Hotel Iris, A Dog Friendly Good Place to Stay”
Dog friendly with Dog Beach plus lots of parks nearby. Staff was really nice and helpful, beds were comfy, room was very clean, loved the shower head and plenty of hot water, and awesome sized TV with tons of entertainment possibilities. Recommend staying here for a reasonably-priced dog friendly hotel in a great location.

Oh, Iris Hotel, where do I begin? Maybe with the two cockroaches I found—one by the bed and another in the bathtub. It’s not every day you feel the need to wear sandals in a hotel room, yet still want a full-body disinfectant afterward. But cockroaches are the least of your worries here. The real horror is the people who seem to live at this hotel, clearly dealing drugs. When we left our room to grab a bite, we returned to find a drugged-out woman standing by our door—a disturbing sight. And let’s not forget the building’s condition: cracked concrete and shaky floors. One small earthquake, and this place could collapse. The service wasn’t any better. The general manager, a guy from India, got offended when I mentioned the cockroach issue, and he was hard to understand, as was the rest of the staff from India. To top it off, they looked dirty, which didn’t inspire any confidence in the hotel’s cleanliness. So, if you’re into creepy crawlies, shady characters, and questionable safety, Iris Hotel is the place for you. I’d call this stay 'American Horror Story: Iris Hotel.' Bravo, Iris Hotel, you’ve truly set the bar low.
Excellent motel ”
First time using this motel. Room was huge, clean and has lots of furniture (2 tables, bed, couch and end table). There's an on ice machine, drinks, iron and board, hangers, lots of towels. We had a great night. Place was quite and has a pool. Jacuzzi was getting repairs.
Renovated room. some issues”
Hotel Circle South location. The basic room, a queen with kitchenette was fine. some items were breaking down. House phone was dead ( we used our cells- no problem). dresser has loose drawers. Hard to get towels & soap. TV was a big problem (room 240) it would die every 30 hrs or so. After 2 visits from repair lady & manager i jury rigged a fix. a rubber band on the HDMI cable between Cox Cable box and TV. still dies but easy to move loose cable to fix. Needs a new HDMI cable. No dishes or plates/ silverware in kitchen - may be Covid rule. Good fridge but a bit large for space. did not use stovetop burners. Microwave fine. Coffee is in lobby all morning or longer. had an ironing board but no iron or hair dryer. we got a hair dryer on request. Adequate free parking. WiFi works well. I found room OK for price (all hotels in this area are high price- even Motel 6) My wife was not so happy.

First off I just wanna say I’m not complaining and I’m not trying to be rude. After reading the reviews I still decided to book a room for one evening. In saying that I pretty much knew what to expect. The staff was wonderful. Polite and nice. Unfortunately when we got to our room our bed had dog prints on it. The dog paw prints were pretty clear to the eye. Again not complaining it was no issue we just called for room service for clean bedsheets. Housekeeping was there in no time to change the sheets. The bathroom did look like it needed to be cleaned, it wasn’t terrible but you can see that housekeeping is very minimal or maybe they don’t have a full-service housekeeping onsite, I don’t know. I will not post any photos on google only because I have faith that this place will easily be able to correct these small issues. The location was ideal for me and my husband. Not a far drive to a beach or chill pool hall. There was even a super target close by! I would probably book again in the future mainly because I did enjoy the staff and location.
