfortable, and the room smelled fresh and clean. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel the next time I’m in this area.

My family and I went to a concert at the Hartford amphitheater in the Hotel Hi Ho was less than 20 minutes away! It was a great deal and the room was perfect for what we needed. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom. We would definitely stay again! They also had a really cute restaurant attached to the building. We wished we would’ve been able to have had dinner here but ran out of time! We will definitely make this our go to stop when visiting g CT for the concert venue!

Overall I really liked this place. It was extremely clean, Tastefully furnished, and the manager was super friendly. One thing that would make it better is if the third party Integrations with their website worked properly so that booking through a third party would not prevent customers from getting the necessary check-in documents. Or at least providing a warning on the description of the hotel mentioning that this might be an issue so fewer guests are caught off guard. Another thing to improve is how the music from the restaurant can actively be heard in the hotel rooms. It woke me up several times into the night ( I go to bed earlier than most people). Not sure what to do about that though. Just be conscious of it I guess. Finally the climate control thing in our room despite being turned off kept turning on every 10 minutes or so and blowing cold air for about 10 seconds before turning off again. It was really annoying and made the room colder than necessary. But all these things are relatively small nitpicky things. I think overall this is a great hotel for the price. Definitely one of the better ones on my trip.
Good hotel, not the best check in or staff ”
I like the Hi Ho and have had a few stays here. Good modern rooms and a reasonable price. The only drawback is the check in procedure because you have to call them so they email you a check in form, then you fill it out and then you have to wait for another email with a 6 digit code to get in your room. All this is happening while you sit in their parking lot struggling for phone signal (1 bar). My advise is to make the check in smoother and also to make the 6 digit code your DOB or something easier to remember. When trying to talk to the front desk person to get these emails (they are at a different location), I expressed the check in could be smoother but the employee was rude when I gave my feedback saying “the check In process is smooth.” Funny to hear that response considering she wasn’t the one checking in. My only other advise for travelers is to put some of the pillows on the corners of the beds otherwise good chance you will hit the bed frame on your shins.

The Hi Ho was a clean, tidy hotel where and when we needed it. It’s nothing fancy, but it was a good price and I have no big complaints. The decor was simple, but the bathroom fixtures were nice, and the king size bed was very comfortable. It’s also nice that there is a Spanish restaurant and wine bar on location that is open late! The only glitch was with the check-in. I was told I’d receive an email with a link to check in on the day prior to arrival. But I did not receive it automatically, so I had to call the customer service number. After that, all was fine. I would have liked a mini fridge and some real coffee creamer as well, but those were not major issues. Overall, we had a good experience. I would stay there again.
