My opinions: Wonderful staff, excellent customer service from all employees. Hot tub was nice Light bright airy interior Excellent breakfast buffet Complementary infused water and cookies at the front desk. Nice workout room with complementary infused water. Nice views of LadyBird Lake from treadmills. Quality linens and toiletries. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Nice outdoor eating area overlooking the lake and views of the skyline. Kayak / water rentals, bat watching pontoon excursions are steps from the hotel. Hotel is adjacent to a nice river walking path. Coffee makers are in the room and Starbucks is on the premises. Hotel was very accommodating about holding our bags until our room was ready and providing us with early check-in (even texting us when the room was ready!).

Near the bridge where the bats come out at night. You can walk from the hotel to the bridge or to the park that is under the bridge for viewing the bats. Too bad I tried waiting for the bats for 2 nights, but it was a rainy day and the bats didn't come out till really late. I was there by 7.00pm and left at 8.15pm coz we got tired of waiting standing up. I went to the pool which had a great view of Austin City center across the river and heard from some people that the bats eventually came out at 9pm. Glad I didn't wait that long! I was enjoying the pool by that time. There's a jogging path from the pool that goes directly under the bridge. The gym was nice too. The people were friendly and lots of parking in their parking garage across the hotel. Very busy and big hotel. Nice view from the glass elevators too. comfortable beds and rooms

LOCATION”

This facility is located next to or near anything you could ever want or need. We were here for 5 days and did not rent a car. There are numerous options for getting around down town. Plus, the staff here was unbelievably nice!

Prepare to be nickel and dimed ”

The hotel room was quite comfortable and the location is good however this hotel will nickel and dime you for everything they can which will result in the price of the hotel almost doubling. Parking is $40 then if you want water in your room (every other hote provides free water bottles) they will give them to you and add a high charge to your room even though they don’t tell you they charge you at the time. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Old worn out furniture in the room, dirty bathroom. No effort to service guests, using excuse of pandemic, no effort. Rude staff. Rather like glorified camping.

Parking and Lobby ”

Parking was way too expensive and some of the lobbies smelled bad from water damage.

Luxury at a Reasonable price”

We found everything about this Hyatt Regency Austin to our liking. It was upscale yet the staff was personable and connected with us throughout our stay. We were there on Christmas Eve and for the next few days including an extension of one day. We got sound advice on where to go and what not to miss. When the skies opened up in Austin on the 26DEC an umbrella was provided. The breakfast buffet although expensive was not to be topped. The menu changed so you would not get bored (not a chance here with the choices). I can hardly wait for an excuse to return to Austin just to stay here.

Altogether a great stay. The only issue was the pool was too small and when it gets busy, which it nearly always was it didn't look clean. May need to think of expanding or cleaning more often.

Anniversary retreat”

We were in Austin to celebrate our anniversary and really enjoyed staying at the Hyatt Regency. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room with the lake view was awesome!!

Great downtown location on the river. Easy walk or Uber to great restaurants. Job along river.
